27/05/2024: I traveled more than 500 km just to return to Tiglio, which I had discovered by pure chance during my holiday on the Sibillini 5 years ago (the first holiday with the man who later became my husband): it was such a surprise that we fell in love with it (it didn't yet have a star at the time), and since then it has entered our hearts. Returning there was a unique emotion, which did not disprove one iota either the memory or the very high expectations we had. The Tiglio experience (because we are talking about pure Experience) is worth the trip! Highly recommended.

22/05/2024: We expected more from a place considered a UNESCO heritage site. Perhaps because we visited it on a Friday afternoon or perhaps because it is more evocative in winter, when the sanctuary is surrounded by snow-capped mountains. We found all the bars & restaurants still closed and no one else around except a few other tourists like us. The feeling is that of a place that is no longer lived in. We were also unlucky because we didn't know that they were doing some restoration and safety work inside the sanctuary itself.

The excellent service, compliments to the efficient waiters, available and suitable for this job, dealing with people isn't easy. Excellent cuisine, decorated and very tasty dishes, furthermore the portions are generous, they fill you up unlike some places full of decorations, embellishment of the courses but little substance. Quo Here you will find excellent decorated but rich and abundant dishes. We will definitely return

23/05/2024: In this period in which money is never enough and you try to save where you can go to a restaurant it doesn't happen frequently.... this is DEFINITELY the BEST RESTAURANT in which to decide to give yourself this gift.... EXCELLENT DISHES, RIGHT QUALITY/PRICE RATIO, VERY KIND and SMILING STAFF in a VERY NICE and WELCOMING ENVIRONMENT.

30/05/2024: My husband and I had dinner on a weekday. The restaurant is very beautiful and elegant. The staff were welcoming, kind and attentive to service. We had a squash flower squash, light and tasty; a 1.3 kg Florentine steak all accompanied by a glass of Valpolicella wine. To finish, two coffees, which arrived accompanied by two pastries. Adequate price.

18/04/2024: Dinner for a couple in this restaurant, already from the telephone reservation you can understand the level of professionalism. Once you arrive you are greeted formally but with a smile, with a retro touch, which was very pleasant. The room is very beautiful, well-spaced tables, simply furnished, but at the same time gives a feeling of relaxation and warm welcome, you can feel a sensation of quiet intimacy at the table. The service is always present, professional, but never intrusive. We really appreciated the explanation of each course, plated in an excellent manner. We decided to have two starters and a first and second course, and we can say that on all courses, the raw materials were of excellent choice and cooked perfectly with combinations of sauces and reductions, so different and intense that they were perfect in combination. The wine list is vast and assorted, ranging across the various regions, I would say that everyone will find their choice. A little treat that left us pleasantly surprised "the entrée" with a selection of three dishes with a tasting, which make us understand the level of what the subsequent courses will be; the plate of desserts at the end of the meal, and having asked for a bitter to worthily finish an excellent dinner, they brought me to the table 3 varieties of liqueurs also accompanied by an essential but well-made explanation of the flavors, from which to choose. The price of dinner and courses was very in line with the products and service that accompanied us throughout the evening. We will certainly recommend "Matteo" and will return to experience other gastronomic emotions. Small side note, pleasantly surprised by the dining room staff who with great mastery is always with a smile, explained the various courses in English to two couples.
