Very expensive, greasy, pre-made meals, and unappetizing.
The dumplings were served in a buttery soup with lettuce leaves floating in it.... The food arrived 5 minutes after ordering, and I even found a piece of plastic in my hummus.
09/03/2026: Everything was perfect, it's our favorite place.
The food and drink are divine.
The gluten-free dishes are also excellent and varied.

01/03/2026: Five stars are not enough! One of the places that will remain most memorable from my holiday in Sappada. Stunning design and architecture, everything meticulously crafted. The owner's courtesy and kindness are unparalleled, and the quality and uniqueness of the dishes are truly Michelin-starred... one of a kind!

03/03/2026: We were at the campervan rest area and, after a nice snowshoe hike, we decided to go to a restaurant for lunch. On the maps, we saw the "Baita Piste Nera" (Black Piste Chalet) and decided to go there. The atmosphere was truly mountain hut-like, the waitresses were lovely and friendly, and above all, the food was delicious! All of this, in our opinion, was reasonably priced. Recommended. Four stars because to get there, you have to walk a short distance down the piste (hence the name) or climb a short icy slope.
17/02/2026: Every year is a guarantee!!! We'll be back next year (and this summer we'll send our parents as an unmissable stop).

18/10/2025: We are now regular customers. The pizza is very thin, light, with a minimal crust, and very digestible. The staff is always friendly and the place is beautiful.

28/02/2026: A small, cozy restaurant with a bar. The food is home-cooked and delicious. We ordered the Stinco di maiale e gulash. The meat was very well cooked and tender. The fondant dessert was also excellent. The only downside is the small portions.

18/02/2026: I reached it via the well-groomed forest road, taking an hour's walk uphill (steep). The walk was in the silence of the forest. Once I arrived, I didn't want to leave: the view was wonderful, the owner was friendly, the waitress was kind, and the menu was traditional and authentic. I ate excellent polenta and frigo. I descended via the path, which seemed much less steep. It's not very well-traveled, so crampons were fine for me because the snow was icy. I dream of staying overnight at Monte Ferro one day. Congratulations, and see you next year!
03/02/2026: The farmhouse is in a great location, and the view was enchanting.
The rooms are beautiful, warm, and equipped with every comfort.
The very kind and helpful staff, combined with excellent traditional cuisine, made our vacation a dream!

03/02/2026: The right choice! The property is beautiful and well-maintained, with impeccable bathroom cleanliness. The staff is incredibly helpful. The shuttle service is a huge plus. Silvia and Maxi are wonderful people. I absolutely recommend their property!
20/01/2026: Fantastic place. It's now a regular occurrence for us to stay in the Himalayan Suite, our favorite, all in wood with a large window and a mezzanine that my children adore. The staff is incredibly kind and makes you feel at home, almost like family. The food is superb, especially the cheese and chocolate fondues. The overall atmosphere here is magical and relaxing, allowing you to slow down, which is necessary for a peaceful vacation. I recommend it to everyone!!!!!!

22/09/2025: A spectacular refuge on the road to the Piave River Springs from Cima Sappada, easily accessible by car. Delicious traditional dishes; we ordered tagliatelle with venison ragù and tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, as a main course, along with the ever-present frico. Highly recommended.
18/09/2025: Worth a stop after a day of trekking in Val Sesis. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is lovely with outdoor seating. There's a running fountain next to the refuge.

05/02/2025: Seconda volta in questo ristorante dopo l'anno scorso e, come in precedenza, è stata un'ottima esperienza. Cibo buonissimo e personale cordiale e disponibile. Abbiamo preso diversi antipasti: insalatina di carciofi, dadolata di cervo e cotechino, tutti buonissimi e ben presentati. A seguire canederli in brodo, cuore di cervo, maiale cotto a bassa temperatura, cervo con il suo fondo e tagliata di Black Angus:davvero uno più squisito dell'altro...anche i dolci eccellenti e le grappe di loro produzione una vera chicca. Posto super consigliato

04/01/2025: Cena in occasione dello ski show che avviene accanto. Ottimi gnocchi col ragù di cervo, ottimi cappucci con le mele, e anche tutti gli altri piatti buoni. Bella atmosfera in un locale molto accogliente.
