26/10/2025: A Big Disappointment at Mario & Pinela – Calasapone (Sant'Antioco) I've known Mario and Pinela for over 40 years, ever since they started at Coequaddus. Originally from Sant'Antioco, I come here several times a year to see my family, and I've always enjoyed stopping by their place. But this time, what a disappointment... We went to their Calasapone establishment two days ago: there was only one couple there, no menu displayed, and no prices listed. We ordered two Ichnusa Limone beers and asked for a snack. The result: a simple piece of melted grilled pecorino... and a bill of 25 euros. Frankly, at that price, it's understandable why the island's restaurants are gradually emptying out. If tourists are being charged the same amount, it's no wonder Sant'Antioco is losing its old-world charm. In other bars on the island, the prices are clear, posted, and remain the same for everyone. Honestly, it would be nice if the Finanza would come and take a look, because operating without posting prices is simply wrong and prohibited. To answer you, sir, you are dishonest!! And your numerous reviews attest to that 😥 I am not a tourist, and your actions are punishable. Yes, it was windy, and you charged us 25 euros. You can't verify this since you didn't give a "scontrino."

16/09/2025: We've been going to Cala Sarraina for years for the beach, but unfortunately, in recent years a private area with umbrellas and loungers has been created next to the bar/restaurant... The sea is beautiful, but it needs to be clean! Unfortunately, lately, it's often dirty with plastic and various human activities, ruining this wonderful cove.

13/09/2025: Unfortunately, the good location, and the view in particular, deserves the one star in this review. The only dish without garlic (to which my husband is allergic) was gnocchi in bianco (white gnocchi), in which we found a metallic residue from dishcloth. After pointing this out to the waiter, when it came to the bill, despite the law protecting consumers and allowing them not to pay for the dish, they charged us half, explaining it on the receipt as beer that we never consumed. We will report it to the health department.

19/10/2025: We've been coming here for a long time, but unfortunately, things are getting worse. The clam pasta is bland and has a lot of oil. The steak tastes like Bofrost, which is a shame. We have good memories. The menu has also been stagnant for a long time.

17/10/2025: ZERO STARS ZERO PROFESSIONALISM, ZERO COURTESY. THEY HATE DOGS. THEY REFUSED TO GIVE MY DOG A DRINK IN 30-DEGREE HEAT. SO WHY DO YOU ALLOW DOGS? OBVIOUSLY JUST TO ATTRACT CUSTOMERS, THEN REFUSAL TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE SERVICE. PATHETIC!!! HATEFUL STAFF, FROM THE OWNER TO THE WAITERS. THEY WILL NEVER SEE ME AGAIN. I WILL GO BACK TO EAT AT "S'INCONTRU," WHICH IS ADJACENT. AT LEAST THEY ARE KIND AND COURTEOUS. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ANY DOG OWNERS.

12/10/2025: Very nice! First-floor location with a very pleasant outdoor veranda. Many gluten-free dishes: appetizers, pizzas, first courses, and second courses. Their homemade gluten-free bread is amazing! Everything is very good.

09/07/2025: On Saturday, July 5, 2025, we were there with some friends for dinner. It was 7:30 PM, and we were the first ones there. A waiter came and told us that they couldn't bring us pizzas before 8 PM because takeout had priority, and he recommended we order fried food. The other waitress came to take our orders and told us again. We ordered mixed fried food, but she told us that the wait wasn't too long. It was 8:30 PM and the pizzas still hadn't arrived, but the other tables, which had filled up by then (after us), already had pizzas, and we didn't... We asked the waitress, and she told us that they'd arrive in 10 minutes maximum. We waited another 15 minutes and they didn't arrive, but the others did... We got up and went to the owner, and I MUST EMPHASIZE that the waitress was rude throughout the entire service. We went to the owner and he asked at the counter why... then the waitress rudely replied THE ORDER WAS NOT SENT FORWARD AT ALL.... But the owner was mortified and didn't charge us for the fried food, but THE WAITRESS WAS REALLY RUDE, and I'm sorry but the service could ruin the reputation of a place I've always been going to and spoken well of, but now because of her I'll do the opposite. And I really feel sorry for the owner who is a good person.

26/06/2025: I'm sorry, but as a negative experience. I've known the place for a long time, but this time I was really disappointed. On holiday in June in Dorgali which I frequent because my in-laws from Dorgali, stopped for a pizza with my wife, we preferred another menu. Ravioli alla dorgalese for me and they were really excellent. My wife 3 casadinas, 2 of which were still frozen and not even the knife could cut them. For me a sedas, if you can call it that, served with a layer of honey that drowned the seadas themselves, I ate only honey without the taste of the cheese and the seadas themselves. It should have been served with honey on the side. Inedible, the mouth was only filled with honey. Bad experience, too bad. I learned that it is closing to become a RSA. I hope for future customers that it will be better.

