30/07/2025: I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Minerva in Assisi. The hotel is charming, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food was excellent, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making me feel truly cared for. Its location is ideal—just steps away from the cathedral and within walking distance of most of Assisi’s historical sites. While the hilly terrain can be a bit challenging, the stunning views and timeless beauty of the city more than make up for it. A memorable experience in a magical place.

22/06/2025: Stayed last week on a 2 day trip to Assisi. While the location is prime, and the room was very comfortable- there was a woman at the front desk who was just beyond rude. We had an experience with her in the restaurant where she was also our waitress. She brought us out extremely dry and hard bread. We politely asked her if perhaps we could have a little bit of olive oil (or perhaps even our drinks brought out so we didn’t choke.) and her response was “no. Olive oil is for salad only.” Meanwhile, the table behind us with a local family of clearly Italian folks, had oil for their bread (that’s how we had the idea to ask!!) The next day, we went to a restaurant in Gubbio, and our waiter brought oil to the table without us asking, we asked him and our guide for the day if that was just for the salad. They both looked at us very confused. When we told them that this woman from the hotel and hotel restaurant denied us such a silly request- they had the same response “so sorry. That’s not true and we’ve never heard of that. She probably didn’t want to serve you.” Perhaps this seems ridiculous to some to complain about this, but the fact is that no one else wants to feel as though someone is being discriminatory and not fulfilling a request because of that kind of attitude. Not only this, she was at the front desk (glasses, brown hair, late 40s maybe 50s) and just couldn’t be bothered. God forbid we had a question. Like I said, great location, comfortable room but we won’t be back. Every hotel in Assisi is technically a great location and all very competitive for pricing.

19/08/2025: Yesterday I went with my family to this restaurant set on a mountain with a road that you could almost call dirt where there is not even a small house but all in all we ate well we had a tagliata with Colonnata lard paid 15 € each and some homemade chips. The tagliata was very good and also the chips but the chips were literally 10 and paid 5 € a rip-off. A very kind girl served us but the food arrived later than the other tables

21/07/2025: An experience to forget. The sign "Typical Dishes" was just misleading advertising for those of us who stopped for lunch at 1:30 PM on a road trip. In fact, one of us didn't even eat...they forgot to tell us the dish wasn't on the menu. Better to just stop at the bar.

09/08/2025: Excellent pizza and spaghetti carbonara. Fast and friendly service. Free parking nearby. Large pool with umbrella and lounge chair rentals.

29/07/2025: The pizza was delicious, and the poolside seating was nice. The first time I dined, however, I had to wait almost an hour, and there weren't many people. Everything was fine the second time.

02/07/2025: Ottimo ristorante posizionato all’uscita autostradale di Fabro. Cucina genuina curata e preparata buona materia prima. Ottima la carne. Il personale molto gentile e disponibile. Oltre ad essere comoda la posizione ha anche un ampio parcheggio fronte il locale ed un albergo nello stessa struttura, tutto questo molto comodo per chi viaggia.

18/06/2025: Ottimo ristorante posizionato strategicamente all’uscita autostradale di Fabro. Cucina genuina curata e preparata con ottima materia prima. I piatti a base di carne fanno da padrone nel menù ma anche i primi sono degni di nota. Dolci preparati in casa molto buoni. Personale gentilissimo e molto attento alle esigenze del cliente. Ampio posteggio di fronte il locale.

28/07/2025: Incredible, the best hot chocolate in Italy. Very pleasant and friendly manager. Extremely enjoyable moment. A truly great little place.

19/08/2025: The waitress got annoyed just because we asked if there was a table for 8 or two for 4. She started arguing and complaining to us, then she left and came back, continuing her argument with us, then she did the same... we left in disbelief; they probably bother the customers!

16/08/2025: I think the chef has changed because the difference from last year is visible and noticeable. It used to be a bar and restaurant, now it's a bar that also serves food. It's fine, but there are plenty of better options. It's a shame.

18/08/2025: Staff was really pleasent! Service and food were really good!

17/08/2025: Beautiful place and very nice people. The food was less than stellar and there seemed to be a shortage of staff, everything took quite a while.

10/06/2025: Restaurant/pizzeria that I have been frequenting for years and that I strictly recommend to anyone who asks me for advice on a restaurant where you can eat well and with friendly staff. The restaurant is family run and the owner is an excellent person from all points of view, friendly, polite, discreet... a polite person like few others today. Together with him, his sister and brother, unfortunately their beloved father is no longer with them... he was exceptional... I highly recommend it because it is a harmonious place and you can eat very well. TOP OF THE TOP.

17/05/2025: Siamo ritornati dopo un po' di tempo, come sempre una garanzia,pesce sempre fresco,antipasto di mare con parte fredda e sautè caldo di cozze e vongole squisito, tagliatelle all' astice e frittura di mare! Torniamo sempre con piacere 😊

01/06/2025: Ci siamo fermati per un aperitivo veloce che è diventato un pranzo!!! Le migliori polpette mai mangiate! Cacio e pepe,ragù e piselli ben equilibrate e fritte alla perfezione con panatura fragrante e non unta . Polpette di carne con salsa tonnata, morbide e perfettamente abbinate ai capperi fritti !!! Complimenti!!!

01/08/2025: The food was not the best to put it nicely, they had enough vegetarian options. But i would not take someone there who is a some what picky eater. The service was good, the server did not speak alot of english but everything went smoothly. We think the place was better before the earthquakes and that they might have lost money due to a lack of tourist

06/06/2025: Great environment to enjoy a nice meal. We sat outside on the terrace and had an incredibly fantastic view of the valley. The food was delicious and typically Umbrian. The service was great: a very friendly girl who also spoke perfect English. Highly recommended!

05/05/2025: Questo locale potrebbe trarre in inganno: dall'esterno sembra poco più di un bar, con pochi posti disponibili. In realtà offre la possibilità di gustare buoni piatti della tradizione umbra, accompagnati da ottimi vini. Il servizio è molto cortese, il menu non particolarmente ricco ma gustoso. Abbiamo condiviso un abbondante ed appetitoso tagliere "Saltatempo", poi, per secondo, una gustosa "porcaccia con patate" e una tagliata, il tutto accompagnato da un buon Montefalco rosso. Per finire un tiramisù Consigliato per un pranzo non molto impegnativo. Buono il rapporto qualità/prezzo

11/03/2025: Con un collega prima di un convegno ci siamo fermati a fare un pranzo veloce da Saltatempo. Io ho preso l antipasto vegetariano e lui la pizza umbra ripiena di verdure e formaggio, e poi ci siamo divisi un carciofo con pecorino e miele. Due calici di vino con 2 tozzetti al sagrantino a testa e 2 caffè: 60€! L'ho trovato leggermente caro.

24/05/2025: Maybe I got the night wrong, but unfortunately I can't give a good review, I was assigned a seat in front of the entrance not even a meter from the door, with a constant coming and going, the table was wedged between two other tables, we sat down and we couldn't move, we booked convinced we were going to a farmhouse, we found ourselves practically in a pizzeria, I mean that from a farmhouse I expect a menu with appetizers, first courses, second courses etc. etc. no pizza and sandwiches, among other things a very annoying noise, to speak I practically had to shout. Maybe I'm getting old?? Anyway if someone has the same culinary tastes as me and is looking for a bit of tranquility I don't recommend it. The pizza. ni. I forgot about the staff, which I found young, kind and fast.
