19/10/2025: We stayed and dined at Su Barchile, a wonderful hotel in typical Sardinian style right in the center of Orosei. The dining room is truly beautiful, completely decorated with Sardinian handicrafts. We ordered the gluten-free pizza, the best I've ever had!! Tasty and crispy, which is incredibly difficult to achieve in gluten-free pizza. The gluten-free sebadas was excellent, and the fried ravioli, these with gluten, were delicious; you could smell the maraschino...a delight. They were incredibly kind, and Antonella was incredibly hospitable! See you soon!

19/10/2025: An excellent example of "Hospitality." A beautiful property with wonderful staff who make you feel at home. Everything is very well-maintained and clean. The location is excellent, right in the center of town. The restaurant boasts top-notch gluten-free cuisine. In particular, the gluten-free pizza isn't made with pre-made bases or flours, making it superior to the usual options; it's delicious and easy to digest. They also pay special attention to children's needs. Overall, both the hotel and the restaurant are highly recommended.

On Fridays, the restaurant offers a competitively priced buffet dinner featuring a wide variety of seafood and meat dishes, including cured meats, cheeses, and sea mussels, as well as traditional Sardinian dishes such as fregola pasta with local porcini mushrooms and sausage. In addition to the included buffet drink, you can choose from a wide selection of fine wines and spirits from all over the world. You can also order artisanal ice cream. 30/10/2025: Hi, the lone star is only for the waiters, who were kind, even though... I'll tell you more. We made a reservation and they accepted us even though we have a medium/large dog (they were very kind). The waitress was very kind, welcoming us and bringing us drinks (the Coke bottle was very dirty with long hairs stuck to it that didn't belong to the waitress) and taking our order. One of the dishes we ordered wasn't available, so we opted for two first courses and several appetizers, a dish of the day, and two side dishes to be brought out first. The appetizers, the dish of the day, and one of the two side dishes arrived, plus a dish kindly provided on the house. Everything was good, then the first courses arrived, both different from the menu, or rather, missing key ingredients. If I order fregola with vegetables and fondue or cream cheese, I expect it... but instead it was a very oily caponata with fregola in it. I called the waiter, who, mortified, apologized and told me the kitchen's explanation ("they didn't have that type of cheese and forgot to tell you when you ordered, so they made it without it." It was a shame that the cheese platter, previously ordered, had it.) The same thing happened with the culurgiones, which instead of pecorino fondue had just grated cheese. We pointed out that the dishes weren't as per the menu, and returned the fregola intact. We ordered dessert and coffee and went to pay... Remember that I had specified earlier that I only ordered one of the side dishes? Yes, because the second course never arrived. After paying and looking at the receipt, not only were we not given a discount due to their miscommunication regarding the first courses (oh well), but they also included the dish that never arrived...with the excuse that the order had been sent, even though it wasn't processed and delivered to the table. And we weren't refunded because they didn't know how to do it, since we'd paid by card. We specified that they'd keep the money as a tip, since they didn't know how to return it. Anyway, it was an absurd situation that I NEVER expected, especially since the owner was present and could have intervened for the mistakes of his kitchen staff. As a fellow restaurateur and cook, I found this to be terrible behavior and felt ashamed for them (especially the kitchen), and I felt very sorry for them as a customer too.

10/09/2025: The pizza was nothing special... just average. It smells terrible (outdoors) because the cats roam freely and do their business on the ground just a few inches from the tables. Avoid...

20/08/2025: I'm a little biased because I love animals, especially cats. We had pizza, and for someone who doesn't really like pizza, I have to say it was very good. The special treat for cat lovers like me is eating on the veranda where you'll find the little four-legged furry friends. 🐾

01/10/2025: Decent restaurant, clean, well-decorated, decent food, exorbitant bill. The food quality is nothing exceptional. In my opinion, avoid it.

04/09/2025: We ate as a couple, huge portions, very modest seafood appetizer on the raw fish... 5 truffles and 3 oysters and a generous amberjack carpaccio priced at €30... the quality of the seafood was really high but a few additions didn't hurt... the first courses were really generous... very hectic service with a bit too much pressure from the waiters despite the place being half empty... overall a good restaurant but in need of a little tweaking...

20/11/2025: "I do not recommend visiting this restaurant in Italy. The staff, particularly an older gentleman with glasses at the entrance, were very rude and refused to serve us. He told us to get pizza next door, which was very disappointing. It's a shame that a business like this treats people this way. I hope they reconsider their approach to customer service. It's not the experience one expects in a country like Italy."

The hotel's Art Nouveau style and enviable, strategic location made our holiday wonderful. Thanks to the owners, who are truly special, and to all the staff.