Thanks to his energy and professionalism, the restaurant has a unique soul and a warmth that is felt immediately upon entering. Sincere praise also goes to the extraordinary waiters and bartenders, always kind, fast, and impeccable. They manage to combine professionalism and friendliness, making every moment of service pleasant and relaxing. And how could we not mention the chef, a true artist in the kitchen: each dish is a surprise, carefully crafted in flavor and presentation, with fresh ingredients and balanced pairings. You can taste the love and expertise in every course. A restaurant truly worth trying again and again. Congratulations to all the staff, and especially to Mario, for creating a place where quality, hospitality, and passion coexist perfectly. Highly recommended!

20/11/2025: We celebrated our graduation party here, and it was an unforgettable experience. The place is truly gorgeous, well-kept, and welcoming. The cuisine is simply exceptional: dishes prepared with great care, quality ingredients, and surprising flavors. A special thanks to the owner, Mario, a man with a huge heart, always available and attentive to making us feel at home. A place we'll gladly return to, and one that deserves to be discovered by everyone.

14/06/2025: We decide to go and listen to a group of musicians who are friends of some friends. Eight people at the table and the owner starts asking us how we wanted to pay: in groups, individually or I don't know how to avoid the cost of the bottles of water not being paid... we struggled to understand what his problem was, also because we hadn't even ordered! Anyway, my turn to order arrives and I, due to health problems, only order drinks: I wish I had never done that! The owner forces me to order food because I was occupying a table and he couldn't let me stay, I would have had to go to the counter. I suggest that I pay the cover charge, the contribution for the music and that I would have ordered drinks anyway and that the others had ordered drinks and food. A painful discussion follows for a customer who just wants to feel welcomed in a place and spend a quiet evening. I thought about leaving, but I would have affected the evening of my friends too. I add that the place was only 3/4 full. I've never had a situation like this, incredible.

13/06/2025: The total disorganization of the staff is evident from the welcome. We are a large table and we are stuck in a corner with limited space. The acoustics of the place are really bad, we can't hear each other. We order pizzas and the place is still empty. We order drinks, they bring the bottles without opening them and without dedicated glasses, which we have to ask for. In the end we opened the drinks ourselves with a fork, like in a construction site. Half an hour passes and 3 pizzas arrive, then we see the waitresses bring other pizzas to other tables that arrived after us. No one shows up and an hour passes from the order, in the meantime the pizzas arrive in fits and starts, first one, then after 20 minutes another 2... In all this I notice that the waitresses are chewing something while they bring the pizzas, I then notice that they are nibbling in the kitchen or at the pizza counter and while they serve they eat...at least they do... Another sore point is the live music, we had to run away because of the pain in our ears since the place is totally unsuitable for talking let alone live music. Side note, the price of the pizzas is very high, for raw materials that not even at the discount store. Burnt pizzas, thin and very salty. First and last time we bring money to this makeshift place. Stay away if you don't want to ruin your evening.

23/11/2025: A must-visit in Bosa for enjoying authentic, delicious, and typical cuisine in a beautiful setting. This lovely restaurant is ideally located on the banks of the Temo River and at the corner of the Ponte Vecchio. The atmosphere is friendly and the service impeccable. The menu is excellent, and the wines are very reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

05/11/2025: What a shame! Despite Google Maps indicating it's open, it's unfortunately closed. Avoid shops like this that can't indicate when they're open. Such a shame.

21/09/2025: We came to eat even though the reviews were negative. We found a beautiful setting, from the donkeys near the parking lot to the entire area with the steps you climb to the top. A breathtaking view, and the staff were incredibly kind and friendly. We ate typical local dishes, and at the end, the owner came by with the second round of suckling pig, leaving us the best part. The food was excellent, I recommend it.

21/07/2025: Cibo per stranieri non buono, servizio pessimo e soprattutto personale sgorbutico. Tavolo senza possibilità di scelta minima , messi fuori con caldo e puzza di fritto. e moscerino nel parmigiano.

07/07/2025: Locale posizionato in spiaggia, con possibilità di mangiare sia dentro, dove non fa per niente caldo, in quanto è molto arieggiato per le tante finestre presenti, sia fuori in terrazza. Cibo: abbiamo mangiato uno spaghetto al sugo con basilico, pizza margherita, verdure grigliate condite e pane + coca cola - acqua e caffè : TUTTO molto buono! Servizio: gentile, cordiale e super veloce, in 45 minuti abbiamo terminato di mangiare. Conto: onesto con gli standard della Sardegna! Consigliato!!!

29/08/2025: Avoid. The food is poor quality, and the management and staff are worse than the food. I advise any tourist to go elsewhere and stay away from these rude people who don't deserve a cent.
