17/07/2025: Modern, welcoming, and clean place. Excellent food: we generally recommend the fried foods and cod! Special mention goes to the entire staff and the owner, who were truly kind and friendly. There was a small mix-up with one dish, and they offered a sweet and sour drink: that's how it should always be done. Well done! The wines are also excellent. Fair prices. Highly recommended.

18/07/2025: It could be better, but it's actually awful. Let's start with the location: the interior floor was ruined and stained, the open kitchen hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in a while, but the outdoor patio was nice. The menu wasn't accurately described, the tiramisu wasn't really tiramisu but mascarpone cream drowned in coffee caramel, with a bowl of liquid chocolate on the side and a puff pastry that didn't look homemade (but I could be wrong) sitting inside. The gnocchi with ragù seemed to be made with canned ragù, the spaghetti with mullet bottarga, sea urchins, and oysters weren't of the highest quality or quantity, but the flavor was appreciable. The service lacked customer service. The maître d' served only the seemingly wealthiest customers and lacked the attention to detail expected in a restaurant of this type. The only person who stood out was the waiter taking our orders. He was extremely friendly and even greeted us when we left. He was the only one who stood out for his friendliness and professionalism. The bill was not commensurate with the quality of the restaurant, too high for the setting and significantly inflated for the quality of the food.

15/08/2025: A very nice restaurant in a beautiful little square, with very friendly staff and excellent food. We were walking the great ring of Ascoli Piceno villages, and to refuel after a long day in the sun, we ate and drank practically the entire menu, spending a very reasonable amount! Highly recommended!

12/07/2025: Quando tra gli antipasti, l’irrinunciabile set del Tropical, ti trovi un tortino di alici, fiori di zucca, ricotta in salsa di zucchine, ti rendi conto che non parli di un semplice seppure ragguardevole ristorante, ma di qualcosa in più dove la differenza la fa la vocazione alla sperimentazione del proprietario, Tonino, con il quale puoi passare un dopocena a parlare della storia della cucina a 360 gradi, alta cucina e cucina casalinga. Per questo andare al Tropical significa farsi accompagnare da Tonino, certi di essere in mani che hanno cuore la tua soddisfazione. Le pannocchie, il polipo in salsa di patate, un gazpacho con gamberetti, la “carbonara di mare “ con uova di pesce, un’ottima millefoglie e un fresco Malvasia, ci hanno regalato una bellissima serata e come clienti abituali, una conferma di eccellenza.

03/05/2025: Andavo ai bagni tropical quando i miei figli erano piccoli e ogni tanto frequentavo il ristorante . Sono stato mercoledì 30 aprile di passaggio e devo dire che il ristorante è rimasto come allora: pesce fresco, antipasti diversi da allora ma fantastici, pesce freschissimo proposto in modo originale. L’unica frittura che riesco a digerire è questa. Da provare assolutamente e fidatevi dei consigli del titolare ..

06/09/2025: Passing by with my wife, we found this little restaurant by the sea. SURPRISE!! Their seafood dishes are different from the usual tourist fare, well prepared, delicious, and carefully prepared. The calamari and fried green tomatoes are delicious. The only small flaw: Tagliolini with pecorino cheese, shrimp, and lemon. I recommend much less pecorino cheese because it covers the flavor of the shrimp. The location by the sea is beautiful, and the staff are very friendly. The price is fair. MUST TRY!!

26/08/2025: I've been to this chalet numerous times and have always found the service impeccable. The food is excellent, beautifully presented. The service is professional and attentive, and the place is very charming and well-kept. The owner is always available and warm, and even though we had our two small dogs, he welcomed us without a problem. I highly recommend it; it's one of the best restaurants in Porto San Giorgio!!! A guarantee!

11/08/2025: A wonderful discovery in Ascoli Piceno! It was a real surprise. The food is exceptional: every detail is carefully crafted, creating a perfect blend of flavors. What I appreciated most was the ability to customize the menu based on your preferences: there's a fixed price for each option, which varies based on what's included. Everything is excellent, from the dishes to the wines, which are truly excellent. The atmosphere is pleasant, even in the outdoor area, and the staff is super friendly. We'll definitely be back!

23/08/2025: Prices are average, but the food is very, very, very poor! We came after mid-August and figured the menu was specially designed for the high season, but taking advantage of tourists like this is absolutely not right! You won't see us again.

16/08/2025: The food was good, but the staff was POOR! 1. The waiters were distracted and inattentive. We waited almost 20 minutes sitting down with menus in hand before anyone even bothered to let us order, and every time we asked, they told us their colleague was on his way. (And it was 9:40 PM, the restaurant was almost empty.) 2. I ordered a double appetizer but then changed my mind, telling the waitress that if it hadn't been prepared, I wouldn't have wanted it; if it was ready, I'd take it (I don't like waste). She said she'd ask but never come back, so another waiter came and asked me about the dish and told me that if I didn't want it, he wouldn't have done anything, that it was no problem. 3. We asked for the bill, which always took forever to arrive, and we saw the full price of the dish we didn't want. We asked for an explanation, and they gave us a €3 discount, which wasn't fair because they should have taken €7 off us. I chased the waiter again, and he sent me to the owner (the rudest and most impolite person I've ever met), who treated me rudely and nagged me, telling me he'd thrown my plate away and that he'd already given me the €3 discount! Speechless, I explained about the waitress, and he continued to nag and nag me, saying he'd already taken my plate away and what more could I ask for? I replied, "Politeness and kindness," and he railed at me, cursing under his breath... truly speechless! All I have to say is, you'll never see us again! It's a shame, because the food was good! But if this job isn't for you, forget it!

22/08/2025: I was absolutely blown away by my experience at this restaurant. Let me start by saying that my companions ate well and enjoyed it, but I didn't. I had ordered a veal tagliata with garden vegetables and a cream soup: the menu didn't specify what the vegetables or the cream soup contained. Unfortunately, among the vegetables were peppers, to which I'm allergic. I politely asked if it was possible to make the tagliata without the peppers: I was immediately told no. So I suggested replacing the vegetables with something else: again, no. I even asked to at least bring me the meat alone, without any side dish: still no! Basically, I wasn't even allowed a simple grilled tagliata, let alone any other dish. Only after everyone else had already eaten was I told they could have the meat... but strictly on its own, without any side dish. No potatoes, no salad, nothing. And the worst part? That "sad" meat on the plate was charged full price, without taking a single euro off, even though we had also paid for the starter dish, which my friends had left. I find this behavior absurd and extremely serious: a complete lack of consideration for a declared allergy, no willingness or courtesy to accommodate a customer, no consideration whatsoever for the bill. I will never return, and I certainly won't do this place any favors.

21/08/2025: We dined on a late August evening and had a great time. The staff were friendly and always available, the vegetarian options from appetizers to main courses, the ingredients excellent, and the pasta handmade. You pay fairly for the quality of the dishes, but there are no surprises because each dish is clearly priced. We did have a slight oversight on the wine, which was €2 more expensive when we got the bill. We only noticed it after we left, but it was probably due to a lack of price updating on the digital menu or an unwanted error. The atmosphere is beautiful, rustic, and suitable for all occasions.

13/08/2025: The pizza is delicious, but the other dishes are equally delicious. The service is prompt and attentive. The service is split into two sittings, but without any particular "anxiety."
