22/07/2025: An Enchanting Treasure Chest of Flavors in Otranto! This restaurant is a real surprise in the heart of Taranto! As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by a stunning setting: terraces adorned with grape pergolas and, downstairs, a small cellar with an excellent selection of wines. We enjoyed an exceptional platter of local cured meats and cheeses, all washed down with a delicious craft beer. The owner, incredibly kind and attentive, truly made us feel at home. The local myrtle liqueur, which was kindly offered to us, was also very welcome!

10/07/2025: We happened upon this place by chance, wandering around Otranto, attracted by the excellent reviews. We stopped for dinner. Kindness and friendliness, they're right at home. I ate spaghetti with speck, cherry tomatoes, and chopped pistachios. Truly exceptional. Excellent value for money. Being from Bologna, if I ever pass through Otranto again, I'll definitely visit them again.

Larga lista de cócteles, los propietarios trabajan con eficacia y cuando llegas a conocerlos son geniales. No tenía nada de comida, pero realmente disfrutó de tomar una copa allí. Es un lugar pequeño, así que establezca sus expectativas a lo que 2 a 3 personas pueden hacer y disfrutar. Nos encantó el lugar, el ambiente y la gente que trabaja allí.

15/05/2025: Not accessible by car. It's best to bring only light luggage. Access is on foot via alleys with stairs. Staff are very friendly and helped us carry our suitcases.

I had the Pescatrice lardellata (monkfish wrapped in citrus lardo from Gargano, with Jerusalem artichoke and honeyed figs). Rich, sweet, citrusy — absolutely refined. Elegant atmosphere, top-notch service, everything serious and upscale. Highly recommended!

28/05/2025: There were four of us at Corte del Casaro: Two adults, a toddler, and a baby. We were looking forward to our visit – especially because of the many positive reviews we had read beforehand. Unfortunately, our overall impression was rather mixed. Ambience & Atmosphere The location is truly beautiful. The restaurant is idyllic and stylishly decorated – you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The presentation of the dishes was also consistently appealing. This is where the restaurant definitely scores points. Food Our culinary experience started off promisingly: The appetizer plate was excellent – ​​varied, fresh, and full of flavor. My wife opted for the beef with chips – very tender, beautifully seasoned, and cooked to perfection. Our daughter was also pleased with her Margherita pizza – classic but solid. Unfortunately, my own main course was disappointing: The chicken was simply not tasty, and the grilled vegetables were bland and uninspired. I returned half – something I only do in exceptional cases (when I asked why - nope). It was neither the quality nor the taste one would expect from a restaurant with such aspirations. A real shame, especially after the strong start with the appetizer. Service Unfortunately, the service wasn't up to the standard the location suggests. The staff was mostly reactive – orders were taken correctly, but proactive hospitality was lacking. A proactive glance at the table or a quick question would have been appreciated. A smile, too. Value for Money The prices are reasonable and quite fair – as long as the quality of the food matches up. In our case, that was only partially the case. Conclusion I like to give restaurants a chance to convince me – in this case, unfortunately, only my wife and daughter were completely satisfied. The ambience and individual dishes demonstrate the potential that Corte del Casaro has, but my dish and the service unfortunately had weaknesses. After the many positive reviews, I had expected more. Overall rating: 3 out of 5 stars – with room for improvement

13/07/2025: An oasis of tranquility, silence, and relaxation, accompanied by the cheerful sound of cicadas. Lots of well-kept greenery, and plenty of art evident in the use of stone and fine ceramics. The property is truly beautifully furnished down to the smallest detail, and every room is spotlessly clean. The staff is extremely kind, and the breakfast is divine, featuring Apulian products, some of which are genuine. A great stay for me.

02/07/2025: Magnificent place above the water, spectacular sea view at sunset! We had the white crostini as an appetizer, delicious especially the ones with raw shrimp. As a first course, orecchiette with turnip tops and stracciatella, a must try! And finally, mixed fried fish and seafood, everything was delicious. Even the spumone with figs was very good. A wonderful place and kind and friendly staff, congratulations!
