24/05/2025: We were warmly greeted by the owner and wait staff. The owner went through the day's menu (chalkboard). We really enjoyed our food; excellent caponata to start, followed by grilled swordfish and pistachio-crusted tuna. Delicious!

21/05/2025: It's one of those restaurants with just a few dishes, each of which is explained to you individually and in detail at your table. ;)

21/05/2025: Perhaps the best dinner of our vacation. We tasted some excellent wines accompanied by the delicacies prepared by the lady. Everything was delicious!

26/04/2025: My wife and I heard great things about food in Salina but were disappointed after trying a few restaurants in Malfa. However, this restaurant was fantastic and we returned for a second meal. We had the mixed starters, scorpionfish pasta, breadcrumb pasta and a daily special amberjack on our return trip. The fish ball from the mixed starter was so good we ordered it separately on our return visit. Fantastic food and friendly service!

07/06/2025: Wir sassen schön auf der Terrasse auf der gegenüberlegenden Strassenseite. Im Pescecane gibt's zum Glück auch zum Lunch Pizza (die meisten Wirte auf Lipari schmeissen mittags den Pizza-Ofen nicht an). Der Kellner war die Wucht. Er erfüllte uns jeden Wunsch und war super freundlich. So macht ein Lunch-Besuch Spass!

19/05/2025: While I was hospitalized in Parma I was thinking about something delicious to buy when I was discharged... a wonderful CASSATA, what could be better as a dessert? So I studied the best pastry shops in Palermo and the surrounding area to share a delicious cassata with my family. I chose Scimone because everyone speaks highly of it, plus in terms of shipping it is fantastic, I placed the order on Sunday afternoon, Monday it was produced and shipped, Tuesday morning it was at my house (Ancona). Wonderful! I don't make rankings because it is not my job and tastes are subjective, but one thing is certain: Scimone's cassata is delicious! Next time I'll try the cannoli because the ricotta was really good

25/05/2025: "Ancora" una volta siamo stati benissimo, dal ricco antipasto in 7 portate alle linguine alle vongole al fritto misto. Prezzi onesti e grande cortesia. I nipoti proseguono la tradizione di grande ospitalità.

18/05/2025: I called for lunch for 4 seats including two children, the lady asked me inside or outside and I answered the same not knowing that inside it was very small having a stroller, apart from this as soon as we arrived more than one waiter made us sit outside because they were not busy, after which I think it was the owner and she told us no outside there are no seats I will put you inside and from the faces of the boys we understood that it was not true we went in and since he was small I repeated to her if something could be done and put a third boy outside she was about to check outside she immediately stopped him and said no outside. Okay we were sitting inside and I asked for the two seats for the children already asked on the phone and she said no I don't like these seats and referring to the older child she said you sit in the chair since you are big, after this we said goodbye. Nothing to say to the boys but she was very very rude!!!!!!!

23/04/2025: Nice location, organized staff, cleanliness ok. Easter lunch experience, good, simple dishes without too many reasons, small quantity, without the possibility of an encore. Disappointing second course (pieces of meat in sauce, very similar to the dishes served at soup kitchens) and dessert (if you can call it dessert, colomba stuffed with cream or similar). Only two appetizers served, traditional dishes revisited, overall good, but much more was expected. Good first courses Coffee bitters service not efficient since they had to be taken at the bar counter with lots of queues and pushes, better if it was with table service. In my opinion the bill was exaggerated compared to what was consumed (45 euros).

20/05/2025: I ordered Pasta Ala Norma. Very tasty, great sauce. I recommend it to everyone.

19/05/2025: We were stopped by an employee of the place (Pinuccia) fantastic, friendly and sunny... in the square and she accompanied us to the place... we ate well, the staff was nice and friendly... too bad we had to leave in the evening otherwise we would have returned 👍🏻😊

13/06/2025: Locale situato in una laterale di via Etnea, ti regala un po’ di pace sotto un oasi verde di alberi. Servizio gentilissimo a attento. La cosa bella è che il menu è scritto a lavagna e cambia anche dal pranzo alla cena in base alla stagionalità e disponibilità della cucina. Cibo buono ma non eccezionale, quelli che per intenderci ti ricordi per tutta la vita, ma in ogni caso lo super sponsorizzo!

19/03/2025: Come da tradizione, per il giorno di San Giuseppe, Nicola ha preparato la pasta con le sarde, la cui bontà è stata molto apprezzata dal sottoscritto e dai miei, oggi numerosi, colleghi 😋. Ritengo, che questa preparazione non abbia nulla da invidiare alla più blasonata ricetta Palermitana. Per cui, possiamo, senza alcuna esitazione, iscrivere il nostro Chef alle Olimpiadi della Pasta con le Sarde 🤣
