03/11/2024: I give 2 stars only for the wonderful view of the lake and the fortress of Angera, and for the courtesy of the staff. Given that I limit myself to evaluating what I tasted, I must say that I have rarely eaten such a poor first course and starter. We opted to try "local porcini" (as stated on the menu). In such a restaurant you are sure to land on your feet. The appetizer, polenta and porcini mushrooms, a riot of brine mixed with mushrooms that completely covered the flavor of the porcini mushrooms. Pointing this out to the waiter, who kindly asked us "how was it?", we expected that there wouldn't be the same sauce on the tagliolini... We were wrong. Tagliolini covered in a very salty mushroom sauce. A great shame, the outdoor area of ​​the place deserves a lot. We left without even having coffee due to disappointment. Alas, we won't be returning.

02/12/2024: We popped in by chance and had a bottle of bubbles. Despite the unusual time (4pm), the owner took action and prepared a platter for us with cured meats and focaccias. She was helpful and kind the entire time. P.s: he also brought us the icebox (which is now increasingly rare).

27/01/2025: I had the pleasure of trying the hazelnut millefeuille cake from the "Galimberti" pastry shop and I can only express my complete satisfaction. From the first taste, the commitment and quality they put into their products was evident. The pastry was perfectly crunchy and crumbly, while the hazelnut cream was delicate, balanced and rich in flavor without being excessively sweet. One aspect that I particularly appreciated was the freshness of the dessert: each layer was well defined and the overall cake presented itself impeccably. In addition to the quality of the dessert, I also want to underline the kindness and professionalism of the staff, always available and attentive to customer needs. I highly recommend the "Galimberti" pastry shop to anyone looking for quality desserts.

25/01/2025: I was expecting to be better, the food was made in microwave and wasn't fresh, the wine is ok but the customer service is pretty bad, short menu and I think that I was scammed because for a lunch for two people they charged me more than 50 euros.

20/12/2024: Ho assaggiato 4 diversi antipasti, tutti ottimi. Ottimi i Plin, ricordavano quelli della nonna. Un po' deludente il fegato con cipolle, "nervoso". Il fatto che fosse una porzione "esagerata" ha fatto sì che anche scartandone non abbia patito certo la fame. ;-) Ottimo il dessert. Ma si è arrivati al caffè. Ci è stato servito direttamente a tavola dalla teiera di porcellana. Ok. Ma le tazzine erano fredde, e il caffè... pure. A tavola c'era una persona che ama bere il caffè bollente: "E' freddo!" La solita esagerata? Ma gli altri: "Caldo non è!" Io non riesco a bere il caffè bollente, per lo più aspetto qualche momento, stavolta ho assaggiato subito: era tiepido! Penso sui 40 gradi. Non credo sia una caratteristica del locale, forse il cameriere si è perso per strada? Un'altra cosa, non riguardante la cucina, mi ha lasciato perplesso: nel bagno degli uomini la vaschetta dello sciacquone era aperta e per azionare lo scarico bisognava infilare la mano ed azionare una levetta. Probabilmente si era verificato un guasto in mattinata e l'idraulico non era stato in grado di riparlo subito, ma se avessi dovuto gestire io la situazione avrei provvisoriamente interdetto l'uso alla clientela. Per una questione di igiene e di decoro.

03/12/2024: If you like a family environment, typical and homemade food, this is the right place. We were a table of 13 people and we left happy and satisfied. I gave everything a 5 because we had a really good time because it's not a checked paper tablecloth that can make the difference (obviously talking about a restaurant). The owners are really helpful and approachable. And the tapulone, a novelty for me, very good.

19/10/2024: Excellent ice cream, Piero, his staff and above all his ice cream are a guarantee!! I have been his customer since I was a little girl, and his ice cream has always been top! I read reviews that write that the cups/cones are small and expensive, but I think they didn't go to the same ice cream shop... the cups are very full (I say cups because I always get that one but the cones are no different), the ice cream it's of excellent quality (for nothing else the awards it has won for years are certainly not given to it by chance 🤦🏻‍♀️), pino penguin is the best... but I'm biased because I'm in love with it!! The cakes are also delicious!! The price is right for the goodness and quality of the ice cream, but people perhaps don't take into account that in addition to the work behind it, there are raw materials which unfortunately are always increasing, and fixed costs such as energy and premises... so whoever writes that the the cost is a steal, well I suggest the ice cream shop which is on the corner just ahead (without taking anything away) but there is no comparison!! Unfortunately I had to move far away but if I have to eat an ice cream with a capital G that is worthy of being called such I travel 40km every time (or a nice kilo and a half to take away which never hurts) but Piero doesn't fight.. it's as I always suggest he should open a franchise around Italy 🤩

High quality aperitif with excellent choice of wines. Draft beer. Mixed. Weekend dinner with à la carte menu available via QR code.

02/02/2025: We ended up in this restaurant by chance (but luckily) without considering the road which, with the fog that day, scared us a little. But it was 100% worth it, gorgeous! We ate very well at decent prices. The quality of the raw materials was found in every single dish. Very good, highly recommended!

06/01/2025: We went today to eat at Bergamot, it was a nice discovery, I had a warm seafood appetizer which was out of this world, as a first course the ravioli with squid ink were fantastic, I will definitely go back I highly recommend 😋😋

07/02/2025: Very welcoming and well looked after place. The nautical theme is also present in environments outside the dining room, see the bathroom. I had a sandwich with really good prawn tartare, fresh and well balanced with the other ingredients! The bill is adequate for the quality of the food and the service offered! Absolutely must try!
