27/06/2025: It’s always difficult to write a poor review of a restaurant, especially a very local restaurant to a smallish community, where there seems to be a history of five star reviews and gushing comments, and yet here I sit in my charming agritourismo bedroom just up the hill, angry at having been ignored for slightly more than 40 minutes after arriving. For the first 15 minutes, my wife and I sat chatting while the staff went in and out past us, clearly busy addressing a largely local and familiar clientelle outside on the balcony. Eventually we put her hands up and stopped someone to ask if we could at least have the menu, and it took one more reminder before even that showed up. We raised our hands several times as staff went past us from kitchen to the outside area. At one point we asked if we could move outside in the hope that that might make us more visible, but no, we were told that wasn’t possible and even when some spaces became available, no one asked us if we wanted to get up and move. I can assure you that I am no routine complaining reviewer, if you’re in any doubt please have a look at my reviews, I take a pride in reviewing good restaurants for people working hard to make a living and realise that looking after their customers is a vital part of their likely success, and it makes me feel bad to say anything critical, it’s just what I really don’t like doing. But here in Pizzeria San Sebastián, I just can’t let it go…. I felt treated like an outsider, casually ignored and in the end we got up and left without anyone even making an effort of any kind to come and see where we were going? So in all fairness I can’t say don’t go there, but I do say keep my review in mind, because at least now you know that it’s not impossible that you could be completely ignored. There are other dining options in the village, so explore them too. … and to the owner of pizzeria San Bastian, please take this as a gentle reminder of the importance of your customers, even the non-local foreign ones like us, and that it’s a privilege that we come and support your business when we do.

11/06/2025: Das Essen war alles andere al gut. Angefangen vom Wein der nicht gekühlt wurde, bis hin zum Dessert den es nicht gab. Vitello war extrem dick geschnitten und geschmackli definitiv anders als gewohnt. Die Ravioli ( spinat / riccotta) waren nicht zu geniessen. Alles ohne Gewürze und grauenhaft faad. Die Bedienung war bemüht. Jeoch wurde nicht nachgefragt, obwohl 1 teller unberührt retour gegene wurde. Zum essen ganz klar nicht zu empfehlen

22/05/2025: Tutto veramente ottimo, l'accoglienza, il servizio e la spettacolare cucina e per glia amanti e conoscitori, essendo questo locale una enoteca, una scelta di vini per tutti i gusti e per le "tasche". Pertanto seppur collocato in un piccolo borgo "forse" poco conosciuto, vale davvero la pena fare una piccola deviazione da rotte più inflazionate per ristorarsi con un buon pranzo o cena in questo luogo tranquillo ai piedi di un piccolo, ma simpatico castello.

25/05/2025: You can choose between traditional pizza, Neapolitan pizza with crust, cereal pizza without yeast, gluten-free pizza... well done! And what originality in the pizza proposal... very good and at a good price.

12/07/2025: Delicious pizzas baked in their own stone oven. Be sure to order dessert; they're superb. The service is very friendly, and you'll truly feel like you're among the locals here. Highly recommended!

28/08/2025: I chose this place based on appearance, since I'm not from Asti. When I got to the register, I asked if they had a toasted sandwich and was told "it takes 20 minutes," so I politely asked to see the savory options. I chose a pizza, and the gentleman at the register, I assumed the owner, asked me annoyedly if I wanted it reheated. I asked for a cappuccino and waited at the counter. When I realized that perhaps to sit outside, where I wanted, I should have told them ahead of time, I immediately informed them, and the bartender, looking at the owner, said annoyedly, "The girl sits outside," and he, standing in front of me, replied, "Oh, hey," complete with a grimace and a raised eyebrow. I felt uncomfortable and said that I would have paid extra for the table outside without a problem and that I would bring my own food to the table, to which the owner, in an imperative tone, said, "Go sit down, we'll bring it to you." My cappuccino and pizza are brought to me by two different bartenders, both unsmiling, apathetic, and listless. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone because they ruin your day, TERRIBLE.
