29/04/2025: Very bad experience. we decided to stop at the Prebateo restaurant in Venice, but we immediately regretted it. The place was in disastrous hygienic conditions: cobwebs (with spiders) and dust everywhere, with unsafe cables above our heads - a real danger. The pizzas were obviously frozen, hard and tasteless, really disappointing. A friend of ours ordered a grilled fillet of meat: a tiny square, 5 cm by 5 cm, paid a whopping €20... an absurd price for such a ridiculous portion. To conclude, at the time of the bill there were suspicious roundings: they made us pay €2 more without any justification, inflating the figures incorrectly. Absolutely not recommended. Dirty place, mediocre food and poor honesty in prices.

08/06/2025: We are sitting with friends, the waiter took our order. He served my friends, but not me. After several reminders about where my dish is, the waiter is just starting to pass the order on to the kitchen. Thank you, but I don't like sitting and eating last when all my friends have already eaten. It's a pity that none of the staff speaks English.

18/05/2025: Arrived for breakfast, I ask for the price list to choose what to eat; the staff asks me to consult the menu from the QR code but it didn't work. At this point the bar staff left without fixing the problem and without asking what we wanted to eat. After this experience, never again in this place.

21/05/2025: I accompanied a school trip to this facility from May 13 to 17. The rooms reserved for students were a little small but very clean. The service was excellent: the owner and the staff were welcoming, patient with the students and prompt in solving any small problems that arose. The location was a problem for us teachers because being right in the center at night we could hear the noise of the customers of the bars surrounding the hotel at least until 2 in the morning. The meals were plentiful and the food was very good so much so that some students and some teachers asked for seconds.

03/05/2025: The hotel is located the worst place possible. The party area... I couldn't sleep a single day. The bathroom was full of ants and also I find one of them in the bed. Also the AC is not working and the rooms are really warm. The sink was clogged.

29/05/2025: 12 euros for a 40cl beer and a small bottle of water, an attack!! I asked for the amount several times because I wasn't sure I had understood correctly.

28/05/2025: Be careful, tourist trap, too expensive and bad service, he adds random fees to the prices, ask before ordering. Rude owner. The location is awesome but not worth the money. Be careful, the prices have nothing to do with the menu, so always ask. Otherwise, he'll charge you whatever he wants. He makes up surcharges on the spot. The staff: arrogant and rude.

15/06/2025: I have always appreciated your cooking, but yesterday at noon I ate one of your worst dishes... a lasagna that had only the grated cheese on top that was good. We tried it in 3 adults and in addition to having no taste, it seemed made of plastic, practically inedible.

04/06/2025: ABANDON ALL HOPE, YOU WHO ENTER... I'll start by saying that we are restaurateurs so I always avoid giving reviews to colleagues but I can't help but share this evening... a mix of raw fish that was embarrassing to say the least, (90 euros for 2) fish that was clearly defrosted and dirty. Non-existent service, we had to ask for everything in the total embarrassment of a waiter who wanted to be anywhere else but there. To follow we had a soute" of mussels that we forgot about... we wanted to fill our stomachs with bread but nothing... they were tasteless industrial brioches. We abandoned the idea of ​​choosing anything else from the menu and left bitter and above all hungry. Moral of the story... a bill of 125 euros for 2 and very hungry. I would like to tell these people who do this job that customers should not be treated like cash machines and that with food you make love and not war... having said that, never again!!!!

03/06/2025: I was pampered from the beginning. The staff was kind, always available and attentive to my every request, without forcing anything. The dishes, in addition to being scenic and well-finished, were really delicious!! The atmosphere also deserves a mention: well-finished, welcoming and with a well-defined identity. Truly unique for Chioggia.

26/05/2025: Gran cerveza helada servida en vasos helados! Pizzas también muy sabrosas, tan bueno que volvimos dos veces! Personal encantador. Precios realmente razonables.

14/05/2025: We went there for dinner, attracted by the beauty of the restaurant. How disappointed we were when we left. The service was certainly pleasant and the place pretty, but that's not all. Don't go there to enjoy pizzas!!! The two we had that evening were really not good, even disgusting for my partner's, which she didn't even eat half of. Everything needs to be reviewed: the dough, the toppings, the cooking. The pizza was swimming in water released by the mushrooms, so the dough was soggy. The taste was disgusting. Mine was edible, but only because I was very hungry. The owner told us that Italians liked pizzas like that, but it didn't work; we ate pizzas 100 times better during our week in Italy.

11/05/2025: Fast and friendly service. We had pizza. Even for Italy, the motherland of the dish, it was excellent. The beer (on draught) was quite good - we had 2 kinds of red beer.

28/05/2025: Parece una buena relación calidad-precio, pero realmente, ir a la vuelta de la esquina a Sepa! Nos atendió una mujer en una camisa roja que no podía encontrar una sonrisa hasta que nos íbamos - la mujer en un short negro detrás del coche era simplemente encantador. La comida era buena pero cara para la zona y se equivocaron de orden - en general este bar tiene la capacidad de ser brillante, pero la mujer malhumorada que sirve la comida impactará la experiencia

06/05/2025: Recomendado como parte de un tour en TripAdvisor libro sobre Venecia. No decepcionó. Grandes tapas y una copa de prosecco. Definitivamente divertido en la planta baja. Tire sus cosas en una mesa y luego vuelva y pida sus tapas y bebidas.

07/06/2025: Misadvertised prices on the window (all to go away, not to sit in). Sit in price hidden in the menu in a not obvious location. Expect an upmark of 2x the price of whatever you're paying. Screw scammy business models like this, make it clear near the counter or the tables the different prices. Make it clear on the window prices.

02/06/2025: Don’t get all the bad reviews. Can only put them down to unrealistic expectations or not understanding local customs. Given this is so close to Rialto I wouldn’t expect the quality to be so good or the prices so reasonable. That’s why we return each trip - usually multiple times. A pasta for €16-€20. A main for €19-€22 (including options for a piece of fish or a fish by weight which sometimes catches people out. Desserts at €6 and wine under €20 a bottle. Yes service is now on the bill. It’s clearly stated but until a few years ago it wasn’t. We’ve never been pressured to pay an additional service charge, though we sometimes do. Our choice.

02/06/2025: Delusione totale in una delle trattorie più decantate di Venezia Su consiglio di un residente, ho cenato alla Trattoria della Madonna, presentata come una delle più antiche e rinomate della città. Purtroppo l’esperienza è stata decisamente negativa. Il pesce servito era chiaramente surgelato e preparato in anticipo, senza alcuna cura. La granseola, indicata come piatto forte, è arrivata nel carapace palesemente riutilizzato, con una poltiglia poco invitante e dal sapore discutibile (22 € a persona). L’antipasto della casa (oltre 30 € a testa) consisteva in pochi assaggi di mare: gamberetti precotti, canocchie e lumache riscaldate, più un moscardino non pulito e amarissimo. Il fritto misto era gommoso, il guazzetto di seppie pesante e accompagnato da una polenta palesemente industriale. Con vino della casa in caraffa e tre sorbetti, il conto è arrivato a 330 € in quattro. Esperienza deludente sotto ogni aspetto. Peccato: Venezia merita ben altro. Sconsigliato.
