18/07/2025: Tasteless dishes, slow service, noisy setting... Nothing makes you want to come back. Huge disappointment. The price of €3.50 for a plate is ridiculous.

20/08/2025: My husband and I arrived in Ceglie Messapica around 2:30 PM after a long journey, wandering through the town tired and hungry as wolves, but luckily we found this delightful little place still open. Despite the late hour, the owners kindly seated us and served us a tasty mix of local cured meats and cheeses, as well as a selection of delicious vegetables in oil prepared by them, all washed down with an excellent Rebo. Excellent quality ingredients, flavors that express the full spirit of Puglia, and we will never forget the genuine courtesy with which we were welcomed. Absolutely fair prices. A place to keep in mind for a return visit.

11/06/2025: Bombette, vegetables and potatoes superlative. High quality at reasonable prices. Excellent meat. No first courses or pucce, bread to be improved. Very pleasant service, they offered us a chocolate fig and a very good cantuccio. Recommended :)

25/08/2025: I asked to see the receipt (which they should have given you when you present the bill) and found that they were charged €8 for the side dishes, even though the waiter confirmed they were part of the main course. Unable to explain this situation, a discussion ensued, in which they told me they were giving me a discount and taking them off. I'll just describe how things went without comment, but I encourage everyone to check the receipt before paying. I believe transparency is the foundation of a business. I can't publish the receipt because the owner took it from me and tore it up.

07/08/2025: We visited this restaurant last night (August 6), encouraged both by word of mouth and the excellent reviews. The restaurant is located in the historic center, so parking may be a challenge. However, we were lucky: we found a paid spot about a hundred meters away. The restaurant appears to have been converted from what was probably a private home, so don't expect large reception rooms, but rather rooms adapted for the purpose, with tables set up wherever possible, including outside. Let's be clear: if you follow a specific diet or prefer à la carte dining, this might not be the right place. The menu is fixed, with no menu, and offers three options for 20, 25, or 30 euros, differing only in the number of courses (more or less starters and main courses). All menus start with 12 appetizers (yes, twelve!) offering a veritable array of typical Apulian dishes: dairy products, eggplant, zucchini, fava beans, capocollo... a journey through traditional flavors. Nothing like gourmet cuisine: here you dive into the past, into those genuine flavors reminiscent of Sunday lunches with your parents and grandmothers. It's true traditional Apulian cuisine, unfussy yet rich in authenticity. We chose the €20 menu, which included a second course, and opted for the mixed grill. Truth be told, we were already full after the appetizers, but with chicken livers, bombette, and the like... how could you say no? The price also includes water and, in our case, half a liter of local red wine. What more can I say, except that the welcome was exemplary? An experience we recommend to those seeking authentic flavors, generous portions, and a family atmosphere. It will be added to our list of restaurants to return to, perhaps for lunch :-)

23/05/2025: This is the best bar I’ve been in for many years. Luigi is a fantastic host and along with his father he has created a welcoming and atmospheric experience. Great playlists, enormous wine selection and fresh tasty food. Went in everyday on a long weekend trip and I can’t wait to return.

20/08/2025: We had dinner in this typical Apulian location, typical food with handmade orecchiette of the best consistency and flavor, varied and abundant appetizers; the town of Ceglie di Messapica is a discovery, highly recommended.

19/08/2025: The food was really good, the staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and the lady who made the orecchiette on the spot was legendary (though I don't know if they were actually the ones we were served; they were different sizes). It was crowded, and the service suffered—we spent three hours at the table! The prices are definitely high.

03/09/2025: Its strong point is that it only offers three different sandwiches, but they do so with extraordinary quality! Delicious and rich, they're addictive! There's no seating, so you have to squeeze in a spot against a wall or order takeout, but that's not a problem given the quality of the products. Highly recommended!!!

14/08/2025: AMAZING! Probably the best sandwich I've ever eaten. Quality ingredients, superb cooking, and superb flavor. I had two because I also wanted to try the smash burger, but my favorite was the pork loin sandwich. It was so good I didn't have time to take a photo (the one in the photo isn't mine). Highly recommended, I'll definitely be back.

23/08/2025: As soon as I arrived at Villa Kailia, I immediately felt welcomed. The place is meticulously maintained, immersed in nature, with an elegant yet never overly formal atmosphere. The food is top-notch: carefully crafted dishes, authentic flavors, and surprising pairings. But what really makes the difference is the service. Aldo and his staff are incredible: kind, attentive, and make you feel important without ever being overbearing. It's one of those places where you sit down, relax, and never want to leave. I'll definitely be back.

17/08/2025: We spent a perfect Ferragosto (August 15th) at Villa Kailia, immersed in the Apulian countryside. The location is welcoming and relaxing, ideal for an outdoor summer lunch. The menu was extensive and well-curated, featuring hearty and delicious traditional Apulian dishes, from the mix of rustic appetizers to the desserts. The service was friendly and attentive, and the owner, Aldo, made us feel right at home. Highly recommended for those looking for a genuine, convivial Ferragosto (August 15th) filled with authentic flavors.

17/08/2025: The Apulian appetizer was a joke... shrimp in pink sauce, smoked salmon with a glaze, and sautéed zucchini... the only thing Apulian was the mozzarella... I ordered the seafood cavatelli, and there were two mussels and two clams per order. The receipt read "cavatelli with clams and mussels," while the menu said seafood. A complete joke and an exorbitant price.

26/08/2025: Nice food, big portion, there was a bit of confusion among the waiters, three of them came to take the order, we noticed that they served a bottle of wine to a table that didn’t order the wine and even our food was served to another table until they said it wasn’t for them…I don’t think we will go there again

26/08/2025: What a disappointment! The 9 appetizers were actually only 5. The grilled fish was almost inedible (luckily the guests were foreigners, they didn't understand). If you serve mashed potatoes and fava beans, DON'T SELL IT AS FAVA FAVA PUREE, and then justify it by saying that's how you do it!!! In Puglia, we don't eat like that!!! Warning: the cuisine is only for foreigners/tourists.
