18/02/2026: I visited this restaurant for dinner and the overall experience was decent, but there were a few things that left me perplexed. I ordered a beef steak with a side of baked potatoes with onions and bacon, water, a tiramisu, and a coffee. The meat was good, well-cooked, and of average quality; the preparation was nothing to complain about. The tiramisu was also pleasant. What I wasn't so impressed with was the quantity of the side dishes: the potatoes were very few compared to the main course. Considering the total of €35 for a relatively simple dinner, the price seemed a bit excessive for what was offered, especially in terms of portions. The service was adequate and the atmosphere pleasant, but overall the value for money could be improved. Not a bad experience, but not one that fully justified the bill.

The relaxing atmosphere is ideal for a romantic dinner or a lunch with friends or family. The staff is friendly, attentive, and helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable. Definitely a place to try and return to!

17/11/2025: Historic restaurant overlooking the Plagemesu seafront, excellent cuisine, excellent seafood in a splendid setting. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food.

02/06/2026: There is no english menu. The staff does not speak english. The menu at the door is not the same menu as the one in the restaurant. Very confusing set up. Food is ok but not great. Would not recommend it and will never come back.

18/05/2026: The only positive note was the kindness of the waiters, the menu for Pilau was very limited, with tiny portions, at least this dish, which is the typical one, should have been abundant, the seafood salad starter had more salad than fish, in short, a total disappointment.

18/05/2026: The set menu for the pilau festival was a joke, the portions were really too small. For the price asked, the seafood salad was more salad than fish, the pilau dish, although good, was really small, the mussels too.

02/06/2026: Very lovely service! I ordered a hamburger which was very tasty and recommend the cake with strawberries which they warm up, was delicious!

31/05/2026: The pizza tastes delicious, the service is very friendly and attentive. The prices are unbeatable, and the whole restaurant is very clean.

07/10/2025: As soon as the owner said that they only serve water, beer or wine I knew I had come to the right place. Ignore the negative reviews, this place is perfect. Great food and you feel like you are sat in someone’s home. The restaurant is welcoming, warm and cosy. The food is comforting and the portions are very generous. It tastes like a family run restaurant and feels more authentic than many of the other restaurants that we have visited on the island. As a side note there is a great view from the car park.

10/06/2026: We sit down and want to have two glasses of white wine. We ask the guy, and he immediately says Arkena. I tell him I have no idea, but I emphasize that it's fruity, and he says, "Arkena." I trust him. We ask for something to eat, just to have a sort of aperitif, and the guy says, "Sure, fine!" Meanwhile, we look around; the place is charming, but we notice all the dirty tissues on the floor, papers, and receipts—in short, everything is very dirty, with other guys from the place sitting on the steps waiting for customers. The guy returns, brings the two glasses, and tells us that the aperitif service will start in 45 minutes, or at 4:45 PM. So we ask for the menu, and he points to the napkin holder with the menu's QR code. I taste the wine, and it's sparkling, and I don't expect him to change it for me, but I call him back and ask for a still wine, explaining that I don't like sparkling wine. We order fries for €6 and he brings me a glass of still white wine. We go to the register and pay €32. I look at the menu and see Arkena for €20 for two glasses, still wine for €6, and fries for €6. So, to sum it up: you offer me Arkena and don't tell me what kind of wine it is, and it's also quite expensive compared to the others. You don't ask me about the wine exchange, which could be a way to get me to come back and make the customer feel better. And when no one's around, instead of clearing away the papers and dirty tissues, you sit on the steps? We didn't appreciate it at all. We won't be back. How could you ruin a place with such an enchanting view? Bad!

13/06/2026: We waited a long time to be served. The food is very bad, we had carbonara and chicken salad. The carbonara had horrible bacon with a strange taste and lumps in the pasta. The chicken salad was completely tasteless and dry, the chicken was overcooked, the salad was completely unseasoned. Recommendation - avoid this restaurant.

29/10/2025: Location admittedly lovely; the view across the beach is beautiful, but that’s where the positives end. We shared one grilled fish (600g) and were charged €45, without being told the price in advance. The so-called “tomato salad” was literally just a few flavourless tomato quarters, no dressing or seasoning. Chips were fine (hard to get those wrong), but overall the food was completely underwhelming for what we paid. We were shocked to get a €76 bill for a very mediocre lunch for two. Definitely not worth it … you’re paying for the view, not the quality.

01/03/2026: The beers are excessively expensive for what the place offers (€5 for 33cl bottles), while the medium draft beers are at least €8 (and are often unavailable); too much, in my opinion. The place isn't bad, it has potential; the decor includes some wood and a certain variance in the spaces and between the tables (though there's no counter to sit at). In short, you generally need to find the right night, when it's the crowds that make the place interesting; instead, it's often practically empty, and with those high prices, it's not inviting. The bathroom is reasonably clean. The service is good enough, but it's not particularly appealing.

20/02/2026: Karaoke at 1 AM? Rude girl, friendly bartender. Not worth going.

12/03/2026: Yesterday I ordered two pizzas for home delivery. The pizzas were delicious, but the delivery guy scared me. I hadn't picked up the pizzas yet, and I was going up to the house to get the remaining change to pay the bill. The guy from the front door proceeded to follow me to the inside door of my house, almost as if he wanted to come in, too intrusive.

31/01/2026: Terrible, ordered two pizzas for delivery. They make you wait two hours. (On top of having the phone disconnected). If they can't fulfill orders, maybe it's better not to accept them so someone can choose another pizzeria and eat at a more reasonable time. Never again!

08/06/2026: Better to eat somewhere else or cook yourself! The waiters don't understand the concept of primi and secondi – the food all arrived at once. The meat was either incredibly fatty and greasy or dry. Service: We were first brought the wrong drinks, and then, with a terrible expression, the correct drinks were brought after we asked for them. Midway through the meal, the waitress silently took our Parmesan cheese without a word, just as she walked past us (and never brought it back). I haven't had such a poor restaurant experience in a long time.

07/06/2026: Dining room downstairs smells of mold, outside area smells of smoke and burning, manager brings you what he wants, absolutely to be avoided
