14/08/2024: Rustic restaurant in the center of Ascoli. The menu offers typical cuisine for tourists and the dishes are also rustic, all decent and quite good. Good Ascoli olives but I have eaten better ones. The only flaw in August is that you can't put so many people in a place with very little air conditioning... we were dead from the heat and maybe that's also why we couldn't fully enjoy the cuisine.

12/07/2024: In a secluded position but not far from the centre, the place is tastefully furnished with 'poor' materials, vintage objects, hanging aphorisms of various lengths and shelves with musical references to years gone by. Informal and welcoming, just as the mother and son who run it are informal and welcoming. The menu that was delivered to us is land-based, rather limited. The house starter is decent, consisting of ham, cheese, chickpeas with tomato - special -, peppers with melted cheese and an unusual pasta omelette. Good bread toasted with oil and salt accompanies the meal, as often happens in the restaurants of San Benedetto del Tronto. The choice of the two diners excluded the first courses and fell on the browned rabbit, served in the crock, and on the turkey breast in tomato and cheese sauce. All washed down with half a local rosé wine. Closing with excellent homemade sweet biscuits and excellently interpreted trifle. Account with a good quality/price ratio. Higher demands for taste and charm would probably find the venue not up to par. Unfortunately, I took off a star because the boss, when paying, asked us if we wanted the receipt. Which, to this day, still seems mandatory to me.

24/08/2024: Very good food, we had a very good time despite the confusion (the place is very popular...) Absolutely recommended, try the traditional dishes such as ciavarro or the millet bake. Generous portions, high quality.

28/07/2024: Trattoria on the sea, which is not on the sea, sea view only for a few. We book a table on the terrace, they cordially tell us 9.15pm-9.20pm. We arrive a little early, and the owner with uncommon arrogance and rudeness tells us that many people still have to arrive, if there is plenty of room at the time of the reservation otherwise it's not his fault (not like these ways , worse). At 9.07pm they tell us that a table has become free and the owner is acting like a joker "and it's only 9.07pm" We order dinner, the staff is a little slow, the waiter is friendly even if the staff is few and not always up to par. The lady taking the orders was also a little rude, always ready to have the dish taken away, as if it were an F1 grand prix. We order 2 desserts and only one arrives, the waiter claims that we ordered them at 2 different times. The food is honest, nothing transcendental, a few dishes cooked well and this is the only positive note.

13/08/2024: We stayed and had dinner one night to break up the journey to Puglia. Surprisingly we found a quiet environment with young and very professional staff. Fine cuisine with excellent quality products, simple but very clean rooms. We also took advantage of it when we returned. They assigned us another room with a nice terrace overlooking the sea. This room was not equipped with an air conditioner but only a fan, however towards the evening the cool breeze brought its benefit! The bathroom and shower in this room perhaps a little sacrificed, but the value for money is good.

06/08/2024: Nice place and you can see it immediately, you eat well without exaggerating with unnecessary quantities, but the best aspect is the service provided by young and capable guys. Sincere congratulations
