06/03/2026: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Col Alto. The location is fantastic, and the buses to get you to/from the ski lifts were quick and efficient. The pool and saunas were clean, and perfect relaxing environments after a long day of skiing. We especially loved the breakfast buffet, complete with a ton of gluten free options. The rooms are a little dated, but that's so easy to look past with all of the other great things this hotel has to offer. We would no doubt stay here again. The ski rental shop next door gives you a great discount if you mention you are staying at Hotel Col Alto as well!

05/03/2026: We have been regular guests for 10 years and appreciate the hotel for its location and amenities. The Alpine lodge style is beautifully executed, and we feel very comfortable in the hotel's atmosphere. The bar is very inviting, and the restaurant is also nicely furnished and has plenty of natural light, which we appreciate at breakfast. The breakfast buffet is first-class; it fully met our expectations, with everything fresh and attractively presented. The service in the bar was very attentive, but unfortunately, the service in the restaurant wasn't as good as in previous years. We missed having expert wine advice; we would have liked more assistance with our selection and would have ordered more. The spa area is scheduled for renovation this year, and we are curious to see what it will look like next season. The morning shuttle to the ski lift ran smoothly without long waits, and in the late afternoon, we were able to ski right back to the hotel from Col Alto. There is a ski service right next to the hotel where skis can be dropped off in the afternoon and picked up the following morning from 8:30 a.m. onwards. All in all, we enjoyed the hotel very much and will be back next year.

01/03/2026: A welcoming and charming place, it offers typical Trentino dishes, but with some ups and downs. My wife had an off-menu soup with toasted bread and enjoyed it, while I, unfortunately, ordered a tagliata with mushrooms. The tagliata was very small (a shame) and tough, and the mushrooms seemed freshly defrosted, watery, and flavorless. The burger and potato dishes were definitely more filling. Next time we're in Folgaria, we'll go for pizza.

01/03/2026: A truly welcoming place with friendly staff and a good selection of dishes. The menu is typical of the area; I enjoyed the platter.

29/12/2025: A place in the sun!!! At this time of year, not many beer gardens or restaurants with outdoor seating are open. We had gorgeous weather and just wanted to enjoy the sun with a drink. We stumbled upon this place by chance. It couldn't be more Italian. Self-service, practical, friendly, and simple. The location is definitely the biggest draw. In winter, you can get a spot in the sun until 4:00 or 4:15 pm. There's an outdoor play area for small children with all sorts of fun toys. Chickens and geese roam around, too. No frills, but they've got their heart in the right place. We loved it just the way it is!

07/10/2025: It's fantastic up there. Also for the season finale in October! Ideal for families, people with disabilities, singles, and groups. Fantastic food, delicious home-cooked meals! The view to Planeil/Planoil and down the valley towards Watles.

07/10/2025: We stopped here on our bike tour. The food was delicious and lovingly prepared. They served great homemade herbal lemonades. We sat there for a long time; the atmosphere was very pleasant and the owners were very friendly.

13/01/2026: We stayed one night in this hotel, the room was spotless and smelled great, as did the bathroom, and the breakfast was delicious. The girls who run it are kind and attentive, we will definitely return. Thank you for everything!

30/12/2025: I went to a restaurant, the pizza was very good and the dough was light: my pizza with salted meat was very rich, while the one with vegetables and shrimp had literally only two shrimps.

23/10/2025: Very tasty, even with a vegan selection! The pizzas are excellent, and I also recommend the "Vegan Smash" (burger with fries). Good value for money, and the service too! We were there two days in a row and would love to come back next time we're in the area!

27/02/2026: One of the best pizzas I've ever had. The dough is light and soft on the inside, with perfect leavening that makes the pizza highly digestible. They use the freshest ingredients: intensely flavorful tomatoes and consistently high-quality toppings. Every bite is balanced and rich in flavor.

04/02/2026: Both the pizza and coffee were delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. We were in Trento for a visit, but we were so happy to find this pizzeria! Highly recommended!

04/01/2026: A truly enchanting place! Just a few hundred meters from the center of Merano, along the Tappeiner Promenade that runs from Tirolo to Merano, it's full of breathtaking views! A very welcoming mountain-style restaurant, with wood everywhere and a fairly traditional and varied menu. The three types of bread that are brought to the table immediately indicate that they're off to a great start. Their own wine (we drank a very good Lagrain) and other interesting labels confirm that they're from Alto Adige! We enjoyed tomato bruschetta, beef tartare, venison goulash, and a tart with a chocolate heart. Everything was delicious, even though the bruschetta and goulash were a bit too salty. Excellent service, and the wait staff were numerous, attentive, pleasant, and punctual! The service was very attentive. A truly beautiful place!

