Beautifully situated cabin, good food and a very warm, helpful family – highly recommended! We arrived very late with our bikes and were still very well looked after.

No connection/ internet service up there! Felt uneasy at first but you would later find it quite just fine! Saw lots of marmots and the hosts were also super nice! Definitely recommended!

We returned to Porro after about 20 years. The walk is beautiful and tiring, but once we arrive, the satisfaction of the view is equaled by the courtesy of the refuge managers. An excellent lunch with special dumplings. The right people in a fantastic place.

When you arrive after a couple of hours of walking, you'll be hungry. They serve you quickly and with a smile. Generous and tasty portions. Classic Tyrolean dishes, with fresh ingredients delivered by cable car. The splendid view and the kindness of the owners invite you to return and even stay the night.

Finally, a true, old-fashioned refuge, where you're greeted with a smile, not with indifference. Thanks to the manager, who is knowledgeable and very helpful with directions.

After a lovely walk through woods and meadows with grazing cows, you arrive at the Porro refuge, where you're greeted by the friendly manager and his staff. Delicious, plentiful food. Quick service. The strudel is a dream. We'll be back.
