12/02/2026: Random stop on a rainy offseason day. Owner Vincenzo was so friendly and helped us select our meal. Not only did he help us find the more local options for food and wine, he helped with general information and recommendations for our visit. Excellent lunch in a comfortable place.

03/02/2026: We found this place by chance for lunch with friends. The owner was very kind and seated us even though the restaurant was about to close. He had us sit outside, as we requested, and turned on the patio heaters. The food was good and the prices were reasonable for the quality and the location. Attentive service and a pleasant experience. I recommend it!

15/01/2026: A quaint place...the rooms are small but well-appointed...they're located inside a trullo. The owner is friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The staff were very attentive despite the place being full. Well done.

03/01/2026: We went to this restaurant in Alberobello for dinner on December 31st and had a wonderful meal. I recommend it to everyone. The restaurant is warm and typical of the area, and it's very nice even in the summer, with a terrace where you can eat and free parking near the restaurant.

10/06/2025: J'avais demandé à l'IA le chat mistral un restaurant à Alberbello qui ne soit pas un attrape touriste, il m'a conseillé celui-ci ! Pas déçu, bon rapport qualité prix, et serveurs très gentils, il y avait même une serveuse qui parlait français ! Parfait !

Don’t let the alleyway and side entrance fool you — this place is incredibly spacious, with enough seating for even a large wedding party both inside and out. The atmosphere is charming, authentic, and full of character. The staff was amazing from start to finish — warm, accommodating, and genuinely welcoming. There are plenty of options on the menu to suit just about anyone’s taste, and the fresh, handmade pasta dishes were outstanding. Everything tasted authentic and made with care. We ended up spending about two hours here while waiting out the rain, and never once felt rushed. It was the perfect place to relax, enjoy a great meal, and soak in the experience. Highly recommend La Locanda del Gallo for a sit-down lunch, dinner, or even just a cold drink. Here’s a slightly more enthusiastic version too, in case you want it to sound even stronger: La Locanda del Gallo was an absolute gem. Don’t let the alleyway and side entrance fool you — once inside, you’ll find a beautiful, spacious restaurant with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. The entire place has an incredibly charming and authentic feel. The staff was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and very accommodating. The menu offers something for everyone, and the fresh homemade pasta was truly fantastic. You can taste the quality and care in every dish. We spent nearly two hours here waiting out the rain and felt completely comfortable the entire time. We were able to relax, enjoy our food and drinks, and never felt rushed for even a second. Whether you’re looking for a full lunch or dinner or just a cold drink in a welcoming atmosphere, this place is absolutely worth a visit. Highly recommended.

06/12/2025: We had orichiette with sausage and ragu and finished off with hot chocolate, tiramisu and chocolate and coconut tart. Very good food and close to the main streets of Alberoberro.

15/10/2025: The waiter brought us a coffee with normal milk when we specified soya. We are both extremely lactose intolerant. When we asked for a new coffee and sent it back they refused to remove it from the bill and said it wasn’t their fault. Terrible service.

14/10/2025: No toilet seat or toilet paper in the ladies or gents toilets. No toilet seat unfortunately seems standard in most of restaurants in Puglia

18/01/2026: Found by chance during a visit to Alberobello. Quiet place on a side street off the main road. Good food, small but busy location; we ate lunch outside. Average prices. Recommended.
