07/02/2025: Trattoria a gestione famigliare , la signora Pina è un ottima padrona di casa, se sei indeciso su cosa mangiare fatti consigliare da lei, sarai soddisfatto. Siamo rimasti una settimana in paese e abbiamo cenato da loro ben 4 volte, ci hanno sempre accolti con calore e serviti sempre con cortesia e sorrisi. Abbiamo sempre cercato di ordinare piatti della tradizione e siamo stati accontentati alla grande, tutto ottimo e abbondante, buonissimi i cannoli a fine pasto che Salvatore riempiva a più non posso! Grazie per l'ospitalità

25/06/2025: We went there for dinner because we were passing through. We wanted to eat fairly quickly, which worked out very well. The pizza was delicious. The staff spoke almost no English, but we were still able to communicate. The restaurant is very large and has a cozy outdoor area with plenty of free parking.

06/05/2025: Now a historic place in the Belice area, which has been modernized a few years ago, both aesthetically and in terms of menu. Menu that presents typical Sicilian dishes, some fish offerings and then a nice variety of pizzas, with classic dough or "black pizzas". The pizza is not the classic Neapolitan one, it veers a bit on the biscuity side. As a starter I would suggest the mussel soup and caponata; this was really very very good, the only negative note was the too much oil which made the last bites a little difficult, but overall it was a really great dish. As a first course we go with Busiate with pesto from Belice and Vastedda, very good as raw materials but a little bland. But in my opinion the icing on the cake is the lamb with potatoes: I would never have expected it to be served inside the crock with a covering made with pizza dough; excellent dish. Very very friendly staff, present in the room and helpful. Excellent quality/price ratio in my opinion.

03/05/2025: It's a shame not to have tasted any of the dishes, given that after booking, we couldn't find a table, they took so many diners. We have left, I await an invitation to make amends for leaving us without food.

11/06/2025: Been there with my family to visit the "fattojo", i. e., the place where they show how to make the chocolate from bean to bar. The visit was worth the trip: the two ladies showed us the the process of making the real Modica chocolate, explaining also how to roast, peel and grind the beans...interleaving the experience with sweet treats, from the cold chocolate to the chocolate flavored spirit at the end. Definitely worth visiting!

01/05/2025: Sempre perennemente affollata. Impossibile provare il cioccolato, ma, data la calca di turisti, deve essere acquistato tutto a scatola chiusa. Le tavolette da 50gr vanno approssimativamente dai €2,80 ai €4,40. I tour esperienziali devono essere necessariamente prenotati in anticipo. Buona la cioccolata fredda a €3,50 e la cassatina al pistacchio a €5,50.

20/01/2025: We were there on January 5th for lunch, the place is always beautiful and very well looked after, but the food gets worse and worse. The appetizer is the only thing well done, the first courses can be improved, but the second course is unpresentable, the meat is indecipherable, truly disgusting. terrible service, we asked for breadsticks for the children who arrived after more than half an hour, and a container to put the leftovers for the dog who never arrived. Too bad!!! We won't go back again.

21/05/2025: we ordered 2 set menus miserable, poor, empty dishes without eating. Shameful shrimp cocktail 2 shrimp drowned in pink sauce and lettuce; swordfish caponata two squares of about a centimeter of swordfish and two cubes of aubergines then two small pieces of octopus for seafood salad. 1 burst mussel (one) and smoked salmon with a slice maybe make 3 dishes then we move on to the first course: 20g of pasta; the second two rolls of one cm each. 🤑🤮🤮🤮🤮. Non-existent service. Drinks (water and wine) open bottles. 40 euros per person is a steal. It is not even correct to call it a tasting menu!!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

02/06/2025: Yesterday we had dinner at the restaurant. Everything started in the best way, shame about the ending. Aside from the questionable food (there were 20 of us and all 20 of us left the pasta at the Lido), the experience was negative because of the owner. When we got to the end of the evening, a 6 YEAR OLD CHILD urgently needed to go to the bathroom. When we opened the bathroom door, we found everything dirty (never seen anything like it). The toilet was in terrible conditions, not to mention the floor covered in dirty toilet paper. After seeing this mess we asked the waiters if it could be cleaned. Minutes passed but no one came (the child started shaking because he urgently needed to go to the bathroom). After calling for attention, the owner approached and instead of taking control of the situation he only made it worse. According to him, we should have waited until the delivery boy was free... in the meantime however the child still had to go to the bathroom. Needless to say, the bathroom was not cleaned anymore and the child went to the women's bathroom (which was also very dirty). The owner was rude, arrogant and ill-mannered. If the delivery guy is busy, you put on gloves and go clean it yourself! Terrible experience especially for the owner. The only positive note was the waiters, super kind and friendly especially the guy with the curly black hair. (P.s. in the fruit salad there is not only apple).

01/06/2025: It's delicious to eat, the pasta is second to none, the flavour and cooking are spectacular.

12/06/2025: Bad experience, zero customer care at the table, out of 5 waiters I kindly called all 5 to order something else, everyone told me yes we're coming and no one ever arrived, they were wandering around in the void and there wasn't even any confusion, until I got up and went to the counter to collect it and the beautiful thing was that I found them behind me watching me... I wonder, but how do you manage with a place like this not to take care of the customer. But I'm even more sorry.

10/06/2025: The location is too cute, beautiful, a nice place. The granita is so-so, it's not great, it didn't convince me that much!

26/04/2025: A place where everything is taken care of, where everything is wonderful... from the good food to the professionalism of the staff and the care of the location... I always felt at ease at Gorgo del Drago... where Carlo and Francesco are always attentive to all the customer's needs.
