23/06/2025: The original San Benedetto Market building was closed on March 1, 2025, primarily because it had become structurally outdated and no longer met modern safety and hygiene standards. Specifically, it required a complete overhaul, including updates to plumbing, electrical systems, ventilation, accessibility, and overall market layout. Plans include upgrading the internal infrastructure to better support vendors and improve shopper experience. To allow the renovation, about 180 vendors were relocated to a new modular, covered market structure in Piazza Amedeo Nazzari (near Teatro Lirico). This opened on March 18, 2025, and will remain operational until the renovation is complete (likely 2027). The structure occupies a 4,000 m² metal modular pavilion, with about 2,700 m² dedicated to roughly 170 stalls including fish, meat, fruit, vegetables, bakery items, and cheeses. There are also several public restrooms, a bar and even veterinary services — all of which are under roof and fully accessible, including for people with disabilities. 🛍️ Market Hours • Weekdays: 07:00 – 14:00 • Saturday: 07:00 – 15:00 • Sunday: Closed

21/06/2025: Currently (June 2025) it is moved to Piazza Nazzari due to renovation. A food market only, with a huge selection of fresh regional products - from seafood to vegetables, cheeses, bread etc. Worth visiting out of curiosity, and if you are eating alone - a must! 🙂

15/05/2025: Excellent, the photos speak for themselves. I will more than happily return. Simple but very tasty spaghetti, clams and bottarga, very good and very soft horse steak, excellent mixed fried fish and octopus👍🏻 The wine is also very good.

23/04/2025: The food has so little flavor, but very salty, especially the broad beans, after pointing it out the girl said that it was the type of broad beans, a joke since salted broad beans don't exist, quite slow service because the girl who serves does everything by herself and runs from one table to another

Not enough cold cuts (four pieces of Macomer sausage and two slices of thickly cut ham, with fat and not very seasoned) two triangles of pecorino cheese. Chips cooked in too used oil. Aperol Spritz too bitter, glasses filled with ice to limit the content Very expensive

02/04/2025: Not a “simple” bar. We are used to thinking that bars are a place where you can grab a quick bite and not something particularly tasty or elaborate. Maybe accompanied by a courteous but unpretentious service. If by chance you have this idea, then Nobel will amaze you. Starting with the quality of the service. Attentive, welcoming and smiling people. A place where you can have breakfast is an opportunity to exchange a few words with the staff. And lunch? Behind the counter, in a small room, there is a person capable of preparing delicious dishes of any kind, suitable for those who want to indulge at lunch and for those who want to stay in shape. From Italian “pokè” to combined dishes, passing through delicious first courses and the best stuffed focaccias I have ever eaten (antico vinaio scansati :D ). Every dish I have tasted made by her has never disappointed me. And finally a real gem. If you want to accompany your lunch with a good wine, you are spoiled for choice, because behind that counter hides one of the best sommeliers in Sardinia. In short, if you still don't frequent Nobel, it is normal if you think that there is nothing special at the bar. P.s: if you try their tiramisu you become addicted.

13/06/2025: Review refers only to the restaurant, not to the B&B. Beautiful social project in a welcoming and well-kept location, with a nice garden/veranda and a relaxed atmosphere. The prices are adequate for the quality of the raw materials, all fresh and carefully selected. The wine list is also good. The menu highlights local products, even if the preparation of the dishes could be improved. The service is attentive: the guys in the dining room are kind, present and prepared, and contribute to making the experience pleasant. A place that deserves a visit, especially for the social significance of the project. We will gladly return to see how it evolves.
