22/03/2026: Our go-to breakfast spot during our stay in Agrigento. The almond milk is wonderful. A must-try if you're passing through.

29/01/2026: Always the jewel in the crown of the historic center. The place is suitable for any occasion, from breakfast to afternoon tea. A small seating area is ideal for a break during a stroll, to cool off in the summer with a granita, or warm up in the winter with a tea or hot chocolate. The wonder of wonders: the ricotta desserts (cannoli, cassata...), I believe the best in Agrigento.

13/03/2026: The pizza was delicious. The price was reasonable.

02/03/2026: The host put together a gluten-free plate with burrata, ham, vegetables and spinach. Lovely food and great service.

15/03/2026: I visited this restaurant for the first time and had a great time. The atmosphere was clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. The French veal burger and the bouef au bourgognon were delicious. Service was quick, and the dishes were well-presented. Prices were average. Overall, I'll definitely return to try other dishes. One last thing that was very important to me was that there was no background noise despite the restaurant being full. The tables were well-spaced and there was no background music, so we could chat peacefully at the table without any difficulty. If you plan to go on a Saturday, I recommend booking a few days in advance. They only book the first 8:00 PM slot, and after that, it's on a first-come, first-served basis.

14/03/2026: Meat, pizzas, sandwiches. Nothing typically Catanian or Sicilian. Sure, something a little out of the ordinary is fine; but it felt more like a pub/steakhouse than a Catanian restaurant. Pleasant, youthful atmosphere; good service; medium-high prices.

06/12/2025: We came here on the last night of our trip and it was delicious. Not the best pasta I had in Castellammare, but it was flavourful and huge portions with lots of seafood. The addition of curry in the ravioli sauce was unusual but it worked. The staff are very friendly - we ordered a carafe of wine and only had the thick stemmed water glasses. They were quick to bring us proper white wine glasses and were welcoming of our attempts at Italian! The outside area is on a slant which isn’t the most comfortable but that’s not the restaurant’s fault. I would come here again!

08/11/2025: In September, we dined at "La.maidda" a few evenings and had a wonderful time. The first and second courses were incredibly fresh fish. The tuna and pistachio steak was fantastic. The house wine was excellent. The price was reasonable for the dishes. Recommended!

10/01/2026: Four of us had dinner: two with Smartbox and two of my guests. After reviewing the menu, we discovered that only a few appetizers and main courses were available that evening. My guests opted for only one first course: busiate pasta with Nebrodi pork sausage. The dishes arrived quickly, especially since there were very few of us in the dining room. The bill: €72.00 for two plates of busiate pasta and two tiramisu dishes for the guests. Furthermore, the total included two covers prepaid via Smartbox, which I found unfair. I didn't say anything. The food quality was average, with probably excessive salt use. The location could be improved, and the service was basic. On a positive note, the young cashier/waiter/handyman was courteous and helpful, although unfortunately not very knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, a decent experience, but with several aspects that need improvement.

16/11/2025: Delicious food and great service. This quaint restaurant with terrace overlooking Taormina’s public gardens and located off the beaten track and away from the tourist traps. Highly recommend it to anyone who is not looking for the usual dishes found in most the restaurants. Well presented and fresh local food. 10 out of 10. Well done!

03/11/2025: A delicious dinner. Eva was such a gracious host and server, and each dish was prepared with affection and care — the octopus was perfectly cooked and I delighted in my spaghetti with gamberi. Thank you and your colleagues for the incredible hospitality and kindness!

23/12/2025: I was here in December and found the staff very kind and friendly, as well as an amazing first course: the spaghetti alla siracusana is truly incredible!

15/11/2025: A place where everything is gluten-free: perfect for celiacs. Both the cannoli and the genovese (try both with ricotta) are out of this world. I could compare them to Totti's chip goal at San Siro. The sandwiches and arancini are also very good. Suitable for breakfast, afternoon snacks, lunch, and dinner. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended.

13/03/2026: The quality and freshness of the food there is always top-notch. I can only find the pasta with mauro seaweed and limpets here, and it's exceptional and unique. Not to mention the raw fish and everything else. Whenever I'm in the area, I never miss dinner here.

12/03/2026: Everything was good, but you could experiment a little more with the main courses, deviating from the standard grill. The atmosphere and service were welcoming.

02/11/2025: Service! Service was invented here! The room perfectly matches the location—not overly luxurious, but everything is there and impeccably maintained. The location? The location is truly breathtaking. For lovers of fine wines, refined breakfasts, culinary dinners, and a pool with a view: this is a place to return to. I can't wait to go back. "Two photos don't say enough... it's even more beautiful in person. Judge for yourself!"

30/10/2025: Staff: Staff were lovely and very attentive. Room: Spacious, comfortable, nice amenities. There was a bottle of wine on arrival which was a nice touch. Restaurant: Breakfast was great, lots of choice and it's all high quality. The wasps swarming the breakfast area was the only negative but that can't really be helped. We had dinner in the restaurant one evening, just to try it out. I had the worst steak I've ever had here, truly terrible. Prices are insanely high too Bar: We avoided the bar entirely due to the ridiculous prices. We went to the wine tasting one evening because we thought it would be something special to do in the hotel, it cost €50 per person which is crazy given the cost in other local wineries. Location: you will need a car to get everywhere, it's very remote. All in all, I was happy enough with the hotel as a place to sleep and have breakfast. I wouldn't return because it's very limiting being so remote, especially when the hotel is charging 3-4x the prices of anywhere else for food/drinks.

24/11/2025: Great find! Spacious restaurant with a terrace and air-conditioned interior. A varied and extensive menu, featuring fresh pasta and homemade desserts. A real winner! And the price is reasonable too!

05/03/2026: Very nice place. Good pizzas of various types to suit all tastes. Prices are a little high, but you can take advantage of various offers throughout the week.

22/03/2026: Amazing experience at Fisharia in Catania! 🔥 Everything was delicious, but the raw fish… something spectacular 🤤 The quality was top notch, the fish was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. I went with my dog ​​Chopper 🐶 and we had a wonderful time, thanks in part to the super relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The area is very lively, with live music and other venues nearby, but Fisharia really stands out for the quality and attention to detail of the dishes. And the crazy thing? The prices are way below what they should be for what they offer 👏 I'll definitely be back, highly recommended! 💙

26/12/2025: This place is one of the reasons we want to go back to Balestrate.. place is always buzzin with customers and still super clean, amazing team, heavenly coffee and the food..Its something different (all selection, whatever we tried, and we tried huge variety during our 2weeks there). We also bought birthday cake there and it was lovely and In really good price. Love it!
