30/08/2025: Spurred by the many positive reviews, we visited this place during our vacation in San Martino. I'm sorry, but I didn't quite get what I'd read. Sure, the location is beautiful, but the place itself...the exterior is a good place, even though it's located in the church square. But inside, I'd say it could use a good refresh. The wines by the glass aren't very numerous (for a wine bar), and they're not very high quality (I've found better), and the prices, in my opinion, were too high. We ordered a mixed platter, which was actually not bad, but lacked variety and the price was the same as other places offering half the price. The owner is definitely knowledgeable and helpful, the only positive. There are definitely better options.

25/10/2025: The trattoria is located in a small village, in the center, near the church. The innkeeper and his sister are both very nice and kind, with a well-chosen sense of humor. The atmosphere is typical of an old trattoria, perhaps in need of a bit of a makeover, but still charming in its own way. The food is plentiful and tasty. I highly recommend it.

13/12/2025: I was at the Friedrich August Refuge yesterday (12/12/25) and can say without hesitation that it is one of the most evocative refuges in the Dolomites. Located at over 2,200 meters, between Col Rodella and Passo Sella. We went for lunch after a beautiful morning of skiing. The service initially left us a bit perplexed due to the wait, but given the crowds, I think that's normal. The wait was more than compensated by the excellent food. We were served by Antonello, a very kind young man who was always available to satisfy the customer's needs. I will definitely be back.

08/12/2025: The most evocative refuge in the Dolomites. We reached the refuge via the trail from Passo Sella, about a half-hour walk; it's a bit of a climb, but it's absolutely easy to walk. We were lucky to find it covered in snow on a late September day, which made the experience even more exciting. The staff is very kind and helpful, starting with the information I requested by email. They served us promptly and let us stay at the table to enjoy the beautiful view through the windows, fortunately on a quiet morning in the low season. We enjoyed a snack at the table, featuring the iconic Krapfen—which, for us, coming from Rome, will forever be the "bombs." It's essential to mention the luxury and cleanliness of the restrooms, among the most beautiful I've ever seen. They also sell elegant clothing as souvenirs. The presence of the dog on the refuge's roof, keeping a friendly watch over all the tourists, is both bizarre and extraordinary. Highly recommended experience.

06/12/2025: Excellent restaurant not far from the center of Trento. Excellent food, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very generous portions, for an exceptional value! Modern, well-designed, and refined furnishings. Suitable for romantic dates and groups.

08/10/2025: The food was nice, not great, the prices are a bit high, especially of the drinks and desserts, and the view is great, so all in all 4 stars. The location of this restaurant is great! It is inside a beautiful garden of a hotel, with a small lake nearby. We had the lasagna which was great and the pasta with cherry tomatoes and burrata cheese which was good, but very simple. Our child had the schnitzel with chips and the schnitzel was so thin there was barely any chicken in it, which made it hard to eat for a toddler. The tiramisu was also good, a bit heavy. The service was a bit slow, as the restaurant was full. It took us about 10 mins to get the check.

02/10/2025: Absolutely terrible! The Aperol tasted like a cheap alternative and was barely drinkable. The beer served was only half-stale Bavarian beer. The carbonara, a must-try Italian dish, was a complete disaster! Far too much egg, so the pasta was drenched in a disgustingly thick mush! Almost inedible. The pizza was okay, but had nothing to do with authentic Italian. The service preferred to joke around with each other rather than attend to hungry guests. It was sour and the worst food ever.

21/10/2025: We stayed here as the first stop on our honeymoon and it was truly magical. Since we went in October, the town and hotel too was very quiet, as it's in between the summer and winter seasons. The food was fantastic - the half board option is well worth it. It is only about a 10 minute drive from Ortisei and the Alpe di Suisi gondola. There are also a ton of daily activities offered by the hotel. The spa was fantastic as well, and the prices were far better than what we were used to in the US. Only thing was that it books up quite quickly, so be sure to reserve ahead of time. The pool, saunas and gym were also a highlight. Overall, the staff were absolutely incredible and so welcoming. HIGHLY recommend staying here - we will be back!!

07/10/2025: We stopped here on our bike tour. The food was delicious and lovingly prepared. They served great homemade herbal lemonades. We sat there for a long time; the atmosphere was very pleasant and the owners were very friendly.

07/10/2025: It's fantastic up there. Also for the season finale in October! Ideal for families, people with disabilities, singles, and groups. Fantastic food, delicious home-cooked meals! The view to Planeil/Planoil and down the valley towards Watles.

11/10/2025: Location is great, exacyly on the river. You can hear the water run while sitting on the terrace. Really good ice with natural flavors. Good coffee from Julius Meinl. Very good regional pastries, like Buckweat pie. Very friendly staff, ready to explain everything. Moderate prices.

10/10/2025: A beautiful and relaxing café and bar, with delicious coffee. It is located on the Isaac River. The employee, Gerta, has a wonderful personality and serves you with her eyes. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

02/12/2025: We ate dinner at Soulfood two nights in a row. The unusual pizza creations and daily specials made us want to try everything. It was all delicious. The vitello tonnato and tagliatelle with veal ragù and truffle are highly recommended. The vegan pizza with broccoli cream, olives, broccoli, and vegan mayonnaise was a nice change from just various vegetables on tomato sauce. We'll definitely be back.

16/11/2025: A convenient, modern restaurant with a menu with many fresh options and daily specials - perfect for the families at the adjoining campground or Merano tourists looking for something special outside of the touristy areas. The pizza was great - in Italy you cannot survive without decent pizza; my pasta dish with buffalo mozz was amazing, hitting the spot (but the portion could have been a bit larger for the price).
