06/08/2025: I was there this evening with my family, the typical Neapolitan setting is very nice, the food is excellent: gnocchetti alla sorrentina, octopus and broccoli rabe, calamarata, aubergine parmigiana, starters: sbirra and seafood guappo, the price is super considering the quality and quantity, the only thing I can recommend is a smile from those who serve these delicacies, plus they are friendly and polite, I want to say, but that typical particularity is missing.

05/08/2025: On a cool evening in Termoli, we chose to dine at La Sbirra, a trattoria that embodies the soul of authentic Neapolitan cuisine. The restaurant is simple, informal, yet welcoming. Here, the decor doesn't matter: it's the heart that counts. And you can taste it. Welcoming us is the owner, a kind and passionate Neapolitan who has made his hospitality his strong point. He's almost terrified of keeping customers waiting, of leaving unexpected guests, but I want to tell him one thing: Art takes its time, and those who come here are not in a hurry. They know that behind every dish there is attention and care. His wife, a daughter of an artist, works in the kitchen, and you immediately sense that the dishes aren't just made: they are lived. There's respect for tradition, for flavor, and for those who sit at the table. Cuisine made with the heart, without compromise. We began with a series of seafood appetizers, served one after the other, all generous and carefully crafted. The octopus tentacles with broccoli rabe were tender, almost melting in the mouth, and the broccoli rabe were fried in true Neapolitan tradition, pre-cooked without boiling, so they'd be available year-round. The baby octopus Luciana-style with crostini was one of the highlights of the dinner: flavorful, balanced, perfect. A dish that, honestly, is hard to find even in Naples made this well. For the first course, a fresh pasta dish with clams, mussels, and scampi: fragrant, perfectly creamed, with fresh, carefully prepared ingredients. Next, a dry, crispy, and abundant mixed fried fish dish with cod, calamari, shrimp, and anchovies—a thoroughly successful second course. Even the details are noteworthy. Our table marker bore Sophia Loren's name, alongside Massimo Troisi. All the tables feature icons of Neapolitan culture, with hand-painted stall-style signs: a simple yet authentic and distinctive idea. The service was attentive, with cutlery changed between courses, a sign of care even in the smallest gestures. And right here, you understand that this isn't just any business: it's a lifestyle choice. To run a place like this, private life inevitably merges with work. And what comes out of it is something that can't be bought or replicated: authenticity. ⸻ A personal note to the owner: Don't fear time. Those who come here know how to wait, because they recognize the value of what you do. And above all: don't change. Stay true, authentic, simple, welcoming. That's what makes you special.

27/06/2025: Nel pieno centro di un caratteristico borgo molisano è situato un grazioso locale caratterizzato da genuinità, cortesia e accoglienza. La passione della famiglia che gestisce il ristorante è pienamente visibile nelle portate proposte, preparate con attenzione, cura e in quantità abbondante. Ottimi gli antipasti di salumi, i primi con pasta fatta in casa e le deliziose bistecche di vitello (allevato dai proprietari) che si tagliano con la sola forchetta. Eccellente il rapporto qualità prezzo.

24/08/2025: We've been to this pizzeria twice, actually once and a half, with two very different experiences. The first time, we had a table of 20 people: appetizers arrived quickly, pizzas and fried foods were truly excellent, but the wait for the pizzas was about an hour and a half. Furthermore, by dessert time, despite a large reservation, there were only three desserts left to share among the 20, which left us a bit disappointed. We decided to return anyway, booking in advance for four adults and a small child (who wouldn't eat; we only asked for a high chair). The day before, they informed us that the inside table was no longer available since the reservation hadn't specified a child, and they offered us an outside table later, despite the forecast for bad weather. I tried to explain that the child wasn't taking up a seat or a place setting, but the staff didn't respond with any attention or courtesy, nor did they apologise for the mix-up (not even a "sorry"). In the end, we were forced to cancel. It's a shame, because the quality of the pizza is worth it, but the management of reservations and customer service could be improved.

Located near the Termoli train station, Il Rosso e il Nero is a restaurant offering traditional Italian cuisine, with a focus on fresh seafood dishes and simple, unseasoned sauces. The atmosphere is inviting and perfect for a relaxing lunch break. The restaurant is well-maintained and the simple decor creates an intimate and pleasant atmosphere, perfect for a break during the day. The service was courteous and prompt, an important aspect for those seeking a hassle-free lunch. The staff was attentive and helpful, without being intrusive. Despite it being a busy time, the wait time between courses was acceptable. The restaurant's atmosphere is quiet and well-maintained, with a welcoming atmosphere that allows you to enjoy lunch in peace. Its location makes the restaurant easily accessible and well-connected. Il Rosso e il Nero's cuisine is undoubtedly its strong point. We chose fresh fish dishes, which were very tasty and well-prepared, though not abundant. The multi-course menu was recommended to us by the owner, Giovanni. The quality of the ingredients is evident, with fresh fish and well-balanced flavors. One aspect to consider is that, instead of serving individual dishes, the dishes were brought on shared trays. This may not be ideal for those who prefer individual portions, especially in a lunch setting where people have varying appetites. The portions, while not generous, are just satisfactory, but may not be enough for those looking for a more substantial lunch. The drinks were up to par, with a good house Falanghina wine in a jug that paired well with the dishes. The desserts served at the end of the meal were a welcome addition, although some would have preferred fruit or ice cream. Coffee and liqueurs were also offered on the menu. However, the price of €45 per person, including raw ham and mini appetizers, doesn't justify the freshness of the ingredients, and the small portions might not satisfy those looking for a more substantial meal. However, for a quality lunch break, it's definitely worth considering. In conclusion, Rosso e il Nero is a solid choice for those looking to enjoy fresh fish in an elegant but not overly formal setting. Despite the small portions and tray system, the quality of the food and the relaxed atmosphere make it a great place for a refined lunch in Termoli. I recommend it to anyone looking for a light and tasty lunch break.

29/07/2025: A super little restaurant, so delicious. Hot and cold antipasti were easily enough for four people. We only had the antipasti. The warm focaccia, served warm, was simply fantastic. The service was very friendly. Air-conditioned, but the drinks weren't served very cold, but the wine was still good. Reservations are recommended. Cheap and good, well worth it.

23/08/2025: Speaking of the beach club, I was truly shocked. Bumbrellas stuck together, loungers crammed together, and zero space between them. The bar service was forgettable: pre-packaged sandwiches and coffee served in paper cups with plastic stirrers (they don't even serve it like that to hospital patients anymore...). Oh, I forgot: if you use sweetener, bring your own; they don't even have that.

30/08/2025: It was absolutely one of the most delicious meals I've ever tasted. The food is fresh, with a unique flavor. The prices are absolutely reasonable for the quality of the dishes, and the staff is kind, helpful, and always ready to give you a smile. Maria, in particular, was able to pamper us and offer advice throughout the meal, and Fabio, the owner, made us feel at home right away. The mixed raw fish appetizer was truly delicious. The plum cake is truly unique, a must-try! Finally, the 3-tartare option lets you choose the fish from those listed on the menu. Fair prices and balanced portions. If you're passing through Termoli and don't stop by this place, you don't know what you're missing!
