03/06/2025: Ristorante sempre all’altezza delle aspettative dove mangi bene in generale anche se hai intolleranze alimentari. Cibi cucinati al momento da ottimi chef che ti inducono a ritornare ogni qualvolta sei in zona. Consiglio il risotto agli scampi cucinato da Ivan.

01/06/2025: Veloce pranzo d’affari in giorno feriale, location facilmente raggiungibile, è un vecchio casale ristrutturato molto carina, la cucina è davvero una sorpresa, piatti ben bilanciati e pesce fresco al banco, il servizio è veloce e puntuale, ritornerò con piacere.

25/05/2025: This is a great local fish restaurant. The fish is fresh. Alfredo, the owner, is extremely attentive to customer needs and wishes. His has a wine selection and I would recommend following his recommendations. He can also make Sicilian specialty dishes, but you need to give him advance notice (one or two days). Alfredo takes pride is serving the best traditional fish dishes. When entering the restaurant, the fresh fish is on display, for customer view and selection. I strongly recommend to make reservation and arrive at opening times, to ensure a larger selection of fish. The restaurant gets packed, quickly. In summary, this is a Great Place to enjoy traditional Sicilian fish dishes! Enjoy

21/05/2025: This cuisine is truly exceptional when it comes to seafood, as is evident in the antipasti platters. Some of the seafood is served raw, but all are surprisingly presented with fruit and vegetables.

01/06/2025: A beautiful, somewhat secluded hotel, ideal for relaxing, with a wonderful view of Mount Etna. We spent one night here. The complex is very well maintained. A little tip: be careful, Google Maps will take you past it, and the entrance is behind a gate, so keep your eyes peeled. We also had dinner there and enjoyed the wonderful menu. It was a little on the expensive side, but worth every euro. This opportunity should not be missed; it was a true explosion of flavors. The breakfast buffet and the dishes on offer were also of high and very good quality. The service was very attentive and friendly. We would choose it again in a heartbeat.

31/05/2025: I usually don’t write many reviews but this place deserves my time to write one. First of all the pictures of the hotel are not updated here in Google. It was renovated and it looks much better now. We had a bungalow which was amazing! The hotel is super quiet very very clean rooms. The restaurant is just wow! I didn’t have any expectations about it but the food was more than amazing! The view is breathtaking. I would recommend this place to everyone. It’s maybe a bit difficult to reach because it’s not near any of the popular cities in Sicily but it’s worth driving there.

27/04/2025: Dopo qualche anno di assenza per la nascita di nostro figlio, siamo tornati allo Shalai. Con mia moglie ci eravamo stati diverse volte, in quanto sia la location, sia la cucina ma sopratutto l'accoglienza sono stati sempre molto graditi. Come sempre abbiamo trascorso una piacevolissima serata, per questo ringrazio il gentilissimo e sempre disponibile Dario...un plauso anche agli altri 2 ragazzi presenti in sala, veramente simpatici e professionali. Una nota di merito va anche al trattamento che hanno riservato a nostro figlio di 3 anni, complimenti. Piatti nuovi e come sempre cucina di alto livello. L'ho sempre consigliato nelle mie recensioni e lo confermo anche in questa occasione. Nonostante la presenza della stella, ti fanno sentire come se fossi a casa. Ci rivedremo presto!!!

17/05/2025: We had made a reservation for the evening that same day. The service was exceptionally friendly, and our server was very helpful. He strongly suggested the "Larry" pizza, whose ingredients were chosen by a local customer and which turned out to be delicious despite the unusual combination of pistachios and spicy sausage. Thank you, Larry, for this creation! The squid ink pasta was truly delicious; I'd never tasted anything so good! The view of the Cefalù coast is magnificent, and we were there just in time to enjoy a wonderful sunset. I highly recommend it because it's a little out of the village and less crowded.
