02/11/2025: I went for lunch with my partner and friends. The meat was good, as were the cheeses. The desserts were the highlight, in my opinion. The wines and liqueurs were also excellent. I recommend this place if you want to eat well.

31/05/2025: Seconda volta in questo ristorante, segno che la prima era stata una buona esperienza. Anche questa seconda è andata bene. Anzi, molto bene. Servizio cordiale e premuroso. Amouse bouche delizioso e pane, credo, fatto in casa (a nostro avviso sul pane avremmo sperato meglio). Abbiamo optato per due portate a testa. Le nostre scelte sono cadute su piatti dai sapori decisi (spiedino di lingua e anguilla, paccheri cacio&pepe gratinati con julienne di asparagi, crocchette di baccalà e filetto di branzino su bisque di crostacei) che solo a scriverne mi stimolano la salivazione. Tempi di attesa perfetti e, dal mio punto di vista, fondamentali per la buona riuscita di un pranzo o una cena. Vini in carta ottimi. Torneremo a Novara per una passeggiata in centro o una salita alla guglia di San Gaudenzio ma solo dopo aver prenotato un’altra volta in questo ristorante. Bravi.

31/05/2025: Sono stato in questo ristorante un giovedì sera a cena. È stata un'esperienza fantastica. Fin dal primo boccone si capisce la ricercatezza e la profondità di sapore dei piatti dello chef. Ho optato per ordinare 3 piatti fuori menù che sono stati uno meglio dell'altro in termini di sapore e presentazione. Servizio eccelso, cortesia e professionalità. Ci tornerò molto volentieri.

24/10/2025: The perfect combination of wine, tasting menu, beautiful weather, and fantastic service. It turned into one of those afternoons where everything just felt right. The food kept coming, course after course, each one full of flavour and paired perfectly with the wines. This place has something special. It’s not only about what you eat and drink, but also how warmly you’re welcomed and how relaxed you feel. It’s not my first visit here, and every time it feels just as good as the last. Grazie e a presto! 🍷

21/10/2025: Beautiful place near Monforte d'Alba. But everything is very impersonal and rather superficial. The tasting menu is very good, but the service is rushed and you feel like a burden. Breakfast is very simple, and the service is reserved and lacks joy. They didn't explain what was on offer; you had to ask for everything yourself. The room is nice and comfortable, but the mattress is bad. Parking is available, but it's a lottery on weekends when the hotel is full with guests in the restaurant. No mention of this being a problem. The reception upon our arrival was also very cold. We didn't feel welcome and won't be coming again.

27/07/2025: During our vacation, we had a fantastic meal here with our two daughters. Local cuisine with delicious dishes in generous portions. Every dish was delicious. The perfect and friendly service from the owner's daughter was especially special. She was incredibly customer-friendly and thoughtful, even when it came to preparing dishes for the children. Service as it should be, but even better because you can see and feel the passion for the restaurant and the food. Perfect!

Io e il mio ragazzo ci troviamo da queste parti per un weekend di spensieratezza ed eccoci a cenare in questa graziosa location con vista, dove abbiamo avuto modo di godere di piatti gustosi, ben fatti e sopratutto ben serviti! Bonus track al simpatico e professionale cameriere! Davvero grazie per questa bella e gentile esperienza.

14/09/2025: Never again. Elegant place, but the table setting is immediately disconcerting. No tablecloth, just a piece of plastic like in the most banal pizzeria. The menu has a QR code, nice and quick, so I scan it and order the first course. No, it's not there, it can happen. I change my order, but this one isn't there either, good, that is, bad, I put down my phone and ask for a list of the available dishes. Tagliatelle with mushrooms, given the time of year, very good. For the second course, I order the roast beef, cold and tasteless, with an equally tasteless sauce and grilled vegetables. I eat the vegetables but leave the meat. For dessert, a Pavlova, berries and Chantilly cream on a meringue base. The meringue is so hard I can't cut it. I leave it. Total €55 without coffee and with a bottle of Grignolino for four.

11/10/2025: A simple ambiance, but honest, very good food, especially pizza 🍕 and a delicious apple pie made by Grandma. A very friendly, family-friendly atmosphere. You immediately feel welcome, and the team knows their (regular) customers. Excellent value for money. Booking in the evening is definitely recommended (ideally in Italian). Simple but great!

10/07/2025: The Caffe itself looks very nice and authentic, but location is mediocre. Although it's in a very center location but the surroundings are uninsuring. The desserts taste good but seemed really overpriced

05/06/2025: Wat een fijn restaurant. Fijne, pure producten. Voor mijn vrouw de Vitello tonato en voor mij de verse pasta met ragout. Daarna voor beiden de perfect klaargemaakte tagliata van de grill. Erbij voor beiden een glas Barbera superieure. Na warme chocolade gebak met twee bolletjes fris ijs. Na koffie met een digestief. Bediening zakelijk maar vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Kortom uitstekend adres wat even buiten de stad ligt. Wij zijn hier nog een maand en komen daarin zeker nog terug.

01/06/2025: Uno dei miei ristoranti preferiti nella zona. Il cibo è squisito, agnolotti e taglierini fatti in casa da Ivano. Un posto informale ma curato. Carta di vino con etichette km zero di grande qualità.

23/05/2025: Nice surprise, we took five pizzas and a farinata, very good, you can feel the quality of the raw materials and the farinata: the best and creamiest I have ever eaten. Many thanks to the very kind staff.

03/08/2025: A cozy bar in the center of Canelli. Excellent aperitifs with a generous, well-curated platter and some pleasantly warm dishes! The quality/price ratio is fair, and the service is discreet, friendly, and fast. Reservations are recommended as it's always very busy, but the atmosphere is cheerful and suitable for everyone.

03/09/2025: The place is welcoming and familiar, we had a table for two with a view of Monviso in the face (exceptional and romantic), very helpful service, good and characteristic food. To return.

17/08/2025: We had lunch at this inn, and even though we'd called in the morning to make the reservation, they took care of it without any problem. The place is reminiscent of Sunday lunch at grandma's house: cozy, welcoming, and delicious. The menu, consisting of five appetizers, one first course, one second course, and one dessert, is very generous, all excellent quality and a fabulous value. The owners are two delightful, friendly, and approachable people, with whom it was a pleasure to chat between courses. It's one of the few places in the area that preserves its traditions, kindness, and love for their work. We'll be happy to visit you again!
