10/06/2025: We visited this cute little shop three times and enjoyed incredibly good gin and tea outside under the fairy lights. The two salespeople were so friendly and welcoming and gave us lots of tips for the rest of our vacation.

21/08/2025: Yesterday I celebrated my 50th birthday in this stunning villa!! But what made my party fantastic was Dominique, the exceptional photographer, I would say the least. Super full of initiatives, he left me speechless. Naturally with the collaboration of DJ Giovanni, excellent! I didn't express myself much when he asked me what I wanted. I just told him: "I have to have fun" and so it was. Beautiful experience. Thanks to the always attentive owners and a thank you goes to the staff, especially Alessandro. ❤️❤️

21/08/2025: I recommend Villa Magirosa because the professionalism of Roberto and Valentina, the hall manager Alessandro and the DJ are the guarantee for the success of a top event. We celebrated my son's 18th birthday on Monday 18th August and it was a beautiful party that received many compliments from all the guests.

31/08/2025: We visited Ambasciatori di Massaro and had a truly excellent experience. The location is meticulously designed, elegant yet welcoming, with the perfect atmosphere for enjoying a special lunch or dinner. The service was magnificent: the staff were attentive, courteous, and professional, always present but never intrusive. The cuisine is a true triumph of Sicilian flavors revisited with refinement. We began with a rich and varied mixed seafood appetizer: seafood salad, octopus with mayonnaise, shrimp in pink sauce, marinated anchovies, and fish caponata, all fresh and beautifully presented. This was followed by stuffed ravioli topped with cherry tomatoes and fish, an explosion of flavor. To finish on a sweet note, a traditional cannoli filled with fresh ricotta and decorated with candied fruit: simply perfect. A restaurant that combines quality, attention to detail, and tradition: highly recommended for anyone seeking an authentic Sicilian haute cuisine experience in Palermo.

03/09/2025: After landing at Palermo airport, we stopped at this shop for a quick lunch... an unforgettable experience... friendly service, the sandwiches are amazing, the bread soft and crunchy, and the ingredients are excellent, both locally and internationally. So we returned for our next flight. Congratulations to Carlo, the owner, and his family. Keep up the passion; it's a great calling card for Sicily. And I forgot... they also have a nice selection of wine.

21/06/2025: A meal of clouds in the Sicilian sky From Cefalù you meander along winding roads that will take your breath away, and not just because of the hairpin bends, green valleys, and a view that would make even the gods blush. There, high in the mountains, where the air is thin and the silence thick, lies a restaurant that you would expect to find in a fairy tale rather than on Google Maps. You sit down on the terrace of Terrazza Costantino at a height where clouds are not above you, but next to you. And before you are even properly seated, it begins: a parade of works of art on porcelain. An amuse here, a whispered explosion of taste there. You taste Sicily, but at star level, without it having lost its peasant soul. The wines? Layered and exciting. No thirty-page wine list here, but a selection that perfectly complements all dishes. And then the bill… While you rub your belly and your heart is full, you receive the receipt. And you look again. And again. Not because it's high, but because you think they forgot to write down a course or four. You won't find a price-quality ratio like that anymore. So, are you a bit of a Burgundian, do you have a steering wheel and are not in a hurry? Then drive up that mountain. And if you think they're asking too little for so much happiness, just give an extra tip. Because places like that should continue to exist.

05/08/2025: Very good food (if you want typical Sicilian fried food, there's really everything) and very reasonably priced. Paolo, the guy who serves the food, is super friendly, and his anecdotes and jokes make the experience of eating there even more Sicilian.

30/07/2025: They have a very nice terrace where you can sit and have dinner with a nice atmosphere. We tried “pasta a la Sarde”, typical of Sicily and also the typical dessert “cassata”. A quiet place with good food.

26/07/2025: Very warm and welcoming place inside and outside you are very comfortable, professional staff. Excellent quality food, the taste of the fish was very present, as it is fresh, even with slightly elaborate dishes, in fact I would like to recommend the preparation of some fish-based dishes in a traditional way, therefore simple such as grilled swordfish so you can fully enjoy the flavor of the same. Overall, a round of applause to all the staff.

23/08/2025: We looked for places in Cefalù through the Michelin Guide, they were all full except this one, and we understood why! The dishes were bland, but the worst thing of all was the service, very slow, even though there were only 4 people in total, and also never a smile and total listlessness on the part of the waiters. Absolutely not up to the standard of the Michelin Guide.

09/08/2025: A slightly critical five stars. There are some real strengths here, but it's not a perfect experience either. We tried five dishes (two starter, two pastas, one main) and the pastas were by far the strongest element. I feel like (non-Italians, at least) are constantly chasing elusive highs when it comes to pasta, where the textures and richness just come together into completely satisfying mouthfuls. Both pasta dishes we tried achieved this in different ways, for me the spaghetti was the standout. Both were elevated but not a huge departure from tradition (nor, sadly, huge portions - I could have eaten five times as much and been taken home strapped on the back of a vespa). The main was solid - grilled squid, came together nicely with the chickpea miso and other elements. I think you could probably do more with squid this good, but it's a strong dish. Oh I'll also mention the bread here - whoever is in the kitchen really gets their carbs, they're making absolutely fantastic bread as well as pasta. Where I was more skeptical was the starters. This should be the space where the kitchen is having the most fun - smaller portions and the fact that if someone doesn't like it, you have multiple courses to make them still leave happy means that you can really push the envelope if you want to. But here, the envelope remained pretty unpushed. The raw shrimp with citrus was fine, but only fine - fun presentation (I honestly thought they were baby carrots at first) but ultimately not more than the sum of its parts. The grilled onion was in theory more interesting - taking typical Sicilian ingredients and adding umami sources - but in the end there was nothing hugely unexpected about the taste and textures and you're just kind of sitting there thinking "damn, I just paid more than 20 euro for an onion". The price/quality ratio just isn't quite there for the starters - honestly just order an extra pasta for the same price. The question of fun is also important because while the service was professional and attentive, the vibe is currently dour. This is the height of the tourist season, and the restaurant is mostly empty in a Friday night, and the staff know it. That sucks, and they deserve better tbh - there is much worse food for not that much less to be found in crowded restaurants all over town. But this year at least, people are willing to pay for sea views over better food. Lastly, the wine was very good, and accommodating of ordering by the glass. Not the biggest cellar in town, but if you like your wines more natural or offbeat it's a well curated list. Overall, I'd recommend Qualia - but it probably needs to reinvent itself soon. I'd go back tonight if they agreed to sell me a bigger proportion of pasta and a glass or two of well-sourced wine, and honestly that feels more like the restaurant Cefalù needs.

22/08/2025: It's always a wonderful experience to dine at this lovely osteria. The food is fantastic, prepared with excellent ingredients. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the owner is courteous and very friendly. If you're passing through Castelbuono, stopping for dinner is a must.

11/09/2025: A wonderful discovery in the heart of Palermo. Probably the restaurant that has impressed me the most in this city so far. The octopus appetizer was perfectly cooked, tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. The pasta dishes were exquisite! We tried the packets with pistachio pesto, guanciale, and sausage, and the busiate with shrimp and swordfish. I couldn't tell you which I liked best, both were unforgettable. Despite the generous portions of pasta and a full stomach, we still had to mop up the bread. To finish, we shared a lemon sorbet, very flavorful and delicious. Oh, and I almost forgot, all of this was complemented by a peaceful atmosphere and a very friendly lady who took care of us throughout the evening. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
