09/09/2025: Sottoripa is a historic town, once filled with taverns and "scagni" (shops) brimming with merchandise from the old port. Today, it retains its charm, with establishments increasingly geared toward tourism, some continuing tradition, others reflecting Genoa's renowned multiculturalism.

03/09/2025: I had the pleasure of returning to this place, and I can confirm the excellent experience I've had in the past. Today I tried the gnocchi with pesto: a generous portion, authentic flavor, and truly delicious. On other occasions, I've tried the ravioli and the tiramisu made with focaccia, always fresh and delicious. The quality of the food is consistent, the prices are fair, and the staff is distinguished by their kindness and helpfulness. I highly recommend this place to anyone in Genoa who wants to eat well in a welcoming atmosphere.

09/10/2025: BEWARE OF GETTING RIPPED OFF WITH THE PRICES! They tried to confuse you at the checkout by throwing out nonsensical prices, probably because we weren't locals. We caught them right away, and they didn't even know what to say except obviously lower the price without an explanation or even a "sorry." How sad 🤯

19/09/2025: Brilliant. Owner so nice and very friendly. Made us home made food from scratch, a form of thin focaccia with cheese between the layers. Perfect find

09/09/2025: "A customer for over twenty years, I've seen this place deteriorate for the worse. The family atmosphere of the past has been replaced by arrogant attitudes and unjustified jealousy on the part of the current manager's partner, making the experience truly unpleasant. Add to this the exorbitant prices and ridiculous portions (for example, the 'fried fish' with six small fish arranged in a cross shape). It's a shame, because a place I once loved has been completely ruined."

13/11/2025: A simple trattoria, excellent food, and a relaxed atmosphere. I'm not crazy about the desserts.

12/11/2025: This historic trattoria has improved its hospitality and menu over the years, maintaining the high standard of its signature dishes. Open for lunch only.

30/10/2025: The place itself is very beautiful, with a fantastic location on the Melogno hill. The food was also good. It's a shame about the staff's attitude: they were unhelpful and inflexible. We went with a large group of friends on bikes. We sat outside without being a nuisance, and given the season, the place wasn't crowded. It seems like they did us a favor by serving us.

19/10/2025: At the end of June, we had a good mixed platter washed down with beer. Prices were high, but at least we got to eat, even after a long wait. Yesterday, after another wait, we gave up. Both times, we felt like we were bothering the waitresses. What a shame.

05/10/2025: Of course, the view of the sea at Nervi was fantastic, but the seafood spaghetti tasted like nothing... not even tomato... you could taste the parsley a little, but why did you find it in chunks in your mouth?

02/10/2025: I went to Ristorante Thermopolium in Genoa with a friend. I had the fish cooked in a potato crust, and my friend had spaghetti frutti di mare. We enjoyed our food, which was tasty, well-cooked, and came in generous portions. The restaurant is located on the beautiful Passeggiata Anita Garibaldi in Nervi, offering a stunning sea view that adds to the dining experience. We enjoyed a gorgeous July sunset, and the staff were exceptionally kind, making us feel truly welcome. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, perfect for a leisurely meal. Prices were reasonable for the quality and location. Overall, it was an amazing evening, and I’d recommend Ristorante Thermopolium to anyone looking for authentic Ligurian cuisine with a view.

26/09/2025: The gluten-free sandwiches are good, but it's a shame that the bread used is the packaged kind found in supermarkets, and that since they've been gluten-free for years, they haven't yet managed to offer gluten-free chips and bacon (and contamination). Even though the sandwiches have been revisited (removing ingredients like beacon), there's still a surcharge on the gluten-free menu.
