11/11/2025: I was looking for a quick dinner on the way home from work, and based on the excellent reviews, I decided to try this restaurant. The owner was wonderful, very kind and helpful. I felt comfortable right away. I had a generous slice of steak (about 400g), tender and perfectly cooked, with polenta and grilled vegetables. It was evening, but I realized the place also offers a great view in daylight. Not far away is a beautiful castle you can visit. The price was really competitive. It's one of those places where you automatically leave a tip. Thanks again to the owner. I will definitely be back, especially to try the desserts, which looked excellent.

16/11/2025: I went to Trattoria San Bastian today. The food is good, the atmosphere is refined, and the service is friendly: nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, I have to report a major disappointment: my dog, locked in her carrier, wasn't allowed in. Before coming, I checked the website and found no information about a policy prohibiting pets. I also question whether the policy is there and I just didn't see it, but if so, it's not clearly communicated. I find it absolutely legitimate for a restaurant to choose not to accept pets, but I believe it's essential to inform customers in advance, especially when small animals are kept in carriers. Transparent communication would avoid unpleasant situations and allow for an informed choice. In conclusion: good food, but a rigid pet policy and a lack of clarity in communication are aspects that detracted from the overall experience.

08/11/2025: Fast service. Good quality. 2 points. The menu included 0.75-liter water, but the bill was 1-liter. I ordered the mixed grill without chicken but with an extra rib, which added a €1.50 markup.

03/07/2025: Bepi numero 1. Come dribblare dal club sandwich alle capelonghe passando per la caldaia triestina per arrivare allo spiedo. E uno spaghetto all'una di notte non lo si nega (quasi) mai a nessuno.

23/10/2025: A very disappointing experience. We had reserved a table for two. Upon arrival, no one greeted us or told us where to sit. We saw a reserved table for two in the center of the room and sat down. The owner immediately arrived with an extremely rude attitude, lecturing us without even trying to understand. Despite everything, we decided to stay for dinner, but the experience didn't improve: average food, very high prices for the quality offered. Finally, another unkind comment about us not being able to sit without permission. A terrible welcome that completely ruined the evening. We won't be returning, and we don't recommend this restaurant.
