18/04/2026: A decidedly disappointing experience. I ordered a steak, which unfortunately turned out to be tough as concrete and difficult to eat. My mother and sister's pizzas fared no better: very little toppings, low-quality ingredients, and an excessive use of spices that overpowered the flavors. Even the tiramisu was a disappointment for us, who are lovers of the genre: the biscuits were too dry and the cream was too much and cloying. The service seemed rushed and inattentive, and the setting was excessively chaotic and noisy, making conversation impossible. I do not recommend it.

03/08/2025: Abbiamo provato il menù degustazione a 50€, che comprendeva una selezione di antipasti, la Paella tradizionale, dolce caffè e amaro e incluso c’era anche una bottiglia di vino. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, apprezzato anche la possibilità di scegliere il dolce alla carta sebbene il menù degustazione prevedesse solo la scelta tra due alternative.

29/07/2025: This is a great spot for lunch, not touristy at all and very authentic. The pasta is fresh,we particularly enjoyed the spaghetti alle vongole and the local Vermentino. The restaurant is lovely, cozy and traditional inside and the staff are great. Many thanks for the welcome drink!

01/04/2026: The fish was good and well prepared. Ordering via tablet is convenient and quick, and the food arrived fast. The price was in line with the quality. I’m giving four stars due to how a mistake was handled: I was charged for an error made by the restaurant, even though their policy states it should be removed from the bill. Aside from that, it was a pleasant dinner overall.

29/03/2026: Lunch lasted less than 10 minutes, the first order was placed and from the kitchen you could see fingers in the nose and behind the ear while they were handling the food, at that point we got up and went to the cashier, they didn't cause any problems, paid €46 and I even had to ask for the receipt, but how can you do that?!

16/04/2026: Near the Passo del Vivione center, very convenient for breakfast after a blood test at the clinic or a take-out lunch after a visit, like I did. A pasta with tomato, capers, and tuna first course, a sausage second course, and a side of grilled vegetables, plus a Sprite, bread, oil, and cutlery, all for €13. I then ate at home. Everything was excellent and light. I'll try the omito evening on Thursday evenings for only €10. Highly recommended.

09/02/2026: At first glance, the café impresses with its beautiful location and stylish ambiance – even if some of the decor looks a bit dated and dusty. However, anyone hoping to eat will be disappointed: many of the dishes listed on the extensive menu (Caesar, salmon, or tuna salad, club sandwich, or bresaola with arugula and Grana Padano) are no longer available. Instead, there's only a ham and cheese toastie and three variations of tramezzini. I chose tramezzini with tomato, ham, Edam cheese, and mayonnaise, along with a small Ichnusa beer. The beer didn't seem fresh, the tramezzini came straight from the refrigerator – and it was missing the tomatoes. Taste-wise, it was disappointing. The cappuccino was okay, but only lukewarm and, at €2.00, overpriced compared to many better cafés in Alghero (€1.50). The "Crème Amarena" cake was decent, but nothing special. Conclusion: The strength of this establishment clearly lies in its location and decor – culinarily, it falls far short of the many truly excellent bars and cafés in the city. It's neither a restaurant nor a proper dining room, as some reviews suggest. Therefore, only three stars 🌟 🌟 🌟! PS: Even the price of €3.50 for a 0.25-liter beer is high – at least that's what it's listed on the menu. However, what's truly unacceptable is that the cappuccino, already overpriced at €2.00 on the menu, was suddenly charged at €2.50 on the bill. This is not only outrageous but simply misleading – especially since you can get a cappuccino for €1.50 in significantly better establishments in Alghero. Another cheek is the €1.00 "table service" charge on the bill. It's not about the one euro – but if something like this is charged, it should be clearly stated on the menu. Then guests would at least have the option of picking up their order themselves at the bar. Even better would be to switch to self-service altogether. For these reasons, I am ultimately revising my rating to ⭐️ (1 star).
