Lunch on a gloomy day in Biella, at La Civetta.
Since it was already such a humid day, the food was good, polenta was a must, given the slightly cloudy weather.

Lunch as usual, with fresh, good food. We ate well and drank a little...dessert was always superb!

Historic venue, very friendly staff, good service, excellent marinated zucchini, less tasty giardiniera, generous portion of eggplant parmigiana, but it was cold and tasteless. The restaurant's strong point is its location in the historic center, with tables (a bit cramped!) outside under the porticoes, perfect in summer.

Greeted with a warm welcome—and that doesn't happen often—we were seated under the balcony right outside the restaurant. The interior is very charming and, above all, very original. The staff is super friendly and eager to accommodate guests' requests. The portions are generous, and above all, the dishes are delicious (even the cooked vegetables, which often taste like nothing elsewhere, were delicious here). Vegetarian options are also available (I am vegetarian). A selection of draft beers, including local ones, a wine list, and desserts that will tempt even those who hate sugar (the tiramisu is a prize). The prices, in my opinion, are very fair. Please note: the Piazzo in Biella is a restricted traffic zone (ZTL), so you must leave your car in the Piazzo parking lot and take the elevator up to the Piazzo (the funicular does NOT operate; there are replacement buses).
Highly recommended.

Small, but not overly so. Beautiful inside, lovely outdoor seating. If you eat outside, be prepared for the heat, as the sun hits the tables steadily. Perfectly clean. The staff is welcoming and always available for a chat and a smile, despite their busy schedule. Excellent food, with plenty of polenta options, but the rest is also interesting. The wine list is extensive. Very good value. A place to return to.

Excellent Biella restaurant with character, located in the heart of the nightlife. Friendly and attentive staff. Generous dishes.
The climb up is a bit tricky if you're arriving on foot. If you have mobility issues, I recommend taking the cable car bus instead.
I recommend booking in advance—seating is limited—especially in summer, as it can get a bit warm inside, so it's best to eat outside.

My mother and I found ourselves in the area unexpectedly and stopped for lunch here. The staff was super friendly; it was actually fully booked, but they found us a spot with a wheelchair-friendly table, and the gentleman even helped me carry it, seeing me struggling on the paving stones in the square.
We had a really great time, and the food was spectacular. We'll definitely be back!

Excellent place for Piedmontese cuisine. From appetizers to dessert! I recommend the gorgonzola panna cotta and letting the staff guide you. The restaurant's history is beautiful, and the spirit shines through.
Reservations are essential, otherwise you risk missing out on this wonderful place.

The owner is very kind, empathetic, and available to offer menu suggestions. The (true) story on the menu is very interesting. Very good value for money.
