09/11/2025: The good: appetizer of cru de te and tuna tataki were very good and fresh and accompanied by perfect sauces. Presentation was always very pretty. It was a strong start and I was very excited to get my food My husband and I got amberjack and the sauces were again perfect and balanced. My friend loved her well done steak. The bad: the amberjack was overcooked and slightly fishy which is bad for 30€. The lamb was very fatty and cut into odd small shapes? Like they weren't round🤷🏻‍♀️ (again the sauces were perfect). I asked the server to split 2 ways and he said to pay up front... Which had a grumpy older lady who just handed me the whole bill? Had to get the guy to fix it. Server didn't smile and didn't say sorry for making us wait for 30 minutes to get our mains after our friends had theirs and we're half done.... How does a well done steak come out 10 minutes before amberjack? I don't mind the place setting fee but the food was overpriced for fishy amberjack and fatty lamb. We spent 200€ between the 4 of us and you can barely act like you want to be our waiter? Don't just silently move plates around. Much better place 6 minute walk away through the tunnel and up a side road a bit called Trattoria Tamanaco.

08/11/2025: Food was super average and over priced. They charge a €4 “Place/setting fee” which they do not warn you about before. Honestly not worth the money at all.

03/10/2025: I didn't eat here, but getting on in age I found myself in the embarrassing situation of a desperate need to use a toilet. The restaurant was virtually empty when I made my request. A young girl turned me down , three times despite my pleas . 🥺 . Luckily I managed to get to the next restaurant. A very bad experience

02/09/2025: We stopped at this establishment as soon as we arrived in Monterosso…the food was decent but nothing exceptional…the prices were above average…

02/11/2025: My husband and I went to eat. We entered the restaurant and for 20 minutes no one was seen... at a certain point I went into the kitchen to see if at least the chef was present. We glossed over it... we ordered two grilled dishes... a plate arrived with 1 tiny sausage, a small piece of dry and unchewed chicken and a small piece of invisible meat, a small plate of chips as hard as cod... a small dessert for the beauty of 43 euros per person... to get the bill we had to call them twice because they were in the kitchen chatting. Negative experience.

21/08/2025: Dated hotel. The room we stayed in was quite run-down, with a half-broken French window, a rusty towel warmer, a blind bathroom with a fan that begged for mercy. The parking lot is a pothole. Breakfast has limited choices and all packaged products. It doesn't justify the price. It's a shame because, on the contrary, the staff is very kind and helpful, and the restaurant area is very beautiful.

08/09/2025: The bread, focaccia, and pastries are good, but the "CSI-style" barrier of chairs and tape to keep people away from the counter is TERRIBLE! Not even in the time of COVID. And if they mock us for our "typical Ligurian hospitality," let's not complain...

31/08/2025: Illegal Focaccia is so good! Even reheated the next day. Delicious bread. Excellent pastries: I love the Hollandaise pastries.

20/10/2025: We went to the bar in October and drank a café latte and ate tiramisu. The coffee wasn't really hot, but the tiramisu was okay. When I wanted to use the restroom, I accidentally used the one reserved for staff. The notice was on the sliding door, but I couldn't see it because the sliding door was open, obscuring the sign. An older gentleman, presumably the owner, saw this and yelled at me in Italian. Not particularly customer-friendly, as was the case in the café in general.

18/10/2025: Pizza was very good and inexpensive!

19/10/2025: Unfortunately we had a negative experience, despite the beauty of the place the service was really poor. The staff was undemanding and very hostile. The outside environment was very dirty.

18/10/2025: Anyone who remembers Klainguti's Zena cake before the change of ownership should avoid trying the one made now by the same pastry shop: it would be a huge disappointment because, while it has retained the name, it is now completely different and noticeably worse. It's a shame, a piece of Genoa gone.

13/08/2025: A beautiful, well-organized venue. A historic venue, great evenings of entertainment.

24/06/2025: Very bad club. The bouncer was rude and mean. Average age was over 50. There was no official dresscode but many people got denied for "their outfits". Would not recommend (especially not for tourists).

23/09/2025: Before boarding the ferry, we decided to stop by for something to eat. The place is small but well-stocked and open 24 hours a day (even on Sundays). We ordered several types of pizza and focaccia. Admittedly, as others have written, it wasn't the best, but it wasn't inedible either. The girl who served us was friendly.

