06/09/2025: The authentic cuisine of the valley

08/08/2025: Four of us dined at this restaurant with a fixed menu. All traditional Ladin dishes. Personally, I would end the dinner with a dessert other than the one they served (fritters with blueberry jam or apple puree), perhaps a sorbet or fresh gelato to finish the meal. The service was quick, and the lady who served us carefully explained each dish. Parking is exclusively for the restaurant. The Cancin with ricotta and spinach is highly recommended: you can season it with poppy seeds or parmesan cheese. The shank was delicious and almost melted in your mouth. Definitely a place worth trying!!!

28/09/2025: We waited over 30 minutes to get a seat because we didn't have a reservation. The grilled platter tasted good, but it wasn't nicely presented. The meat was haphazardly placed on the plate without any decoration. The pizza was well-topped and tasted good. It would be good if the pizza chef checked the pizza crust again. It was flattened and hard. At other restaurants, the crust is crispy and the center is soft. The service was very friendly and attentive. The overall noise level is quite high...

09/09/2025: We must have had a bad evening. The waitress was very abrupt, the seat in the back corner wasn't very comfortable, and it was very cold because the door to the outside area was open. The food was quite good, but my plate was taken away from me while my husband was still eating. Unfortunately, that didn't encourage us to eat there again.

07/10/2025: All good, except for the furnishings: the chairs in the living room are really out of place!

16/09/2025: Cozy hut; we stopped in for a quick bite at the end of our hike. The apple strudel is highly recommended! They're all dog-friendly, too. The only drawback: I love hot chocolate with milk: they serve it here, too, but only in a small coffee cup. I find the price a bit steep. But it was delicious. It was very quiet when we were there, but we were also late and it was off-season.

14/10/2025: “You're in Tuscany in just two steps!” Everything is high-quality, welcoming, and tidy, and mopping up the shoes is a must! Recommended.

08/09/2025: The new location also exudes the typical "Enzo spirit." A bit larger and airier, yet still tastefully cozy, you'll feel right at home. Excellent dishes and first-class wines, casual and relaxed in the morning, elegant and full of flair in the evening. Even without the arcades, this is a must-visit in the region. Thanks for being there!

08/09/2025: I went to this place during aperitivo time before lunch with my girlfriend and family, drawn by the location and the fact that there were several people sitting at the tables. I always try to avoid writing bad reviews, but in this case it would be wrong not to. I'll start by saying that I'm a regular at Michelin-starred restaurants (this one isn't, but it's in the guide nonetheless), so I'll sum up my experience with this: it's not quite there. Absolutely outrageous prices, a pointless €4 cover charge per person for a glass of wine each and a charcuterie board (a normal plate of speck and average salami, no mortadella) and an embarrassing cheese board (literally a small plate with five microscopic pieces of cheese and a sort of compote of some fruit in the center), both for €20 a plate. So, first of all, if you want to offer service like a busy restaurant/cafe, you do it in every way; either you succeed or you don't. Uncooked bread included in the price (I don't think I've ever experienced this in an osteria, much less in a Michelin-starred restaurant) was not even noticed by the owner, and we had to point it out to him. Small sharing plates of cheese and cured meats were only made upon request, and no explanation was given about the cheeses we were tasting (you're charging me 20 euros for them? Explain to me what I'm eating; that seems like the basis of fine dining). Unfriendly service and outrageous prices; Michelin should review its standards. Recommended only if you want to be needlessly ripped off. Avoid.

21/06/2025: Siempre un gran lugar para parar para tomar una copa, comida y para sentarse y admirar las impresionantes vistas. Siempre me siento bienvenido aquí y he parado aquí muchas veces en las 5 veces que hemos estado en Ortisei.

02/03/2025: Ich bin während dem Skifahren hier spontan eingekehrt. Ehrlich gesagt nur aufgrund der Namensgleicheit. Ich dachte, mit dem namen, kanns ja nur gut sein. So war es auch. Ich wurde freundlich begrüßt und platziert. Der Service war schnell, und aufmerksam. Zwischendurch dauertes es mal etwas länger, aber die Terrasse war voll, von daher ok. Die Speisen waren gut und reichlich. Ich denke, da gibt es nichts zu meckern. An die Meckererin den anderen Bewertungen bzgl. der hohen Preise. Leider ist es nicht nur hier sehr teuer geworden und sondern leider überall. Jagertee für 6 Euro, Cheeseburger für 24 habe ich woanders zahlen müssen. Das ist heute leider der Standard. Das liegt nicht an den Wirten, sondern an den exorbitanten Preissteigerungen bei Energie, Personal und Rohstoffe. Was im Supermarkt teurer wird, ist natürlich auch für den Wirt teurer. OK, nach dem Schwenk wieder zurück: Die Daniel Hütte ist wärmstens zu empfehlen. Den fantastischen Blick auf Lang- und Plattkofel gibt es übrigens gratis dazu.

18/10/2025: Breakfast was good, breakfast staff very friendly, room service spotlessly clean. The sauna area and showers are average, at a 3-star level. Unfortunately, you get the feeling that as a guest with a voucher, you're treated more like a second-class guest. It's a shame. Definitely better if you book directly. We still have a voucher. We'll check it out later if you book directly. And maybe the sauna area will be even better then. Be sure to look for rooms facing east.

30/08/2025: Even though I don't drink wine myself, as I often travel by car and don't know much about wine, I like to stop here for a coffee or a juice. The atmosphere is very relaxed and pleasant. I would especially like to mention the great waiter and the chef, who is very communicative and relaxed. You immediately feel welcome. Highly recommended! ☕🍹

20/04/2025: Capitati per caso per il pranzo di Pasqua con una coppia di amici. Locale semplice. Abbiamo scelto il menù a sorpresa da tre portate. Che dire tutto al top! Qualità, cortesia, ricercatezza negli ingredienti e piatti decorati con estrema cura. Tutto buonissimo da leccarsi i baffi!! Ristorante da ricordare. Complimenti al proprietario!

26/08/2025: Perfect for a quick lunch, but it's a shame there's no seating at the tables, not even inside. They say they had to remove them, but they haven't given up on the plastic straws and cups, which are an insult to the environment.

12/10/2025: The pizza wasn't to my liking, the raw ham was cut thickly and was practically inedible. The place was nice.

25/08/2025: This restaurant is located in Folgaria's pedestrian area. The decor is very simple. The pizzas are well-topped, but the dough is really heavy and lacks proper leavening. The staff is friendly and helpful. For what I ate and the type of restaurant, I found the prices high (you can't charge €8.20 for a Margherita).

05/10/2025: Clean hotel and parking available. Self-check-in is mandatory, and then they text me at 7:21 PM that I have to be at the hotel by 8:30 PM for payment... and I have to rush to the hotel, sacrificing my evening (I'm attaching a photo of the conversation). I've never received worse treatment in the hundreds of hotels I've stayed at. Arriving in Italy, after a series of hotels without a bidet, I wanted this Italian convenience, but the bathroom was missing. A pillow was never found, and was so low that I've almost never found it. In short, it needs reconsidering; for €155, I expected more. Rating: seriously inadequate. P.S. After their response, I don't think they could have found solutions even by talking, because there are underlying issues that cannot be resolved.

15/09/2025: €94 for a night in a windowless room, and the owner is a pain in the ass if you buy a takeaway sandwich for breakfast. If I ever pass through Vipiteno again, I definitely won't be back.
