Sax Wine Bar In Montepulciano

After a long wander around Montepulciano we found this cute bar. I ate quality typical Tuscan products and the service was excellent

Fermati per caso, per mangiare qualcosa alla 4a telefonata e ristorante pieno a pranzo di Sabato. La signora simpatica e a mille per via di un problema a casa che ci ha in qualche modo raccontato. Abbiamo ordinato due antipasti.. una RUGOLA E BRESAOLA con Scaglie di Parmigiano olio e limone ed un GHIOTTO, mai arrivato. Il piatto di bresaola era MANCATE di rugola sostituito con dell’insalata in busta che nn ci azzeccava nulla e zero Parmigiano ma VABBÈ. IL GHIOTTO nada! Arrivano le zuppe… hna di orzo e farto e una Ribollita. Orzo e farro un po’ scotta , l’altra buona. Facciamo notare che il GHIOTTO nn fosse arrivato al momento delle zuppe, e la signora dice che lo stanno preparando, ma siccome mi aveva incuriosito ho detto ok.. nonostante il tanto pane mangiato con la zuppa. AD UN CERTO MOMENTO ARRIVA il GHIOTTO che peró nn era quello che avevamo chiesto, la signora si scusa per via della sua agitazione e lo porta via. Un bar al volo ma insomma non un esperienza da raccontare. Grazie comunque per l’ospitalità 🫶🏻

Great food, what fantastic pasta with truffles I had here! Amazing quality and good price, nice atmosphere and perfect location. Good wine and home made desert. I can only recommend this place , also for vegetarian dishes.

We had a great time, Excellent cuisine (especially the pappardelle with wild boar) I highly recommend it ✌️

The bar is great, really old school, we went in super low season and it was the unique place open with personality. We stopped by in the evening after the sunset and it was great. We drank beers got free tapas and also we asked a mixture of local products as cheese, prosciutto... simply great. We enjoyed a lot of time in the bar. Montepulciano needs more places as the SaxWineBar in low-season!!

Very characteristic small place, top breakfast, the bartender gave 4 pancakes to my daughter making her very happy. Highly recommended

We stoped by the sax wine bar for cappuccinos one morning and decided to split a slice of pizza which turned into two pieces of pizza . So darn tasty wow! And it was cold !!! Stopped in again last night for a bite to eat and we were very impressed. I had a bowl of pipping hot bean soup that was amazing ! My husband had lasagne and we shared a mista salad. So tasty! And the bread - just go !!!
