19/10/2025: Discovered by chance today. Authentic Genoese dishes, delicious and light! I hadn't had such pesto mandilli in years, not to mention the Ligurian-style rabbit! The view is magnificent and the attentive staff treated us like family... What can I say, we'll definitely be back!
08/09/2025: Excellent venue with a fabulous location. We attended a wedding there and had a wonderful time. The dishes are excellent and elaborate.

15/11/2025: We had delicious pinsa at this charming establishment! This was the only place in town where we could find food even at 6:30 pm, even with a big appetite, and we weren't disappointed! The menu was extensive, the pinsa arrived relatively quickly, and the prices were reasonable. Pinsa is much easier to digest than pizza and much lighter on the stomach, making it a very pleasant evening meal because it's still filling. The service was friendly. I would eat here again!

14/07/2025: Situato in una stradina parallela al budello principale di Cogoleto questo ristorante, dall’esterno, non vi colpirà particolarmente con insegne luminescenti o cartelli pubblicitari ma, appena entrati, vi sentirete un po’ come a casa vostra. Non posso non partire dalla signora Ada, la vera storia di questo locale. Ci accoglie come fossimo degli abituè, amici di famiglia, vicini di casa. Ed è proprio così che ci si sente dopo qualche minuto passato insieme. La spiegazione dettagliata del menù non è la solita tiritera di piatti, ingredienti o elenco di materie prime … ogni piatto ci viene descritto insieme alla sua storia, i suoi aneddoti, la ricetta, il modo di come la signora Ada (o semplicemente Ada come lei vuole essere chiamata) lo cucina a casa sua. Questa accoglienza, così diversa da qualsiasi posto che ho frequentato in tutti questi anni, mi ha fatto innamorare di questo posto prima ancora di assaggiare una qualsiasi pietanza e ho già, sorprendentemente, l’acquolina in bocca. Siamo in quattro e ognuno di noi prende uno starter diverso. Il guazzetto di muscoli (cozze per i non Liguri), il Cenonno composto da una serie di piattini con assaggi mare e monti, caldi o freddi, polpo e patate, mentre io scelgo il piatto che avevo già visto sul loro sito web: code di gamberi avvolti nel lardo d’Arnad con stracciatella di burrata, semplicemente spaziali, cotti alla perfezione, con materie prime di altissima qualità, sono entrati di prepotenza nella mia personalissima top 10 di piatti più buoni mangiati nella mia vita ! Qui Ada, ci grazia della ricetta “casalinga” di questo piatto, semplicissima, rapidissima ma con ingredienti che devono essere necessariamente di ottima qualità ! Proseguiamo questa esperienza culinaria eccezionale, con i ravioli di burrata con pomodorini, basilico e acciughe di Cetara, delicatissimi, preparati alla perfezione e cotti al dente come piacciono a me. Finiamo con la “Tavolozza di dolci” tutti provenienti dalla Campania e Sicilia, uno più buono dell’altro. Io però ho scelto la delizia al limone tutta per me e ho fatto bene in quanto era veramente troppo golosa per condividerla con qualcuno. Di una cosa sono convinto adesso, il ristorante Nonno Cuoco è sicuramente la mia prima scelta a Cogoleto.
13/07/2025: Located on a narrow street parallel to the main street of Cogoleto, this restaurant may not particularly impress you from the outside with its neon signs or advertising, but as soon as you enter, you'll feel a little at home. I can't help but start with Signora Ada, the true story of this place. She welcomes us as if we were regulars, family friends, neighbors. And that's exactly how you feel after spending a few minutes together. The detailed explanation of the menu isn't the usual rigmarole of dishes, ingredients, or a list of raw materials... each dish is described to us along with its history, its anecdotes, the recipe, and the way Signora Ada (or simply Ada, as she prefers to be called) cooks it at home. This welcome, so different from any other place I've frequented in all these years, made me fall in love with this place before even tasting a single dish, and my mouth is already, surprisingly, watering. There are four of us, and we each choose a different starter. The mussel stew (mussels for non-Ligurians), the Cenonno, a series of small plates with hot and cold seafood and mountain appetizers, octopus, and potatoes, while I chose the dish I'd already seen on their website: shrimp tails wrapped in Arnad lard with burrata stracciatella. Simply out of this world, cooked to perfection, with the highest-quality ingredients, it's now firmly in my personal top 10 of the best dishes I've ever eaten! Ada, please share the "homemade" recipe for this dish—very simple, very quick, but with ingredients that must be top-quality! We continue this exceptional culinary experience with burrata ravioli with cherry tomatoes, basil, and Cetara anchovies—delicate, perfectly prepared, and cooked al dente, just the way I like them. We finish with the "Palette of Desserts," all sourced from Campania and Sicily, each one better than the last. I, however, chose the lemon delight all for myself, and I was right to do so, as it was truly too delicious to share. One thing I'm now convinced of: Nonno Cuoco is definitely my first choice in Cogoleto.

