04/04/2024: I spent a few hours working there on my computer, excellent service and friendly, smiling staff! Drink and eat quality!

10/08/2024: Hotel itself is nothing special. not too bad nor very good. if you want to use it as just an option for passing the night its not bad. Food isn‘t special either. Cuisine is not too bad but pizza is imo quite below average italian pizzas. What was very good though were the young people from the staff; very forthcoming, helpfull and polite. while on the complete contrary the staff that is a little older is just bad. very inattentive to customers (took us 20 minutes to get an order for beverages placed on the first lunch although we were the only custumors during that time) very unprofessional handling of critique by customers: one lady was not happy with being moved from a table for 4 people while her and her husband were only 2. 10 minutes later another couple of only 2 people took the same table and no one told them to move. so she told the waiter that she was not happy with this and he told her that its just what it is and when she left he said to his coworker in italian that she could foff so that she could still hear it. pretty rude and unprofessional imo. hotel is though very well situated, everything you need is in walking distance and public transport to the cable car as well easy accessible.

27/07/2024: Conoscevo il garden quando 15 anni prima era da solo ( non dentro l'hotel alpina). Cosa dire: ottima qualità, buono il servizio, ma il fatto che sia aperto no stop, inevitabilmente lo fa ricadere nei locali super turistici dove non c'è la dovuta attenzione. Giudizio comunque positivo. Tagliolini al cervo top.

21/08/2024: Restaurant/Pizzeria which is a certainty for the quality of the food. The pizzas are by far among the best in Sondrio both in terms of dough (leavened for 70 hours) and taste. Absolutely try the freshly made sorbets. Quiet atmosphere almost like a refuge.

08/07/2024: We stopped here on our bike tour in the area for a good pasta dinner to recover some energy :). WHAT AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! The food is delicious and "modern", meaning you can find a good old carbonara and pizzas on their menu, but you can also be more curious and taste combinations you haven't seen on the menus before. We really loved it and would go back for the food anytime. But the highlight was the attentive, friendly and fun service of the owner. He makes you feel like you are his favorite guests ever, and that is so rare and precious nowadays! Thank you, You do your job EXTREMELY well! We hope to be back in the area one day to have the great dinning experience with you again! Dominika and Joel ("the Englishman from Canada" ;))

04/07/2024: After a decent walk from the Fraele Towers, an excellent lunch of a typical dish based on polenta, venison salmi and sautéed mushrooms

14/08/2024: Excellent place for relaxation. Excellent menus. Owner, daughter and staff are nothing short of wonderful... I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to escape from the chaos of the city. Family run and in fact I found myself pampered like family...👍

20/07/2024: Frequentiamo la Valmalenco da tanti anni e Chiareggio e’una meta del cuore.Il ristorante “Ai portoni”,accanto alla caratteristica chiesetta, e’per noi una tappa fissa: ottime pietanze servite con cordialità ed attenzione.Consigliato vivamente.