16/09/2025: This focacceria has a wide selection of focaccias and more, and there's no shortage of opportunities to stop by after disembarking from the ferry to stock up and take these delicacies home. Fresh, just-made, to delight the family.

08/09/2025: The bathrooms are nice, but the service is poor. If you're looking for a mid- to high-priced option, it's fine, but adjust accordingly.

14/07/2025: Well-equipped bungalow, pool in excellent condition, and almost never crowded. Lack of keys for single rooms. Remarkably far from the city center and no transportation or shuttle to/from the bungalows. Friendly and calm staff.

11/05/2025: Vorrei iniziare la mia recensione dicendo (come ho letto in un altro commento) di diffidare delle recensioni negative! Sono ESAGERATE!!! Abbiamo scoperto Il Ciliegio alla Fattoria San Desiderio quasi per caso… e ce ne siamo davvero innamorati. La location ha un altissimo potenziale: immersa nel verde, con un’atmosfera rilassata e perfetta per le famiglie. La presenza degli animali è un valore aggiunto, anche se — va detto — le stalle potrebbero essere mantenute con maggiore cura e pulizia. Abbiamo visto , asini, mucche, capre, un cinghiale e un maiale…e un gufo reale è stata una sorpresa meravigliosa! Aggiungo che con un euro compri carote da dare agli animali… E un parco avventura molto bello per i bambini più grandi! Il cibo è semplice ma genuino e servito con cortesia. Si percepisce la passione di chi lavora con impegno ogni giorno. Il menù fisso comprende due primi, un secondo con contorno, antipasto, dolce, bevande e vino: 30 euro per gli adulti, 15 i bambini, un prezzo onestissimo per quanto offerto e per la qualità. L’unica nota un po’ meno convincente è stata la carne, che comunque resta mangiabile. Il servizio è lento ma ti puoi godere la giornata e i bambini possono spezzare il momento del pasto con qualche pausa, secondo me iniziando all’una abbiamo finito alle 15/15.30 ma comprensibilmente: il personale è ridotto e fa davvero del suo meglio. Ultima osservazione secondo me potreste investire nell’acquisto di seggioloni Ikea a poco prezzo25 euro circa o usati ne vendono tantissimi… (Gli e***ril per esempio che sicuramente non è un locale per bambini ne avrà più di 20🤣🤣🤣 .. ) Noi sapevamo che non c’erano e quindi lo abbiamo portato… non costa niente perché la strada è veramente cinque minuti a piedi! Ma mi sentivo di dirvelo… In conclusione, Il Ciliegio non merita affatto certe critiche severe. Anzi: torneremo sicuramente!

11/05/2025: We came for Women's Day. We've been here several times and the welcome is truly family-like. The staff is kind and helpful. The wait is reasonable and understandable. The food is good and simple. Perfect place to relax, whether you're with your family or not. Ideal for children. Gorgeous animals!!!

16/06/2025: well so many nice reviews… but at lunch with a fixed menu said by word of mouth without anything written to choose you can't hear… on top of that I asked for the à la carte menu because I wanted to eat fish but they don't do it at lunch…. I don't know about dinner… but I definitely won't go back for lunch!!!!

31/10/2025: I was passing by for a business lunch. I looked at the menu and chose gnocchi with pesto. I asked the waiter if the pesto was made locally, and he said absolutely yes... "I'll start by saying, being Genoese, I know the product and its ingredients very well." For the main course, a stewed stockfish with potatoes. I noticed a cheap, industrial pesto with a lot of non-EVOO, so I asked the waiter again if he was sure it was their own, and he confirmed his previous answer (by the way, I found a plastic filament in the sauce and mentioned it). The stewed stockfish arrived... (a simple dish to prepare) no comment!!!! The dish was equally poorly prepared. A place where attention to cleanliness leaves much to be desired. Expensive given the poor quality of the ingredients. I wouldn't recommend it even to those who are passing by. Better to have a toasted sandwich or a sandwich!!!

13/09/2025: Rustica Trattoria never disappoints, truly excellent cuisine, fixed price at €12. Freshly caught sea bream, Ligurian style.

03/11/2025: Burnt pizzas, a broken POS, and terrible service. I won't say anything else. Never again.

01/10/2025: An old trattoria in Cornigliano. Good and fast service. I ordered spaghetti with clams (good quantity and excellent quality). The pasta was delicious, crispy, and the dough was very easy to digest. Fair prices.
