24/11/2025: Review – “Da Erminio” Restaurant, Mombaruzzo (AT) Preface: Reviewing a place where you weren't entirely comfortable is not easy, especially in the restaurant industry, where a significant part of the experience depends on personal taste. It's important to remember that behind every business are dedicated people and families, and that unlucky days or small mistakes can happen to anyone: only those who don't work don't make mistakes. That said, our experience at Da Erminio didn't start off well. Upon arrival, the bar was quite crowded; a waiter asked us what we wanted, and we said we had a reservation for two at noon. He asked us to wait a minute. After a quick visit to the bathroom, we sat down at a table at the bar, but from that point on, no one paid any attention to our presence. Meanwhile, a few more customers entered and were immediately escorted, one after another, to the dining room upstairs, while we remained seated without any instructions, with the waiters unavailable. When one of them reappeared, I tried to get his attention, but to no avail. We then decided to move independently to the dining room; only then were we asked what we wanted and were finally seated. Service began without any explanation or introduction, with traditional Piedmontese appetizers: raw meat, tomino al verde, veal with tuna sauce, and peppers in bagna cauda, ​​presented in rather small portions. The first courses, consisting of cold lasagna pre-portioned on a tray—which gave the impression of having been prepared well in advance—and tagliolini with mushrooms, unfortunately proved unappetizing. While serving the tagliolini, part of the dish spilled onto the napkin, which was stained and the waiter did not replace it. The second courses included a small slice of roast beef and a guinea fowl wing, accompanied by artichokes, Nice cardoon, and caramelized onions. Again, the overall quality was rather modest. As for desserts, the millefeuille and meringue seemed like pre-portioned, industrial products, presented in a way that wasn't particularly appetizing. The coffee didn't stand out either; the chocolate served separately, however, was the only pleasant touch at the end. We drank a bottle of Mombaruzzo red wine and sparkling water, for a total of €45 per person. Considering the overall experience, we believe that higher-quality options are available in the same price range.

05/01/2026: Excellent pizza, friendly owners with a long tradition of making pizza. Their mastery in creating, topping, and baking pizzas using an electric oven makes you forget about a wood-fired oven. Plus, it's very close (a 2-minute walk) to the RV park! Please note: this review has been under new management for only two months.

14/08/2025: The golf course is open to outsiders. Friendly welcome. Clubs can be rented. The gate was closed when we arrived. We almost turned around. Just ring the bell and it opens. We weren't staying at the hotel.

25/07/2025: Nice golf course, actually a 9-hole course, but they advertise 18 holes. The staff is very friendly, there is ample free parking, and it's certainly not expensive.

07/11/2025: What can I say... nothing good, terrible food, long wait, unfriendly staff, no comment. There were six of us, and we ordered a starter, pre-packaged calamari surimi from the discount store. First course, pasta with sauce and mussels, awful. We didn't even try it, we were hoping for fried food, but it was also a disappointment. We were undecided about the classic dessert, bunet and tiramisu, they were tasteless. We were all disappointed. It was home cooking, but perhaps a Caritas dish would be better. It would be better if some places were closed to avoid wasting money. I confirm the previous review.

25/10/2025: The entrance is unassuming, but understandable given its agriturismo status. The restaurant is spacious and beautifully appointed, offering an excellent view of the Asti and Cuneo plains. The service is attentive and courteous, and the dishes are simple yet carefully prepared and authentic. Prices are reasonable. It's a shame there's no set menu. It's worth a visit and a return visit in the summer, as it features a beautiful pool and a terrace that's enviable for its views. A special mention goes to the limited, but understandable, selection of wines produced by the property. Truly excellent.

25/07/2025: A 550 metri di altitudine all’inizio del Monferrato Astigiano. Bella struttura con ampia terrazza coperta dotata di vista panoramica sulla pianura. Pranzo domenicale piuttosto affollato e quindi rumoroso (feste di laurea) con qualche difficoltà a conversare. Il menu la domenica è fisso con piatti nel solco della cucina piemontese. Ottime le materie prime, su tutto la battuta, veramente deliziosa. Tutto buono, senza piatti strabilianti. Unica nota stonata a mio avviso l’unico secondo, un polpettone con patate piuttosto insignificante. L’Agriturismo dispone di una interessante cantina con produzione di vini locali. Servizio giovane, efficiente e cortese nonostante il centinaio di coperti. Sempre offerto il bis, per tutte le portate. Circa 45 € a testa con 2 bottiglie di Albugnano.

02/12/2025: A very welcoming, modern place. We stumbled upon it by chance for lunch and it was a delightful discovery. Their midweek lunch menus, which consist of a single dish with several appetizers, are beautiful to look at and equally delicious to taste. The attention to product quality is evident. The price/quality/quantity ratio is excellent: water and coffee are €15, or €20 with a glass of wine, which is equally good. The staff is friendly and helpful. The à la carte menu also features delicacies from both the sea and the land, from oysters to truffles... we definitely have to return!!!

30/11/2025: If you're taking the bus, be aware of the length of the bus. The streets are narrow and the intersections are at right angles, so you may find yourself in a difficult maneuver!