30/12/2025: We had lunch with a selection of homemade tortei and other dishes. Everything was delicious, and the service was excellent. The price was fair, even compared to other restaurants that offer "bought" potato tortes, not homemade ones.

21/02/2026: It’s the place to be. Fantastic view, delicious food, high-quality wine and cocktails . Very comfortable stay for ski-vacation with one-step access to the ski-school and ski-lift, well-organized spa.But what made our vacation even more memorable and cozy , it’s a great team of people who works there. 30/01/2026: A hotel that ticks all the boxes. We booked here with little planning or research and providentially it is a star in the firmament of hotels worldwide. I had many queries before arriving and every one was answered quickly and politely. This made planning a lot easier and less stressful. The Montlux room was an absolute delight. Open plan, cosy, spotless, luxurious, well appointed. I’d asked if there was a kettle in the room as we love to make tea, and was told sadly there was not but that I could get hot water in the car 24/7. On arrival we had been given a kettle, two mugs and a selection of teas and infusions on a lovely tray in our room. A kind and thoughtful gesture. The public areas are superb. Again kept spotlessly clean, cosy and inviting. The range of drinks and wines is astonishing and unusual. The Forst cero the best 0% beer I’ve ever tasted and a local brewery to boot. Although it’s billed as 3/4 board it’s effectively full. Breakfast runs from 07:30 to 11:15 so there’s plenty of time to rise, wash, eat, get first lift at 08:30, ski, pop back for a snack, ski again and come in at 15:30 for cake, cold meats, salad, soup and bread before the five course dinner at 19:15. You won’t need to buy any food on the mountain. All the food is of an immensely high standard. We did not eat or taste one thing that was other than sublime all week. The ski rental is in the hotel. Slick, professional, helpful and very well priced. The spa offers a range of therapies and we had one each day. The masseuse was lovely, skilled and professional. A delight to talk to and be treated by. The Indoor/outdoor pool area with sauna, steam and IR room are fantastic and really relaxing. Kept clean and tidy, with a soft fruit and tea infusion station. Perhaps most importantly are the staff. Every single person there was charming, helpful, approachable, multi lingual, and welcoming. They make this less the luxury hotel it quite clearly is, and more the luxurious home of a very good friend that you’ve been invited to stay with for a while. The skiing is great. The slopes directly outside the boot room, the ticket office and ski school right there as well. No queues on the lifts, slopes beautifully managed and quiet. The walks around the hotel are also plentiful and easy to access with stunning Mountain views. We found this hotel after a very cursory online search and were blessed to do so. It’s somewhere I would want to come back to many times and in all seasons. A hidden gem.

06/03/2026: We stumbled upon this pizzeria-restaurant quite by chance while traveling in our campervan. A particularly convenient feature: there's even a small parking area for campervans right next to the restaurant. Since it's located directly on the road, it's perfect for a spontaneous stop while passing through. Even upon entering, the decor with its many plants immediately catches the eye. Everything has a slightly older feel, but that's precisely what creates an incredibly cozy atmosphere – almost like eating at your grandmother's house. You immediately feel at ease. We'd especially like to commend the owner. She gave us a very warm welcome and was present throughout our visit. You can immediately tell that genuine personal contact with the guests is still valued here – something that's sadly rare these days. Her warm personality truly made the visit special. The pizza was excellent, with a dough that was half whole wheat and half classic – absolutely delicious. Everything you could wish for was provided at the table: balsamic vinegar, chili oil, olive oil, salt, pepper, and even really good oregano. The pizzas arrived quickly, and overall it was a very pleasant stop. If you're passing through and want to enjoy a good pizza in a cozy, family-run atmosphere, this is the place for you. Highly recommended!

15/02/2026: Excellent and very digestible pizzas. We also went for lunch; both the char and the beef tagliata were excellent, with a side of grilled vegetables and baked potatoes included in the price of the main course. The desserts are exquisite and homemade, and even the gelato is homemade. We had the amaretti semifreddo and the vanilla gelato with warm raspberries, both excellent. The prices are incredible for the quality of the food. Friendly staff. Fast service. Highly recommended.

24/01/2026: 3 days in a great location, very close to the slopes! Clean and large rooms. There are 5 of us, so they're usually cramped. However, the rooms are comfortable, with two TVs. The kids had their own room with a TV. The pool is clean and warm. The adults' area is beautiful and relaxing! Everything is clean! Very kind and attentive staff! Excellent breakfast and dinner, with special attention to the kids' menus! Kudos to the family. It shows when they work with love!
