27/01/2024: Tutto ottimo, prezzo giusto e locale accogliente! Consiglio spassionato: curare un po’ di più i dettagli. Nelle tovagliette c’era ancora il prezzo, i copri tavoli erano un po’ sporchi e soprattutto, quando abbiamo chiesto cosa fosse una pietanza, la ragazza ci ha risposto: “Non ne ho idea”. Non fattibile, considerato che preparano quasi tutto loro e che così il cliente non si sente troppo sicuro del posto in cui sta mangiando.

12/05/2024: We ate there on Saturday 11 May for both lunch and dinner. Very good and particular first courses, abundant and excellent second courses. Efficient and kind staff, the bill was fair for what we ate. My wife and I highly recommend it.

The idea of ​​the fixed menu at €18 including first course, second course, side dish and coffee is very convenient; delicious and excellent quality food (we had spaghetti with seafood, fried fish and baked potatoes); very quiet environment that makes you immediately feel at home. We will definitely be back!

01/06/2024: Ci era stato consigliato questo ristorante, ma siamo stati molto sfortunati: era l’unico aperto quella sera (poco dopo il 25 aprile) e ovviamente era stato preso d’assalto. La cucina era sfornita di moltissimi piatti e abbiamo dovuto ripiegare sul poco che c’era, che comunque era molto buono. Nota di merito: il personale è stato veramente carino con noi, accogliendoci nonostante la difficoltà e invogliandoci comunque a passare una bella serata. Torneremo sicuramente!

The history behind the place sounded cool and reviewer recommended it. We arrived early (730 pm) and the restaurant was virtually empty. Host seated us at the front door. Two of us on chairs and two on hard bench. No one said welcome. There were Other tables of four with regular chairs and cushions. Other Italians—yes we are Americans- came in after us and were warmly welcomed, got water and their drink orders. We sat and sat. Finally we motioned for someone to come over. We said hello and good evening in Italian. The woman could not have been more rude. Clearly not pleased we were there. We asked if she would recommend anything or if they had a QR code for an English menu or a physical English menu. Answer NO! Some of the things on the menu we knew and recognized and some we did not. We had labored with Google translate on the menu to no avail. Handwriting was difficult to decipher. She waived over someone and he helped us but was not over friendly. We got our food and it was better than okay and less than good. Other places in Viterbo were so much better on quality of food and service. Like La Gargnola !!! Fantastic. No one asked if we wanted more water more wine or a dessert and coffee. Underwhelmed and not impressed. Other places far superior.

26/03/2024: Rooster started to yell at 4am and continued 20 minutes. After that started dog barking loud for another 15 minutes. It was good morning at 4.00. Breakfast was good. Location is good when having own car.

12/03/2024: For work I stayed at the Hotel Villa Sofia and I was immediately positively impressed by the tranquility of the place. The Superior double room has a pleasant view of the swimming pool and the internal garden, a very clean, spacious and bright room. Good and plentiful breakfast, friendly and polite staff. I will definitely return for future work commitments.

06/04/2024: Not really, it's the first negative review as a guide. The place is pleasant and well kept, with the tables under a beautiful pergola. A family lunch in which a fragile person is also present, 1 mixed house starter is ordered, acceptable 2 pappardelle with white sauce, 1 tagliatelle with meat sauce and 3 fried lamb chops accompanied by fried artichokes, 1 meatball. The following arrive: the appetizer, 1 pappardella and 1 cutlet and artichokes, then the kitchen forgets about the table, the waitress comes several times, at least 3, solicited and every time rudely replies that we had to wait. Horrible pappardelle, one part is overcooked, another is hard, and pappardelle doesn't exist, it's a decomposed and chopped mince, unacceptable from Romagna. The fried artichokes are cold and soft, the lamb chops are badly fried, very greasy, the meat is rare. The tagliatelle with meat sauce never arrived, they were for the fragile person who in the end almost didn't have lunch. The waitress showed no sensitivity after pointing out several times that the fragile person had not yet had his dish. With the bill we didn't pay for 1 pappardella and the tagliatelle. Catering is something else, courtesy and education make the waiter professional.

They respect and enforce all Covid regulations for everyone's health.

13/05/2024: We showed up at the restaurant at the last minute, during peak time on the weekend and still managed to find a table for four. Very friendly waiter, fairly quick service, excellent dishes and adequate prices. I ordered lombrichelli alla Viterbo, very tasty, I would have had an encore. For dessert I tried the tiramisu with chestnuts because I was intrigued. Good, maybe just a little too sugary for my taste, but that certainly doesn't lower my rating. Nice and clean location, central location. I recommend it and would happily return!

27/04/2024: Locale specializzato in spaghetti. Se ne trovano di tutti i tipi e tutti i gusti. Per quanto mi riguarda ho apprezzato di più quelli con condimento a base di carne o verdure. Consiglio di rimanere sulle ricette classiche. Buoni anche i dolci.

08/12/2023: I used to frequent this bar a few years ago. I returned this evening and unfortunately I have to say that it was not a positive experience. The place is always very beautiful and welcoming, two floors full of charm. Too bad the service was really bad. They made us move from the upper floor, saying that the tables were already booked, making us "sit on the landing", a cold corner in front of a window and placed on the stairs. A few minutes later, upon the arrival of 5 people (there were two of us), a reservation was cancelled. Incredible timing. After half an hour of waiting I had to go and get one of our orders which was lying abandoned on the counter while I'm still waiting for the other. A few years ago it was definitely better but maybe I was on the wrong day. I definitely wouldn't recommend it though.
