01/03/2026: We arrived at Benzina on a Sunday at 1:30 PM without a reservation, a group of 16 people coming off a game. Benzina welcomed us warmly, and the food was top-notch. Authentic Mugello cuisine at reasonable prices. We'll definitely be back, perhaps booking in advance.

27/02/2026: FABULOUS ITALIAN LUNCH ! This was our first visit to Europe and at this point we were about half way through our 2 week vacation in beautiful Italy. Our private limo driver Martin ( arranged by our travel agent ) picked us up at the Hotel Berchielli in Florence at 9am in the morning for the 110 km drive to our Airbnb apartment in Bologna....home for the next 3 days. Martin who is a dead ringer for the ultra famous John Belushi ( also from Albania ) made the scenic drive through the tranquil Italian countryside totally enjoyable for us. BEAUTIFUL SCENERY ! In fact what should have been a 2 hour plus drive turned into over 4 hours with our unscheduled diversions. Along the way we stopped at a fashion outlet mall and an electronics store inside a huge shopping mall to buy a few things we needed. LUNCH ! Martin said he would take us to one of his fav restaurants for delicious sandwiches. AND HE DID ! One of the things we were hoping to experience during our Italian vacation was lunch at some place off the tourist map. AND THIS WAS IT ! This restaurant was in the middle of nowhere to us but very familiar to Martin who lived in Florence. There was a huge selection of delicious looking panino ( flatbread ) sandwiches, full wine racks along the walls, a pizza restaurant upstairs ( evenings only ) and a virtual Italian supermarket. We all ordered PANINO SANDWICHES with different fillings. My wife also ordered an ESPRESSO and a slice of CHOCOLATE CAKE. I grabbed a bottle of ITALIAN PALE ALE from a fridge. VERY NICE ! The guy behind the counter opened it and gave me a chilled stem glass as I requested. Our fresh made fully loaded panino sandwiches tasted outstanding....as good as it gets ! My ice cold fruity Pale Ale tasted very refreshing. Meanwhile the restaurant was getting busier by the minute...no doubt a very popular local lunch spot. DESSERT ! My wife totally enjoyed her rich tasting Chocolate Cake slice. Martin and I loved our decadent CHOCOLATE & PISTACHIO CORNETTOS. In fact Martin paid for them. My wife bought half a slab of fresh made panino flatread to take with us....and it still made a delicious sandwich a day or two later. WE TOTALLY LOVED OUR ITALIAN LUNCH !

25/01/2026: Cute little place. Delicious food. We had the ficattola with prosciutto and burrata. Delicious. Two generous first courses. The pappardelle with wild boar were delicious and very well seasoned, and the tagliolini with truffle were fantastic. Friendly staff.

01/03/2026: Although we didn't have a reservation and the place was packed, we got a table without waiting. We were served quickly and had our food in less than 10 minutes. The pizza was fantastic. Light, crispy, and fresh. Simply perfect. The staff were quick and friendly. The prices were very reasonable. The many dishes that were carried past our table all looked delicious. Everything here must be great. We'll definitely be back. Thanks for the lovely evening.

16/03/2026: It's a real pleasure to go to this excellent restaurant. The tortelli, gnudi, and stuffed rabbit are special. Go there, but remember that the place is small, so you need to book well in advance.

05/03/2026: Discovered by chance on the way back from a trip, best decision of my life. Both the tortelli and the Florentine steak were amazing. Highly recommend!!!

15/03/2026: A warm welcome and a delightful atmosphere that made you feel right at home. The Pici cacio e pepe were spectacular, as were the ravioli mugellani, truly delicious and prepared with great care. Not to mention the homemade desserts, simply exquisite, and the excellent coffee served in a moka pot, a detail that harks back to true tradition. A cuisine that perfectly blends tradition and innovation, with authentic, high-quality dishes. A truly appreciated note: my dog ​​was welcomed with great kindness, which we found delightful. An excellent experience in every way. We will definitely be back!

09/11/2025: We spent a weekend in Barberino yesterday after reading a lot of positive reviews, and we can only confirm them! A typical restaurant with local products. We had a delicious Florentine steak accompanied by salad, tomatoes, and delicious buttered spinach!!! The hostess is incredibly kind, she makes you feel right at home!! The cantucci biscuits are also excellent!! We'll be back!

02/11/2025: Exactly what we expected. Intimate atmosphere, small menu, welcoming and helpful staff, and fabulous heifer steak. All at reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

28/01/2026: We go often and are always satisfied. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is comfortable and warm. The food is always good quality and plentiful. The appetizer of raw ham, stracchino cheese, and fried gnocco was for two people but split between four because it was still too much. Four plates of melted cheese, mushrooms, polenta, and soppressa...very good and plentiful. The homemade desserts are also good. Wine, water, and coffee are all reasonably priced. The only downside is the presence of children with uncivilized and rude parents.

04/09/2025: We stayed 5 nights. What can I say? Excellent hospitality, super cleanliness, and a fantastic breakfast with freshly baked cakes. Ideal location for a totally relaxing holiday surrounded by nature. Highly recommended.
