29/04/2026: We came for dinner without a reservation, and yet... it was a fantastic dinner! I loved the sardines alla beccafico and the red mullet, but they're so delicious. We'd have to come back every night to truly enjoy everything on the menu. The location is truly enchanting, and the service is perfect. Recommended for everyone, especially for intimate, romantic dinners.

12/06/2026: I had dinner with my partner (who has celiac disease) at this restaurant. It's a welcoming and well-maintained place. She asked for pasta alla norma, and the kitchen immediately fried the eggplants because they reported that the ones they had prepared were contaminated. The pasta was plentiful and delicious. As a true BARI resident (a fish lover), I asked for something off the menu; it was very fresh, delicious, and perfectly creamed. Those dishes embody the quality of the products, the knowledge, and the passion of those who work hard. Kudos to the entire staff. The only downside? This cuisine is addictive.

29/05/2026: The restaurant is truly excellent. Not only for its wonderful pizzas, but also for the rest of the menu, including the desserts. We went for dinner twice since we were staying at the same hotel. The service, even though the restaurant was completely full one night, was always very good. I highly recommend it: fresh food, made with love, and at a very reasonable price.

26/05/2026: I've now been to this restaurant twice with a large group. The first time, we wanted to relax, but unfortunately, that wasn't possible. The second time, almost everything went wrong with the large group. There was a long wait before they even took our drink and food orders. After 90 minutes, I got my drink myself from the bar. The food finally arrived after 120 minutes, and the grilled eggplant was cold and burnt. The filet arrived on its own and was almost cold... the accompanying fries came much later. Personally, despite the friendly staff, I won't be coming back.

20/03/2026: Excellent place, both as a restaurant/trattoria and for pizza. It has an outdoor area with several tables right in the pedestrian area. Excellent food, tasty and generous portions. The staff is very polite and helpful, the dining room is well-kept. Clean and tidy, even the bathroom, though a bit small. In the summer it fills up with tourists, so reservations are required. Average prices. Money well spent.

Congratulations to Gio Bar in Porto Empedocle for having the courage to offer such a unique flavor and for having executed it so beautifully. It's one of those flavors that lingers in your memory and makes you want to order another cone right away.

16/11/2025: Perhaps the best croissant with cooked cream I've ever had... so I often have breakfast here on weekends to see if it's the best. Alternatively, the puff pastry with apple is delicious. You can also choose from a variety of sweet treats, as well as savory focaccias. The cappuccino is also good, served in a large cup, as if it were at home, with a generous, fluffy froth. Recommended.

03/06/2026: Wonderful dinner at this restaurant in Porto Empedocle. After a day of exploring the Valley of the Temples, we found a place that exceeded all expectations. I highly recommend it! Excellent cuisine and authentic flavors We ordered fried calamari as an appetizer, which was simply perfect: incredibly fresh calamari, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, fried to perfection without being greasy. A pure taste of the sea. For our first course, the pasta with mussels was to die for. Super fresh mussels, opened on the spot, in a tomato, garlic, parsley, and cherry tomato sauce, with a hint of chili pepper that added just the right amount of character without overpowering the flavors. The pasta was cooked al dente, and the dish was generous. Every bite was a Sicilian embrace. Impeccable atmosphere and service Welcoming place. The staff was extremely kind, smiling, and very competent. Service was quick but never rushed. Excellent value. We paid the right amount for the quality we received: generous portions, very fresh ingredients, and authentic flavors. We left happy, full, and eager to return soon. This is one of those restaurants that makes you love Sicily even more. If you're in Porto Empedocle, don't miss it! Highly recommended. We'll definitely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

02/06/2026: An absolutely negative experience. We arrived at 1:00 PM, and at 3:00 PM we were still waiting for part of our orders. The biggest problem was that they served everyone except me. While everyone else received and finished their lunch, my dish never arrived. After several inquiries, I was repeatedly told that the dish was "being prepared," without any concrete explanation or timeframe. Finally, after two hours of waiting and with everyone else already finished their food, I decided, with the utmost politeness, to refuse the dish and leave the restaurant. This wasn't an isolated incident; during the wait, I witnessed the same situation at other tables. Two tables, after complaining about the interminable wait, decided to leave without lunch, exactly as happened to me. Furthermore, I don't think it's acceptable to justify what happened by saying it was a holiday. Only four tables outside were occupied, and everyone was experiencing the exact same problems of delays and disorganization. Reading other reviews, it turns out that similar incidents have already been reported by other customers. This suggests that this isn't just a bad day, but a recurring issue that the restaurant should seriously address.
