02/06/2025: And after a lovely walk to visit the two rocks waterfalls, refueling at the "La Giarra" restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. Excellent food, impeccable service, topped off by the kindness of "Elisabetta," and then a breathtaking view 😊in short, seeing is believing 😉

10/12/2025: Unfortunately, a lot of the food was frozen and didn't taste good. The service wasn't customer-oriented. You can't choose your seat; you're assigned one. The value for money is very poor.

Gli antipasti sono un vero trionfo di sapori, preparati con ingredienti freschissimi e presentati con cura. I primi piatti sono semplicemente deliziosi: ricchi, equilibrati e cucinati alla perfezione. Ogni portata è stata una piacevole scoperta. Servizio attento e cortese, atmosfera accogliente. Torneremo sicuramente alla prima occasione!

29/07/2025: While I prefer the thin, crispy version of pizza, I enjoyed the Neapolitan version, made to perfection. The wood-fired oven is a positive aspect. The crust was probably not very airy and a bit too chewy, but this didn't affect the final rating thanks to the light, well-leavened dough. Despite being eaten late in the evening, the night was "quiet." The location is simple and spartan, which due to its space and furnishings is better suited to the summer months. The service is appreciable, with great effort, even if it's not very professional. Excellent value for money. Finding a (well-made) Margherita for €5 has become a rarity. Must try.

07/12/2025: A terrible experience at Forno Generoso. For ONE portion of baked pasta rings and ONE simple breaded steak with a side dish, we spent a total of €27, including a whopping €15 for the steak alone. The prices are completely out of line with what they offer: a perfectly ordinary dish, nothing special in presentation or flavor, but the bill of a luxury restaurant. The food is completely out of proportion with what you pay. With these prices, I certainly won't be returning, and I strongly advise anyone not to go unless they want to be surprised by an exorbitant bill for very ordinary dishes.

07/12/2025: If you're expecting a simple neighborhood bakery, you'll be disappointed: they think they're a Michelin-starred restaurant... but without stars, without service, and, sadly, without quality. Haute cuisine prices, but you end up with a piece of dry focaccia served as if it were a gourmet dish. The staff looks down on you if you dare ask for "just" bread, while they list off elaborate ingredients that, when you bite into them, you can't even taste. Endless waits for baked goods that should be ready by the time they finally arrive, and when they finally arrive, they're as lukewarm with enthusiasm as they are with temperature. There are much humbler bakeries in the area that make better bread, with more smiles and far fewer whimsical thoughts.

10/10/2025: Ate lunch here today. The totano (calamar) starter was followed by a lovely plate of spaghetti carbonara and the guanciale super cross. I can recommend this trattoria without hesitation.

14/08/2025: Terrible management of the place, the waiters rush around like crazy, getting the wrong tables. The first to eat is not the one who arrives first, but the one who suits them at a high price, and if you're lucky, they'll get the pizza right.

24/10/2025: Very nice place to enjoy a cappuccino and a sweet pastry. The staff also speak English, which was a great bonus. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Ribera!

28/10/2025: This historic restaurant in Lampedusa is run entirely by women. Located on the promenade along the new port, it offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is friendly and welcoming; Mariagrazia and Francesca, daughters of the owner and chef Piera, welcome guests with enthusiasm and warmth. The food is excellent, the fish fresh and expertly prepared. Ristorante L'aragosta will remain in your heart, just like the island of Lampedusa.

09/11/2025: We arrived from Agrigento with high expectations for this pastry shop and café, drawn by its reputation. The experience was overall positive, although there were some areas for improvement. Positives: The reserved parking is convenient and appreciated. The coffee service was good, but the croissants had their ups and downs: the jam was delicious, but the dough seemed average—probably not homemade, or at least not convincing. The mini croissants we ordered later were very good, however. The quality-price ratio was fair: for what we consumed, we spent relatively little. Areas for improvement: The service had some issues. Upon arrival, my girlfriend took a free table with two chairs, but by the time she had time to browse the window, one chair had disappeared (probably taken by another customer). Left with only one chair, we asked if it was possible to dry one of the outside ones that had been soaked by the morning rain, but we were told it would still be damp. We decided to eat at the counter. Meanwhile, a table became available, and after asking permission, we were able to take a chair from there to complete our seating. Furthermore, since we already had croissants in hand from the counter, we sat down to enjoy them, but the coffee and latte macchiato arrived only after about 5-6 minutes, when we were almost finished with our croissants. Conclusion: Coming from Agrigento, we were perhaps expecting a little more in terms of quality, but the quality-price ratio is balanced for both the products and the service offered. A decent pastry shop, without any particular excellence, but honest overall.

01/11/2025: Towards the end of October, about twenty elderly former classmates, 58 years after our high school graduation exams as chemical engineers, gathered for a delightful convivial gathering at the L'Opera restaurant in Licata. A clean, bright, and welcoming family-run establishment, we ordered a seafood lunch. Elena, the beating heart of this small restaurant, was extraordinary in her hospitality and kindness. She welcomed her guests with a classic aperitif featuring an olive and a small triangle of Margherita pizza. Nine appetizers then gave free rein to the imagination, creativity, skill, and professionalism of the chef, who then delighted us with two simple yet remarkably flavorful and satisfying first courses: a rich seafood risotto and trofie with swordfish, shrimp, and eggplant. All washed down with a good local white wine. No bread, just pizza schiacciata with excellent olive oil and oregano. Then, sorbet, dessert, coffee, and amaro for everyone. The price? The perfect balance between quality and friendliness. We recommend it.

24/10/2025: Very pleasant welcome, attentive and helpful service. The risotto, sea bream fillets, and grilled squid were excellent. The wine, dessert, and after-dinner coffee were all perfect. A great place to revisit before leaving Licata.

16/10/2025: I tried the black ox, gentlemen, it was amazing. Excellent service and a wide selection of meats. Price: I think if you leave the table satisfied and with a full belly, the bill is the last thing on your list. However, here I found the quality/price ratio to be definitely in sync. Highly recommended 💣💣💣
