06/05/2025: Invited to dinner by friends. I must say that we had a good dinner. Quiet environment, very friendly staff. One flaw in the menu was that I didn't find grilled vegetables and berries for the panna cotta. For the rest nothing to complain about. The prices? I didn't pay. Medium-high range anyway. We were 4 adults and 2 kids.

20/07/2025: The place is truly a place from another era. If you're expecting lightning-fast McDonald's-style service or a fancy restaurant like a fancy downtown restaurant, this isn't for you. For me, Bitteri is an experience. Expect to stay there for at least two hours. The staff is friendly and very pleasant, but it's chaotic. The place is straight out of the late '80s, so expect a Casio-based piano and customers (and sometimes even the staff!?) who give their best by singing. But above all, the food is EXCELLENT. Truly a cut above your average seafood restaurant. You'll wait an hour for the appetizers, but once they arrive, it's worth it. The price is excellent, I'd even say low. But it's clear that this place isn't geared towards tourists, but rather people from the surrounding community. Customers called the waiters by name, and the staff spent time chatting with customers while sitting at the tables. I'm sure I'll recommend this place to everyone who visits Catania. And I recommend it to you, too. But please, don't be a pretentious tourist. Immerse yourself in the experience of this little slice of the Catanian and Sicilian community. I assure you, it will be worth it.

17/07/2025: We spent 4 nights in this pleasant and relaxing place. The owner is very kind and helpful. We bought some of his homemade products (olive oil, marmalade, etc.). Located half an hour from Mount Etna, a magical, timeless place. An hour from Taormina and Syracuse. Ideally located. 100% recommended.

15/07/2025: A magnificent place, perfect for recharging your batteries with the family. Our host Mario was kind and available, something that is rare these days. The best part: you can buy products (olive oil, red wine, marmalade, etc.) made directly on site. I highly recommend it.

01/07/2025: A beer garden with very good pizza. Peroni beer in a liter edition served in a carafe. We came across a nice lady who spoke perfect Polish, so the service was completely problem-free. A good place to sit in the evening with a beer, especially on Monday, when some of the venues in the city were closed.

27/07/2025: I was traveling for work, so I arrived at the pizzeria at 10:30 PM. The lady at the cash register was not only polite, kind, and courteous, but she also granted my takeout request, something other pizzerias had denied me given the hour. I had a double zero pizza (buffalo mozzarella, porcini mushrooms, bresaola, arugula, and parmesan), which was not only delicious but also light, just as I requested. The dough was cooked well and not burned around the edges. I'm sorry I'm not a local!
