16/02/2026: On Valentine's Day, we went to Giovanni's for lunch: we ordered mixed antipasti a la carte and a first course each. The appetizers were mediocre, nothing exceptional; we were disappointed. Although the fried food was golden and crispy, the calamari was rubbery. The eggplant caponata was good, which I hadn't expected in a seafood appetizer. Marinated and smoked anchovies from store-bought bags... but let's move on to the first courses: pasta with clams was completely dry, seemingly oily. The pasta with sea urchins was slightly better. We also ordered risottos: good flavor, but not at all creamy. The sauce was loose. Both the pasta and the rice were cooked perfectly. Dessert: excellent lemon sorbet, I don't know if it was homemade. Tart with cream: delicious cream, raw pastry, still moist on the inside, which, obviously, wasn't crunchy in the mouth but too creamy. The staff was very kind and helpful, and the atmosphere was nice and clean.

The dishes are prepared with great care and are truly top-notch in terms of flavor. The atmosphere is also very pleasant and inviting. 05/04/2026: Reserved for lunch on Easter Sunday. And that was necessary because it was very busy! This is truly an Italian family moment. The Pasqua Menu was good and well-presented; the sauce with the pasta was finger-licking good, and gluten-free was arranged quickly. Highly recommended! The waiter's admonishing look when the generous portion wasn't finished was just part of the fun.

14/02/2026: On our road trip through Sicily we spent a day in Palermo and wanted an authentic dinner spot in the evening. We found La Staffa and it was honestly perfekt. We came in a great season with good weather, warm but not too hot like peak summer, and the city wasnt overloaded with tourists (even if we are tourists too). La Staffa feels like a real family restaurant. The food was super tasty and the team was very friendly. They chatted with us a bit but also gave us space to enjoy our dinner, which I really liked. The chef has worked abroad before and now is back home, you can feel the passion. And the limoncello... wow, really a dream. I would come back for sure.

07/02/2026: We arrived at our hotel quite late at night and were worried we wouldn’t find anywhere to eat. Luckily, this lovely restaurant nearby stayed open for us until almost 1 a.m. 🌙 and even prepared special pizzas for takeaway 🍕✨ We were so touched by their kindness and willingness to accommodate us so late in the evening. The staff were incredibly friendly, patient, and genuinely welcoming 💛 Their positive energy and warmth immediately made us feel comfortable and cared for. The pizzas were absolutely incredible — truly some of the best we’ve ever had 🤩👌 We were so impressed that we later came back to dine at the restaurant, and once again everything was perfect. The food, the atmosphere, and especially the service were outstanding 🌟 No one has ever taken such good care of us before. They truly made our trip to Sicily unforgettable 🇮🇹❤️ We are so grateful for their warmth and hospitality — it was one of the best restaurant experiences we’ve ever had. Thank you so much for making our trip so special! 🙏✨

People come here for a good glass of wine—the selection is always carefully curated and never boring—but also to enjoy excellent beers and cocktails crafted with passion. The atmosphere is welcoming, almost family-like, thanks to special people who put their heart and soul into their work. I've known them for years and can say that it's not just a place for good drinks, but a place where you feel good. It's always a pleasure to return! 🍷✨

06/04/2026: Excellent appetizers Pasta without salt and extremely slow service We sat down at 1:00 PM. The appetizers arrived, the pasta dishes at 3:00 PM, the meat dishes at 5:00 PM, and the desserts at 6:00 PM. If you can't handle all these people and can't satisfy them with such long wait times, limit your reservations! Never again.

16/03/2026: The food was decent, the only thing left was the smell of the fish. The space was very cramped. The staff was rude, impolite, and not at all welcoming. There are so many better places.

30/12/2025: Highly recommended place, I will definitely go back, everything looks good, pizzas, schiacciata and sandwiches with kebab, the only flaw is that the potatoes were not freshly made, I had a fantastic schiacciata with kebab, plus they took great care of the food considering my dietary issues with dairy products, doing everything with care.

09/10/2025: A normal, enjoyable place. The locals call it "Da Mimmo." It has a lovely outdoor terrace, perfect for the warmer months. Its specialty? Its taralli, imported directly from Puglia: fennel and raisins. Outstanding.

18/04/2026: Good hotel. Very good location. Rooms relatively clean. No table in the bathroom. Air conditioning not working. The restaurant was very noisy and the food was subpar.

13/04/2026: Friendly staff and a handful of delicious pasta dishes that changes on a regular/daily basis. Service was really slow, we waited about 40 minutes for three of their basics at a time where only one other table was occupied .The cacio e pepe was a dream, the Norma and Carbonara a bit on the salty side but all the pastas where cooked perfectly. If you're patient enough it's definitely a recommendation.
