11/11/2025: Today, a group of friends and I followed the Venerable Confraternity's recommendations to enjoy a plate of Vicenza-style cod at a recommended restaurant participating in the "Bacala a prezzo speciale" (Bacala at a special price) initiative for San Martino, November 11th. We had booked ahead of time, but after a long wait, we were served a dish with a lot of liquid and not enough cod, causing confusion and surprise among our fellow diners. A negative experience.

09/11/2025: This is a restaurant I frequented years ago, but returning was a thrill. I found the same flavors and the kindness that's somewhat lacking in other places. The appetizers, the cod risotto were superb...the tagliata al vinegar balsamico was top-notch, and the homemade desserts were top-notch. My family and I will definitely be back. Congratulations to everyone.

05/10/2025: Dirty place, sticky tables full of crumbs. We ordered and were sent away saying, "Coffee is €3, you can leave the table." The staff was unfriendly and rude. I'm giving it one star, but it deserves even less.

17/08/2025: Cozy, typically Italian café. Very good, creamy cappuccino (€1.70). Good pastries. Comfortable chairs. Beautiful view of the main square. Cozy atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Here you can linger in peace and enjoy the Italian flair. (August 2025)

21/06/2025: Delicious artisanal ice cream! Recommended.

04/06/2025: Rudeness and zero taste. I go in and calmly ask for a tub of 4 flavors, as I always do in any ice cream shop I've been to, and I find myself with an annoyed expression and a long speech about how "we have to stop with this 4 flavors thing" "because it doesn't make sense we have to order with half a kilo etc." Now, assuming that no one in an ice cream shop had ever made such a scene with me for a completely normal request, the biggest problem remains the attitude. I am a person who enters everywhere with a smile, and receiving such an arrogant and annoyed response was truly unpleasant. And do we want to talk about the ice cream? If it weren't for the different colors, I wouldn't have been able to distinguish one flavor from the other. Disappointing experience from every point of view. Too bad, because with a little more respect for the customers (and a little more flavor), it would have taken very little to make a completely different impression. To answer: no I didn't choose the wrong ice cream shop, put 3-4 flavors ok, what I wrote is something else.

16/11/2025: A SCAM!! Paid €18 for a takeaway rabbit, found with 3 measly pieces, most of which were bones!!!!!

08/12/2025: Terrible service; when we called the waiters, they often pretended not to hear. Furthermore, despite our kindness, they never once smiled at us from the moment we entered until the moment we left. We waited an hour for three courses, after asking twice or three times where they were, and after seeing that, at the tables nearby, the customers who arrived after us had already been served. The coffees finally arrived a quarter of an hour after we ordered... I'm giving the two stars only for the nice atmosphere, and for the food, which was otherwise quite good.

02/12/2025: PARKING Getting to Verba Volant is already an act of faith. Between the university, the students, and the cars parked with Zen-like creativity, finding a spot requires patience... and a pinch of spirituality. If you manage it, you already feel worthy of a coffee. Or a medal. SET-UP The place isn't bad, I swear. It's just... suspended. A sort of time capsule that stopped when floppy disks were still in use. The furnishings could use a refresh, especially considering its proximity to the university. In short, potential young customers do pass by here, but the interior seems to whisper: "Don't rush, guys, we're still living in '93." THE DESSERTS DISPLAY The croissants? Honest. The desserts? Promising. The presentation? Um... let's just say it doesn't help. It's like watching a good student go to an exam in sweatpants and slippers: the content is there, but it doesn't shine. OUTDOOR APPOINTMENT, INDOOR AREA A LITTLE LESS Plus point: a large, comfortable outdoor area, perfect for getting some fresh air and leaving the Padua traffic behind. Minus point: the indoor area. Dim, dated, slightly melancholic. It reminds one of a cave where you expect to encounter a wise old man... or at least a working lampshade. SERVICE Absolutely anonymous. Not rude, mind you. But totally lacking that minimum of welcome that makes you say, "Come on, I'll be back." Here, however, you feel more like a passerby than a customer. And no, that's not great. CONCLUSION A bar with potential, but left a bit adrift. Two stars... and a bit melancholic, too. A shame, because it would take very little to transform a "static" establishment into a place people enjoy going to.

21/10/2025: A wonderful experience! Super fresh fish, cooked with great care by Chef Eva, who is truly talented. Every dish is made with passion, and it shows. Ms. Franca is welcoming, kind, and always attentive, making you feel right at home. The restaurant is intimate, with attention to detail, perfect for a quiet, quality dinner. Highly recommended for those who love good fish and are looking for a place where everything is made with love and professionalism.

29/10/2025: I went to this restaurant for dinner on Valentine's Day. They had a fixed eight-course fish menu for €60. The portions were small, but adding them all together, I wasn't left hungry. I found everything delicious, and the service was attentive and courteous. Overall, I recommend this place.

20/11/2025: A lovely evening spent with friends. I returned after more than ten years, but the place is still worth a visit. The food was good and plentiful, and the service was adequate. It was quiet that evening, so we had a good chat. I recommend it for both groups and couples.

16/11/2025: Very nice place, we ate very well, but it's a shame about the service. We ordered three pizzas and a bruschetta. The bruschetta arrived shortly after, while we waited an hour for the pizzas. They served pizzas to people who arrived later before us, and they served the wrong drinks twice. Excellent pizza with thin crust, the bruschetta was also very good, and the place was very nice. A real shame about the service.
