09/05/2026: We arrived at the same time as another couple. We waited half an hour for someone to take our order, but no one came. When we left, we saw that the people who had arrived at the same time as us were being served (appetizers and pizzas). We had specifically made a reservation to ensure we were served.

16/04/2026: Very nice place. That's about it. Service is very slow. There's a lot of pasta, but it's the cheapest kind, and the sauces are also clearly cheaply made. They're just trying to feed lots of tourists on the cheap. Better to go further inland to restaurants with homemade food. Even the two other restaurants nearby are significantly better. Update from yesterday: if someone doesn't want to eat, they put an empty plate next to them and demand the cover charge. I've never experienced such rudeness. I won't be trying again!

07/07/2026: A tiny shop that, instead of focusing on bread, offers too many products, displayed in a haphazard manner. I asked for ciabatta or durum wheat bread, but had to settle for white bread because they only make "special bread" on Saturdays. Among the purchases was a truly disappointing turtle loaf, with a soggy crust and a dry crumb with fine bubbles from baking powder. Bread prices are not displayed.

08/02/2026: Some people might think this pizza is a devil's devil pizza with chips... and the pizza chef probably thought the same thing. In fact, he decided to give me a simple devil's devil pizza and put chips on my partner's pizza, who... didn't want them. It's no big deal, we did the pizza chef's job... 20/07/2026: We had lunch at this restaurant today, it's Monday and I believe it's the only restaurant open in this area. Terrible service, apparently it was the owner of the establishment who served us, we asked for 2 high chairs for our babies and they didn't bring them, we had to go get them wherever we could find them. It's over 30 degrees and the drinks were warm. The first course wasn't bad, we ordered linguine alla bolognese, but it wasn't excellent either. The second course was grilled chicken and it tasted burnt. Total of 2 set menus, 0.5 liters of white wine and a 750ml water €46.00. We will not return.

20/07/2026: We went for lunch today and the experience was bad. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a lady who seemed to be the owner of the restaurant, not at all friendly. They seated us at a table that wasn't even ready. We asked for two chairs for our children, and they didn't bring them; my husband had to get them. One of them was dirty, so we only used one. It was very hot, and the drinks we ordered were warm. The Bolognese pasta wasn't good, nor bad, it was okay. The grilled chicken breast tasted burnt. The service at the time of payment was also bad. The same lady barely responded with a thank you. The atmosphere itself is good. Clean bathroom. Price of the fixed menu €15.50 with 1st, 2nd course and side dish + €1.50 "coperto" (for using the space).

29/07/2026: Incredible! The best 4 euros ever spent! Go without hesitation, the ice cream is delicious, creamy, and homemade. Honestly, I'm disappointed that we don't have the same expertise in France!

14/08/2026: We went for breakfast and a snack: spectacular views overlooking the sea near the little church of Sant'Ampelio. Generous brioches filled with Nutella and jam, friendly and attentive service with glasses of water to accompany cappuccinos and biscuits, clean bathrooms: nothing better to start a beautiful day in Bordighera. The violet ice cream is unique.

13/08/2026: Very bad experience at La Réserve in Bordighera. We came today as 6 people, with a 4-year-old daughter, and frankly, the reception was really bad. We waited about 15 minutes at the entrance, in full heat, without anyone coming to see us. However, several servers and managers walked past us several times, without saying hello, without looking at us and without even asking us what we wanted. We clearly felt like we were being ignored. After 15 minutes of waiting, we had to go and ask ourselves if we could have a table. We were simply told: “No, it is not possible. » No apology for the wait, no explanation, nothing. We can completely understand that a restaurant is full or that there is no room for 6 people. But letting customers wait 15 minutes without even saying hello, especially with a 4-year-old child in the heat, is not normal. It was enough to simply come to see us from the start and tell us that there was no room. It would have taken 30 seconds. We found the reception very cold, very rude and not at all professional. We therefore left very disappointed and with a very bad image of this restaurant. We will not be returning and we clearly do not recommend it. ⸻ Bad experience at La Riserva di Bordighera. 10/07/2026: After traveling all that way to eat at this restaurant, we arrived at 8:09 PM on July 9th and were refused entry. Not very friendly.

30/07/2026: €6 for a beer is way too expensive for a bar :( We actually went there for food, but unfortunately there wasn't any. The locals had some focaccia, but we only got chips. The price-performance ratio isn't right. What a shame.

29/06/2026: We booked inside after two phone calls to confirm there was air conditioning (which was found broken)!!! It was infernally hot, then we were immediately served prosecco without an ice bucket, and the food still hadn't arrived. So we drank it hot!!! The rostelle finally arrived... wrong because we specified liver and the others arrived.... the price means we ended up paying for the ones we returned because there wasn't even a receipt!! My fault for not asking!!

12/08/2026: This McDonald's is such a dump it's hard to describe. No air conditioning in August, everything is terribly dirty, the kids' area is full of pigeon poop, and cigarettes are thrown on the floor in front of the slide, we threw away the uneatable fries. Five years ago I wrote a wonderful review, but over the years this place has gotten so bad it should be closed down.

11/08/2026: The only McDonald's in the world, visited in Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and the USA, that doesn't have air conditioning when it's 39 degrees outside. How can you eat in these conditions?