04/05/2025: È la terza volta che torno a distanza da due anni dall’ultima volta ed è sempre una conferma. Oggi abbiamo provato due piatti fuori menú da perdere la testa: trippa e tagliatelle al ragú di anatra. Menzione d’onore al dolce che era davvero strepitoso, un creme caramel fuori da comune, elaborato e buonissimo.
21/04/2025: Belle decouverte en ce lundi de Pàques..Visite prevu de ce joli village italien et decouverte de ce petit restaurant qui proposait un menu de Pâques et sans avoir réservé nous avons pu y dejeuner et nous regaler de ces bons produit .Ce pain maison delicieux..Tres bonne adresse

09/11/2025: As soon as we walked in, Sunday lunchtime at 1:30 PM, they told us there were no tables available (absolutely false, we could see them) but we heard one of the waitresses say not to let anyone in anymore. Terrible, they don't want to work!!!!!
16/10/2025: Today we went to Roadhouse in Sarzana for lunch. The place is clean and tidy, but almost empty—and after eating, we understood why. We ordered two Wok dishes: one with chicken and stir-fried vegetables, the other with beef and vegetables. Unfortunately, both were truly disappointing and inedible. The vegetables seemed overcooked, mushy, and had an unpleasant smell. The meat didn't seem freshly cooked, but rather reheated, and the sauces were overly sweet and cloying. Final bill: two bowls, a bottle of water, and two covers for a total of €39. Honestly, too high for the quality. Disappointing experience, terrible value. Not recommended, avoid.

06/11/2025: A restaurant near the center of Sarzana offering daily and à la carte menus. A good selection of dishes; I had spaghetti allo scoglio for lunch. It tasted good, but the seafood was a bit limited. Average value for money.
30/10/2025: We stumbled upon this restaurant on our way down from the Sarzanello Fortress. We'd noticed it while driving by. On our way back, we stopped in, and it was a wonderful surprise. Friendly staff, excellent food, and a pleasant location. Highly recommended. Excellent value.

16/07/2025: Questo posto è perfetto per una serata un po’ diversa e per godersi dei panigacci ottimi e non solo. Testaroli e pansotti al sugo di noci davvero ottimi e lo stesso vale per panigacci, affettati e formaggi. Servizi ottimo veloce e accogliente. Ottima esperienza

La Playa 1979


13/09/2025: I went with my partner to enjoy the beach and have a good time. I settled down quietly on the right side of the beach. A man finally told me that it was a private beach and that the left side was not private. Respectfully, I moved to the left side of the beach, on the Playa 79 section. I'd barely settled in when the lifeguard at Playa 79 came over to me to tell me, once again, that it was a private beach. I calmly asked him where the sign or marker indicating this prohibition was. He told me he would call his manager. That's when a woman arrived, extremely rude and aggressive, speaking to us as if we were nothing. Knowing that I didn't speak Italian, I tried to communicate in English, but she didn't care at all. At one point, another man, very aggressive, approached me directly and began insulting me violently. As a French tourist, I wasn't aware that so-called "private" beaches existed with such aggressive behavior and no clear signage. So I packed my bags and went straight to the nearest police station to file a complaint against the Playa 79 staff—specifically, against this woman and man who seem to believe they are above the law. This kind of treatment is unacceptable, especially in a supposedly tourist-friendly area.

The staff was friendly, the meat was good, but even though we were among the first customers for lunch and the dining room was almost empty, the dishes arrived cold. For the quantity served, the prices were decidedly high, and the bathrooms, broken and not very clean, looked like the toilets at a train station.

13/10/2025: A well-known restaurant with consistently delicious, well-crafted dishes. Reasonable value for money. Excellent dinner sitting outside in the small alleyway. It's a shame that, since the tables aren't covered, a pigeon didn't try to ruin my dinner, just my shirt! First course with squid ink and fried seafood with a few vegetables.
07/10/2025: We ate here for the first time. We all chose pasta – there were also vegetarian options. All the dishes were delicious. All three of us enjoyed them very much. The tiramisu at the end was also delicious. We sat inside because it was a bit chilly outside; we had a lovely, cozy, and delicious evening. Allergies were well catered for. We would come back.
