04/02/2025: Imagine a Sunday at the end of January with a couple of friends who reach the wonderful Cathedral of Monreale, after visiting the Cloister and the interior of the Cathedral itself, full of mosaics that make you dream in their variegated colors and fantastic geometric designs, after admiring the Christ Pantocrator and the tombs of the rulers of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, you decide to take a lunch break, before going up to the roofs of the Cathedral, you can't miss going to the "Taverna del Pavone" a few dozen meters from the Piazza del Duomo. 02/02/2025: ARRIVATI A MONREALE USCIAMO PER MANGIARE CI AVEVANO CONSIGLIATO ALTRI MA POI L OCCHIO E CADUTO SU STELLINA MICHELINE entriamo il proprietario molto accogliente era tardi ci dice che il pane era finito, bene ci sediamo e ordiniamo dei primi( Norma Della Taverna Pasta fresca con salsa di pomodoro, melanzane fritte, stracciatella di burrata e salsa al basilico ) ottimo mentre degustiamo un bicchiere di vino ci porta della focaccia fatta portare apposta per non farci sentire che non cera il pane morale della favola siamo rimasti a parlare con lui ci ha detto che la sua famiglia tutti ristoratori da 4 generazioni ed il figlio anche. se passate fermatevi locale bellissimo internamente .

From the high quality ingredients, from the original flavors to the location, from Mr Carlo who welcomes everyone with a smile to all the staff who are always available, my experience was once again SUPER.

30/01/2025: The food was exquisite, they gave us a chance to try things and the taste of everything was excellent. We tried the Pannelle e Crocché which was excellent, I recommend ordering it with lemon.

03/02/2025: Tre stelle per la qualità che, ad onor del vero, era eccellente. Le due stelle mancano per i prezzi, capisco che chi ha un locale ha tante altre spese oltre che le materie prime ma farsi pagare 15,00 euro per un panino con il salame e una bibita (3,00 euro in una salumeria di comuni mortali) mi é sembrato un furto. Non torneremo certamente.

Salvatore welcomed us in a very courteous and familiar way and took care of us throughout the meal. Not to be missed

Among the dishes I tried, the entrée, the 7 mixed appetizers and the lobster linguine (I think it's the best I've ever eaten) deserve mention. Interesting dessert. We will definitely be back.

16/02/2025: A nice surprise in a country where the gastronomic offer increasingly tends towards low-medium level tourists. I think this restaurant is among the few that stand out. Excellent service, good quality cuisine that tends towards gourmet, some room for improvement (spaghetti with sea urchins with little pulp) but overall excellent. Among the dishes I tried, the entrée, the 7 mixed appetizers and the lobster linguine (I think it's the best I've ever eaten) deserve mention. Interesting dessert. We will definitely be back.

25/11/2024: An unforgettable evening The incomparable food and its matching wines were the next best thing. The best part was that the waiter immediately saw that I am left-handed and placed the cutlery "my" way. I have never experienced that kind of attention before.

04/11/2024: What a pleasant surprise they left us in Cefalú. The restaurants we passed were full. And here they accommodated us. And what a way to make it worth it and a very well remodeled old butcher shop, full of history, a place that looks for new ways to rescue the local. Impeccable and warm attention, super attentive and full of information. The dishes were pasta and a surprising grilled celery root. The perfect wine pairing with orange wines from Sicily, the ideal complement and the dessert from another planet. How lucky we were.

13/02/2025: The only true authentic Palermo cuisine, Milena top player in the conjugation of typical flavours, Taddeo, a skilled bartender with a complex mind but a refined hand, Andrea, L'OSTE, with an O and in all capital letters! As a Palermo native, the only place I come and go again..

08/02/2025: Il Castello (hotel and restaurant) enchanting and well-kept location in Patralia Sottana a few kilometers from Piano Battaglia. The hotel rooms are spacious, welcoming, equipped with every comfort and clean. The restaurant for the quality of the raw materials, the type of courses and the service is decidedly TOP! Hospitable owners, managers and workers, available and ready to satisfy every request / need. Exactly what you need to take a break from everyday life and immerse yourself in the silence of nature. Thanks for everything to the Castle Staff
