02/01/2026: Family lunch in Santo Stefano. The owners and staff were welcoming, kind, and helpful. The place was pleasant and quiet. The dishes were well-cooked. Good value.

14/12/2025: On the slopes of Mount Gazzo, in Sestri Ponente (Genoa), a beautiful, spacious restaurant with ample parking. Excellent hospitality and service, delicious traditional Ligurian food with home-style cooking. Excellent for large groups (like mine), with a complete meal that's sure to please everyone. Excellent attention to customer needs, especially regarding intolerances and allergies.

24/08/2025: It's located in a difficult-to-reach location due to very narrow, winding roads. Next to the villa, there are only houses and very narrow streets. We arrived 30 minutes early and were denied access, not even to turn the car around. They literally locked us in the gate and forced us to maneuver several times to turn the car around. Obviously, given the location and the terrible and rude welcome, we canceled the reservation. It's the typical Ligurian welcome you see in many comedy shows, which, unfortunately, has become reality. I'm ashamed to be Ligurian. What a shame.

07/09/2025: It's been a go-to place for the whole family for years! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The menu is varied, and the pizzas and focaccias are excellent. And the value is excellent! It's a shame the place has now had to move and has just closed in Alassio. We'll miss it!

01/01/2026: A simply fantastic experience. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect, from the table setting to the quality of the olive oil and bread served. The fish, naturally ultra-fresh, is immediately distinctive in its aroma and flavor. The staff is friendly and attentive! The owner is pleasant, welcoming, and friendly: one of those restaurants you haven't seen in a while. The pasta dishes were excellent and generously portioned: the pesto, with its bright color and intense aroma, was clearly made that morning, while the penne with salmon was top-notch. The complimentary coffee was very welcome. The value for money is sensational. I can't wait to return. (I highly recommend the place to both romantic and party-goers.)

18/10/2025: What a shame. It used to be so beautiful here. We've been coming back on and off for 23 years. But this was probably the last time. Not that the food is bad. But putting a slice of meat on a plate without anything else on it just isn't acceptable. The food was also presented relatively plainly, and a smile from the waiters wouldn't have hurt either. With wine, water, and coffee for €40, it's certainly not expensive, but price alone isn't the deciding factor here.

18/08/2025: Excellent breakfast, with a wide selection of fresh, quality products. The owner and his staff are always kind, friendly, and welcoming. The atmosphere is relaxing and pleasant, perfect for starting the day. We will definitely return during our next vacation.

21/07/2025: Authentic and wonderful Italian pizza, I've been there 3 times and will continue to go. You can eat there and the pizza is freshly made in a wood-fired oven.

15/10/2025: We politely asked if we could have lunch, perhaps even outside. We were rudely turned away because the place was full. Asking is fair game, answering is courtesy, which was clearly lacking.

29/01/2026: It might be very good at lunchtime or during peak season; it's a shame we couldn't eat there, but judging by the reviews, we were right to avoid it... At 8:20 pm, they turned away two customers because the kitchen was "closed," but they weren't happy to let us drink... For a closing time of 11 pm, that's a bit lax... They don't like to bother, so they might as well close in the evening outside of the tourist season...

09/01/2026: We stopped by on a day when there was a fair in town, so since there was also an outside stall, the kitchen was a bit bare. Regardless, we ate quite well considering it's a bar, not a restaurant. The staff was friendly, if a bit aloof. The place is a bit affected by the smells from the adjacent kitchen.

30/12/2025: Giro di Bitta is always a great place, with excellent appetizers and generous plates. Service is always attentive and precise, highly recommended!

20/09/2025: I had a sirloin steak with green peppercorns: very fatty meat and a tasteless sauce. I wouldn't order it again if I were to return. Excellent service.

07/12/2025: Terrible experience. First of all, there's no list of allergens or whether the products are fresh or not. The platters with clams were completely tasteless. My plate had a maximum of 12 clams. One would expect fried fish with more ingredients. No, just shrimp tails and the usual squid. Absurd value for money. And I swear my parents have always had restaurants. So two tagliolini with clams and a fried fish that tasted very little like fish. 1/2 cup wine and water €56.

23/11/2025: For us, it's a point of reference when we come to Liguria. The atmosphere is close and familiar. Mrs. Ilaria is always very kind, it feels like being at home. Traditional dishes, very digestible. Even the carafe wine is good.

10/10/2025: I'll start by saying that over the past few years, I've only given positive publicity to this place. Excellent pizzas, fresh, quality ingredients, and a variety of dishes that are always good. The staff is friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, two weeks ago, we were deeply disappointed. Even more disappointing considering we went there for the umpteenth time because we thought we'd eat well. Let's start with the fact that it was a cold evening, and they sat us outside, where the curtains wouldn't close. On one side, they had completely open tables next to us, and people were keeping their jackets on. The wait staff was completely out of sorts and not up to the task of managing all the customers... the food arrived before the drinks! And we had to point this out to them. No bread, even after repeated requests. Then there were the dishes... spaghetti with clams, completely overcooked, sticky, and with onions! Pizza with frozen fries on top, which therefore cooled everything down. The hamburger buns, which have always been delicious, had extremely tough meat, terrible quality. In short, given the non-trattoria prices, you expect to eat and be served more than well! We skipped dessert because we were cold and so disappointed we left feeling disappointed. What a shame! I don't know if the chef has changed, but the wait staff has certainly changed, and the owner is still the same... but right now, I strongly advise against it.

13/01/2026: Pietra, a small, intimate village that doesn't deserve places like this, not so much for the type and location of the place, which is also positive, but for the owner, "I would say" arrogant, annoying, and unfriendly. I would see her well in Piedmont, or perhaps she's even like that in those places. No offense, but I know that attitude towards outsiders, having traveled a lot, but we were all from the area. In summary: Pizza 1, ham to forget, tomato, oh well... waitress 5, because she has to work, cashier (alleged owner/manager) ZERO. Review internally and physically.

06/01/2026: This review is for the restaurant only (not the hotel). Very poor service, extremely long wait times, and the waitress who served us (perhaps the owner? Or at least one of the restaurant managers) was rude and unfriendly. The food was good, but the aforementioned issues were significant. At the tables around us, we saw her twice send pizzas back because they weren't the ones we ordered. In short, there's a lot of room for improvement, to be polite.
