08/11/2024: I was there at the beginning of November. Deserted and clean beach. Gorgeous and pleasant water despite the cool wind. I didn't see any particular beach facilities, but since it's November, it could be there. It only has one flaw: the presence of the Enel hydroelectric plant directly on the beach, at one end. If you reach small tip it's at the top!

14/10/2024: Ideal for children, little to no current, very gradual slope, sea water temperature quite high by Dutch standards. You can walk from here to the Turkish steps, about 40 minutes there and 40 minutes back, or towards the port of Port Empedocle. Then you pass a power station, in any case there is plenty to see from the beach. However, you don't see anyone kite surfing, blokarting or anything like that. There is a surfing school. Went there in October.

14/04/2025: The square is simply beautiful with the façade of the Grand Hotel Borsa. With marvellous flowering trees in front of it. No car traffic. But a few dogs. Café Borsa is an unagitated, relaxed place. Practical furniture outside (Coca Cola ;-) ). So nothing stylish. They never serve Tramezzini (although it's on the menu, but maybe it's been cancelled in the meantime). But there is non-alcoholic beer (bravo!) - unfortunately not at all common in Palermo. I like to go there for a caffè or una birra analcolica.

28/03/2025: Great food. But the ladies in the shop were very unfriendly and absolutely not hospitable. We did not feel welcome as if it was not convenient that we came for lunch. A cup of coffee after lunch was not served?? She did not feel like it. The bill also turned out to be incorrect, there was simply 15 euros extra on it. After I pointed this out to her, the error was corrected after I had already paid by card. Perhaps we were unlucky, but for us it is not recommended while the food was simply good. But hey, eating out is more than just eating on your plate.
