Bar Ristorante Pizzeria Muffoletto In Ceriale

I updated my review after dining here on both May 1st and 2nd, 2026, and unfortunately, the experience was decidedly disappointing. I'll start by saying that the quality of the food is beyond question: what we ate was good. But everything else leaves much to be desired. The place was packed (even though it's not yet the height of summer season), but that doesn't justify such disorganized service. Slow service, forgetful and inattentive waiters: confusing orders, wrong dishes, and completely out of control timing. Of the four entrees ordered, two arrived after an hour and the other two after another 15 minutes... the result? Everyone ate on their own. Unacceptable. Also on May 1st, they brought us two portions of fries while we were still waiting for our entrees... completely nonsense. As for desserts: we ordered profiteroles on the first night and they were served with three cream puffs. The next night, the exact same dessert... but with two cream puffs, at the same price. Zero consistency. Details that make the difference: for fries, you always have to ask for mayonnaise and ketchup; nothing is brought spontaneously. The waiters' uniforms are practically nonexistent, so much so that they blend in with the customers. But the worst comes at the end: it's unacceptable to start clearing the table while we're still seated just to make room for other customers. If at 10:30 PM we were still waiting for four coffees that never arrived, it's only due to your disorganization. One waitress completely forgot to tell them, as well as a tiramisu that never arrived. More attention, more organization, and above all, more passion for this job is needed. Because if this is the service during a long weekend at the beginning of the season, I can't imagine what could happen in August. There's so much room for improvement. Review August 2025 One of the most popular pizzerias/restaurants in Ceriale, I've dined there in previous years, and it didn't disappoint. Excellent service with top-quality products. Hospitality and courtesy are the hallmarks. Prices are average compared to other competing establishments. Excellent cleanliness. The photos show the high quality of the food, even the entrees are plentiful and excellent. I always recommend making a reservation, especially in the summer, as it's always busy. The restaurant is located on the seafront promenade, with tables right on the street, which can be a bit annoying when people walk by and look at your food. There's little privacy. All in all, it's worth at least one dinner during your stay in Ceriale (Savona).

We arrived a little late, asking if it was still possible to have lunch. They were kind and polite, welcoming us immediately, but unfortunately, we didn't appreciate the food. I ordered a fillet steak with a side of vegetables, and my plate of vegetables arrived 10 minutes before the meat, so they got cold, and the meat was unfortunately really tough. My companion ordered ravioli with shrimp ragù, but unfortunately the ragù consisted only of red sauce and a few shrimp, so it wasn't a ragù. We appreciate the courtesy, but the food doesn't quite live up to the price.

I dined here three nights in a row. I had salmon with fresh artichokes the first night, tuna steak with sesame seeds the second, and I wanted to try the pizza the third. I have to compliment the entire staff; I was satisfied every night; everything was very good and well-prepared. What can I say? I'll definitely be back and will recommend it to everyone I know. I recommend making a reservation.

You eat quite well but you wait too long, really too long

Very nice restaurant and excellent food. Four of us ate enough to fill us up and paid a fair price.

Excellent food, especially seafood, kind and attentive staff, superb chef, tasty and plentiful dishes, also for vegans and vegetarians (the chef takes personal interest), excellent pizzas, the one with artichokes exceptional, a lovely discovery, thank you!

We ate the mixed fried fish, delicious, a friend had the pizza and it was excellent, we tried it... and what can I say about the staff and owner, they are on the ball and friendly...

We had a great time, good food, generous portions, average prices... friendly and fast service... we will definitely be back

Well... I went there for lunch with friends. We hadn't booked, but the kind waitress found us a seat right away. I ordered a scialatiello allo scoglio (seafood scialatiello), which arrived very quickly. The presentation was beautiful, and the portion was good, but the quality wasn't up to par. The scialatielli were stuck together, and the fish tasted too "frozen." The amount of oil was overwhelming.
