08/04/2026: We discovered La Bottega dei Golosi and it was a delightful surprise! We tasted a truly delicious Vino Nobile, accompanied by excellent appetizers. The place is delightful, well-kept, and has a very welcoming atmosphere. The owner was incredibly kind and friendly, making us feel right at home and also offering us valuable tips on what to see in Montepulciano.
The wine selection is truly extensive and interesting, perfect for those who love discovering local flavors.

01/04/2026: We stumbled upon this place by chance, having searched for it online during a trip, and found ourselves in this little oasis of peace surrounded by nature a few kilometers off the highway. It presents itself as a simple trattoria, but we immediately knew we'd be satisfied, given that the number of cars there for a midweek lunch indicated it was well-known in the area.
C: We started to select the dishes, even though everything was delicious! Typical local cuisine with some meat dishes and a wide assortment of lake fish. I tried a salmon trout tartare, which was amazing: I'd never tasted anything like it! The truffle crostoni, the fresh pasta picci with lake ragù, and the grilled fish were also delicious. We enjoyed it so much that on the return trip, we changed our plans to be able to return.
U: Even though I'm not particularly fond of lake fish, these dishes won me over. Everything was delicious, traditional cuisine combined with innovation, with some unusual combinations. Just a little too much salt in some dishes (e.g., the tomato gnocchi) for my taste, but everything was very good! Recommended!

31/07/2025: The view is lovely, the place though is crowded and loud. Sadly it took forever till we could order and till our coffee arrived. Getting a slice of cake was near impossible because the staff seemed overwhelmed, so we left without dessert.
30/07/2025: Fantastically beautiful location, delicious food, one of the staff was a bit less friendly and the order was wrong, but we didn't charge extra. A great experience 👍

Inside, there are the usual amenities you'd find at a service station and lots of stairs. If you go down the stairs, you can pee, while if you go up the stairs, you can take a long walk to the other side of the highway.

27/01/2026: I would have preferred to spend much more and eat much better (my plate was almost intact when it was brought back because the meat was not at all fresh) furthermore our table was in the worst place, 2 meters from the kitchen which most likely does not have an efficient extraction system, in fact our clothes smelled of fried food.

12/12/2025: Whenever we head south from Piedmont, we like to split the A1 motorway journey into two legs, and now our choice for a stopover is always the Hotel Tre Stelle in Sant'Albino di Montepulciano.
The location is truly strategic, just a short distance from the Chianciano Terme exit, making arrival quick and easy, even after hours of driving.
But it's not just the convenience that wins us over: the hotel offers impeccable service. The rooms are always spotless, tidy, and welcoming; the staff stands out for their professionalism and kindness, making us feel like regular and welcome guests every time. The breakfast is also excellent: generous and carefully prepared, perfect for a fresh start.
For these very reasons, on our next trip to Campania, we've already decided to stay at the Tre Stelle for two nights, both on the outward and return journeys. It's become a true reference point for us: a pleasant and rejuvenating break in the heart of Tuscany. Highly recommended!
26/10/2025: I really liked this place, except for my last stay. I slept with my wife and grandchildren in room 102 on Saturday, October 11th. The disco-style bar was very noisy. Furthermore, since I couldn't find parking, I had the unpleasant surprise of asking the bartender for information. He was very rude, with an unkind tone, almost like someone who had overindulged in alcohol. A nasty person, in front of everyone, a scandal.

The workers' menu €15 was excellent, both in terms of quality and portion size! I'd be curious to try the à la carte menu, but if it's as good as the workers' menu, it's definitely even better, you can't go wrong! A very positive experience!!! Recommended

09/03/2026: We ate here because it was convenient and right across from where we were staying and we were very pleasantly surprised since some of the reviews are not good. The pizza was delicious. (It definitely wasn't frozen like some of the other reviews say. We could see her making it.) The salad was a tasty work of art, house wine was excellent , and the woman serving us was very friendly. She was the only one there so we did have to wait a little bit but it wasn't too long and we had a delicious carafe of wine to enjoy while we were waiting.
16/02/2026: We took the platter for two people, the cured meats seemed frozen and full of fat, almost inedible.
