Scolapasta In Palermo

I had lunch here because it was pretty much touted online for the food and the service. Maybe it is better at night. The pomadoro and burrata started was very good. It was a share thank goodness because the portion was large. The pasta I had was Pasta Norma which I ordered based on a previous review of how much eggplant was on it. Well, I had 4 eggplant skins and a sauce that tasted like it came right off the shelf. It was tasteless and very disappointing. This is a regional dish. Go figure. My partner had the pasta with boar ragu. He chose a different shape pasta after asking if there were options but basically got fetticini. His food was not that hot and was average. Funny taste so hoping it was the spices. I would not recomment this place based on our experience and I am sad that I wasted the calories. The service was not very attentive and we had to ask for our wine twice but to be fair, I only noticed one server and one helper from the kitchen so covering 8-10 tables might be a lot but still.

An eclectic place, on a street with a bohemian vibe. Staff was truly amazing, spirited and on top of keeping things moving. They made us feel welcomed and made nice wine recommendations to go with our food. Good outdoor seating, depending on the weather. Our food was excellent, fresh and incorporated the bounty of sea and land found in the beautiful Palermo location. This is not your typical cookie cutter Sicilian restaurant.

In one of the main streets of the historic center you will find colanders where you will have the opportunity to taste not only many first courses but also excellent platters of local cheeses and cured meats. Live concerts always take place inside on Saturdays. Recommended

Lovely atmosphere, great service, great close to our Italian vacation. Probably an American pallet, but think everything needed more salt. Servers were fantastic. Wish the restaurant well and will look forward to a future vacation and return visit.

Siamo andati seguendo le recensioni positive trovate su trip, seppur con qualche dubbio per quelle poche negative, che oggi possiamo dire non veritiere. Personale gentilissimo, propietario nonché fratello dello chef disponibile e attento anche si consigli dei commensali. Ti accolgono con dei piattini di mini bruschetti e particolari e ti salutano con l'amaro/caffè/ grappa offerto da loro. Te ne vai dopo aver assaporato dei bei e buoni piatti di pasta ; anche chi ha preso solo il secondo è rimasto contento. Torneremo.
