The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the rustic atmosphere is truly special, and the quality/price ratio is excellent. Reservations are recommended as seating is limited!

15/12/2025: I’m glad the search for lunch brought us up. The setting is beautiful. Just remember not to follow GPS the last 3 min up the steep and narrow slope but continue on the road with a left turn to public parking. The restaurant was very welcoming and super attentive in their service. We ordered the steak, pork chop and fettuccine with porcini, side vegetables with house red. Portions were generous and we liked best the side dish of mushroom/pumpkin/celeraic which was served cold. The steak was very well prepared as was the perfectly al dente fettucine. Pork chop could have been more moist with more Wish we had got a proper bottle instead of house as it seemed to have not been properly stored. But for the price of 5 euros one really cannot complain! Otherwise a very excellent meal. Wish we had more stomach for dessert as we wanted to try the house made tiramisu and cheesecake. Thank you for a good memory Osteria Castello 43!

25/02/2026: We were tied to the time, and then, given the large crowd, we waited longer than expected for the second course. In the final remarks, as soon as the second course was finished, there were a few small encouragements to respect the second sitting. On a sad note, the owner, as soon as he heard the negative comments about some of the comments, became resentful and insulted me. On a sad note, from a renowned restaurant, I expected much more; I think the prices don't reflect the quality. For example, a grilled dish costs 22 euros. Cm from the photo.

15/02/2026: Every time I place an order through the app and pick it up at the counter, something is always missing! It could be a coincidence, but it's not possible that out of five orders, something is always missing from the bag! In fact, when we first placed the order, we got home and a sandwich was missing. This time I hadn't checked because I saw that the girl preparing the bag had recounted the sandwiches, but apparently they made an oversight again.

07/12/2025: Let me start by saying that I absolutely hate not having my pizza on my plate (or on MY cutting board, if it's pizza by the slice), and this really threw me off. It's acceptable at best for a family pizza party. The prices are high, a fact emphasized by the lack of commercial beers. It's fine to offer a selection of excellent craft beers for connoisseurs or those curious to try them, but there are also those who would settle for a Peroni or a Moretti to accompany their pizza... a Nastro Azzurro if they really want to go all out! This strange omission significantly increases the already high prices.

07/03/2026: The pizza is easy to digest, with good, high-quality ingredients. The beers are good, with a wide selection. Service is unfortunately slow, taking about an hour for the pizza, and the atmosphere, while very refined, is noisy (the low ceiling certainly doesn't help, as it amplifies normal conversation).

17/12/2025: Delicious, mouth-watering sandwiches at reasonable prices. Last time I tried the Cicerone, which, besides being amazing, is exceptionally good. The only downside is that there are only two tables, but that's a minor detail compared to everything else. Congratulations to the entire staff!

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the attentive service, and the friendly atmosphere make you feel right at home. Excellent value (around €20-30 per person) and perfect for a dinner with friends or family!
