30/01/2024: We spent a weekend with friends in the hills. Our friends invited us to this historic restaurant, they had their wedding lunch there years ago. Francesco the owner is a big man who certainly doesn't tell you anything.. Here I saw for the first time what was meant in the past by meat beating, literally with a cloth around his hand and a knurled cutting board under the meat, he punches it!! The meat becomes even softer, excellent and super abundant tasting menu: 6 starters (battue, egg, courgette and parmesan salad, cotechino with fondue) 2 first courses (fresh gnocchi with butter and sage and ravioli with 3 roasts) and 2 second courses (sliced ​​and roasted) not being able to to finish the 3 desserts (bonnet, mint pudding and I don't remember). Unfortunately, a few days after our dinner we received news of the passing of Mr. Francesco. It will remain a unique place, we warmly hope that someone will pass on its entire history.

02/07/2024: Visitando Asti ci siamo fermati dopo un giro turistico, ci è sembrato da subito il posto più intimo e accogliente dove fermarci. 20/09/2023: C'è solo questo da dire su questo ristorante:"un posto in cui si mangia del cibo", giacché non si distingue per alcunché a parte la vista Langhe, che è comunque comune in zona. Cibo mediocre, per nulla speciale, servizio anche. Non è un luogo per giovani o per turisti perché l'atmosfera è quella della casa della nonna, e non nel senso "nostalgico", ma realistico: piatti anni '80 come li farebbe la nonna, generici, con ingredienti economici per risparmiare sulla pensione ed utilizzo improvvisato di qualche ingrediente in modo da far fuori ciò che è quasi terminato in frigo. Ecco, non si paga una cena fuori per un'esperienza identica a quella che si avrebbe dai parenti in una serata qualsiasi... Nè si spreca in questo posto la cena in Langa se si è dei turisti, né si porta una ragazza a cena per "stupirla" così. L'impressione generale data da più dettagli pare dipingere i gestori come tirchi e fermi al passato, non consci di cosa offrono normalmente i ristoranti al giorno d'oggi. Ecco le pochezze riscontrate: 1) Menu assente, carta dei vini assente: il ristorante non ha un menù, nemmeno esposto fuori, la cameriera elenca i piatti a voce e bisogna scegliere sul momento, cosa molto insolita. La scelta è molto ristretta, cosa solitamente positiva perché di solito indica una più alta ricercatezza dei piatti, ma non è questo il caso, il che la rende una mancanza. 2) No lingue: la cameriera non sa le lingue e continua ad elencare i piatti in italiano ai clienti stranieri, che non capiscono. Lo abbiamo visto con 2 tavoli. Menu che appunto non sono neanche scritti e quindi i turisti scelgono un po' a caso, non potendo tradurseli sul telefono. 3) Coperto mediocre: pane e grissini strani, penso riciclati dopo essere stati molto all'aria, oppure semplicemente non buoni affatto, quasi insapori. 4) Servizio strano: la cameriera ha segnato due bevande nell'ordine ma ce ne ha portata solo una da dividere in due, cosa che non ho mai visto altrove e abbiamo dovuto richiedere la seconda esplicitamente (non si è scusata per la "dimenticanza", perché non era una dimenticanza apparentemente, è proprio strano così di suo). 5) Cibo mediocre: tutti i piatti erano preparati con ingredienti di scarsa qualità, dalla pasta in sé ai condimenti, zero spezie, zero presentazione, zero sfizi. Esattamente quello che mangeresti scaldando a casa un pasto pronto. Non fa schifo, ma non vai al ristorante per questo. 6) Cibo abbinato assolutamente a caso e male: tutti i nostri piatti tranne uno erano abbinati in modo molto strano, improvvisato. Abbinamenti che sia stanno male assieme, sia coprono l'ingrediente principe del piatto anziché valorizzarlo. Avevamo l'impressione che avessero combinato le rimanenze del frigo a caso per farle fuori anziché usare degli ingredienti pensati. (Ingredienti peraltro non buonissimi...). Prezzi nella media per la zona, ma secondo me alti per l'offerta. In sostanza, non ci tornerei perché non ne vale la pena. Commestibile, pulito, non fa certo schifo, ma non si vede la ragione per pagare questa esperienza tranquillamente riproducibile a casa in una serata qualsiasi. Usciti annoiati e con domande... Siamo andati ad Asti a prenderci qualcosa di sfizioso poco dopo, per rifarci. "Mah", è il commento che rimane.

12/09/2023: We chose it for a relaxing weekend and we chose well. Mrs. Marta is decidedly hospitable and very discreet. Cozy rooms, with mixed furniture that is dated (some broken handles) and modern in the bathroom. Very very clean environments. We had the room with a four-poster bed, one of which was not very comfortable. Swimming pool and garden of small dimensions but, being reserved only for guests of the structure, more than functional. Deckchairs and not sunbeds. We would have appreciated some waste bins in the outdoor area. Place surrounded by greenery, in a sparsely populated area. Homemade breakfast, sweet and savory, buffet style, plentiful, artisanal and truly tasty. The tart with jam they produce is excellent. The room/annex used is delightful. Very kind and helpful owners, they allowed us to use the structure beyond the check-out time. It's a shame that the adjacent restaurant is temporarily closed. The facility has enormous potential but currently remains underexploited. I must say that we really rested. I recommend it if you want to rest or as a base, no activities offered other than the swimming pool.

26/07/2024: Prima di tutto la gentilezza e l'eleganza sobria del personale, come ormai se ne trova sempre meno. Poi la bellezza del luogo, pochi tavoli ottimamente seguiti. Servizio mai affettato ma sempre attento. La cura nella presentazione e composizione dei piatti. Non tutti i sapori mi sono piaciuti (in particolare alcuni di quelli del menu vegetariano, molto diversi da ciò a cui si è abituati) ma in ogni caso un'esperienza che ancora ci si può permettere almeno sino a che, ahinoi, prenderà la stella. Ottimo l Alta Langa. Gli altri vini in abbinamento meno sorprendenti. Prezzo corretto. Porzioni mignon, astenersi se ciò che si cerca è uscire sazi pagando come in un qualunque ristorante o agriturismo i classici 35 /40 euro.

31/05/2024: Location incantevole sia all'interno che, soprattutto, fuori. Il rapporto qualità prezzo è eccezionale e il menù tradizione che abbiamo mangiato è - da non dare per scontato - davvero molto rispettoso della tradizione. I ravioli di coniglio e il fondente di vitello sono sicuramente i due piatti che abbiamo preferito e, in generale, il livello dei sapori è molto alto ma credo si possa dare ancora qualcosina di più sui dolci. 4,5 pallini sarebbe la mia reale valutazione attuale. Una volta provato anche il menù "sensazioni" potrei passare a 5. Complimenti alla chef Alessia e a tutto il giovane staff. Continuate così!

18/08/2024: The service was so poor!!!! All the people were angry. My family has a summer house not so far, and we know Nizza Monferato very well. When the retaurants are busy, they do not let people inside that can't serve the food. They say only that they are full and not letting you in. And they letted us, we paid for lunch 200 eur and the service was so 😖 😱 The waitress was even pretending that cant see us. So.... if you have plenty of time and patience, you are more than welcome

16/08/2024: Dejlig autentisk italiensk mad i skønne omgivelser. Stedet ligger i bakkerne uden for Bubbio i fred og ro. Der serveres god mad og en smagemenu hvis man vil det hele igennem. Fin og venlig betjening selvom de havde lidt travlt.
