18/02/2025: Cozy place, helpful staff, typical and much appreciated dishes. The dishes were more abundant than expected, as well as very good. All washed down with a good loose wine. The waiting time, once seated, was normal. Advise

15/02/2025: A beautiful discovery. The location of the Grottino reflects the atmosphere of Viterbo, adequate furnishings for a place in the historic center, in my humble opinion the roses were a little out of place but otherwise everything was very nice. Let's get to the dishes: very good mixed house starter, excellent raw materials, cheeses and cured meats, although I would have avoided the bresaola rolls with spreadable cheese and the slightly old-fashioned combination of melon and raw ham. Pea and asparagus timbale excellent, as is the cheese quiche. The savory croissant stuffed with lard is excellent. The first courses (green tortelli stuffed with cheese with truffle and asparagus tagliatelle with crispy bacon and pecorino di fossa) were overall very good, with two small imperfections: 1) the tortelli pastry was very thick; 2) they were not drained carefully, in fact I detected the presence of cooking water at the bottom of the plate. The tagliatelle were perfect. Good coffee served with artisanal chocolates. Of note is the extreme professionalism of the dining room staff, from picking up coats as soon as we enter to bringing a bag hanger to the table for my lady, always keeping glasses full, providing differentiated menus (mine with prices, my wife's without prices). The only advice is to make the wooden balustrade more stable when climbing the stairs leading to the bathroom. Excellent value for money. Super recommended.

10/11/2024: Partendo per una visita al Paese delle Fiabe ho cercato a caso su internet un posto dove mangiare e ho prenotato in questa Osteria. Esperienza sopraffina! Io e il mio compagno ci siamo deliziati. Abbiamo mangiato dei ravioli cacio e pepe con pancetta croccante,una goduria per il palato! Una tagliata di manzo con patate cotte alla brace, che mi ha riportata indietro nel tempo...sapore antico e genuino! Per concludere un bel tiramisù fatto in casa... spettacolare! Siamo usciti dopo circa un'ora super contenti e soddisfatti. Anche le cameriere carinissime, gentili e disponibili!

My pasta was perfectly cooked, still chewy and with a light fresh tomato/sausage/fennel sauce. And my main was a good portion of tender beef meatballs in a rich tomato sauce. Friendly service and honest unfussy good food in a true "local secret" restaurant. Recommended

25/03/2025: Small and very characteristic place located in the city center. For lunch, they offer a fixed menu for €10 including a first course, second course, side dish and water, to which you can add the house dessert for €2, a bruschetta appetizer for €5 and extra drinks, in addition to water. An attention that I really appreciated is the possibility of choosing the reduced menu without the second course for €7.50. The menu changes and today for the first course you could choose between lasagna and fusilli with radicchio and gorgonzola, scallops and a side dish of baked potatoes or salad. Since I don't eat meat, I chose the fusilli and salad, I must say they are very good. So, if you pass through the center and don't want the usual sandwich, choose this place, it's worth it! 😉😉

04/02/2025: I must say that there is no more appropriate name.... A lot of good... By name and fact! Quality, courtesy and goodness in its pure state. I stumbled upon it by chance I must say... But, I appreciated the quality of the products... A delicious cappuccino accompanied by an equally good croissant. My choice of filling fell on pistachio... But next time, you go too, I'll try it with pear, or orange or more simply apricot jam.

29/03/2025: This evening I would like to speak out in favor of this place with a "rustic feel". I have read some exaggeratedly negative reviews which do not correspond to the experience I had today at lunch. I suspect that they are reviews born from a sort of "unfair competition". I will try to explain myself, I am a restaurateur in a locality and my business has few customers compared to another, what do I do? I throw mud at those who are more successful than me. This is obviously my impression, I say this because today I went to this place for lunch with my family and I must say, in all honesty, that it does not even remotely reflect any of the negative reviews I have read. The service carried out masterfully by Barbara the owner, her daughters Cristina and Gloria with Michael have abundantly passed every test, demonstrating high professionalism, kindness and savoir-faire in recommending dishes and serving them with tact and discretion. What can we say about the dinner, which was impeccable from all points of view. Mr. Pietro demonstrated his culinary skills in a sublime way, presenting simple but extremely delicious dishes, "tingling our taste buds" with the traditional cuisine of Tuscia. This is why I wonder: is it possible that Mr. When Pietro cooks, does he do "double standards"? When an artist is one, and he is one, he always has the same modus operandi. The five stars given by an experienced Google Locale Guide, which is anything but generous, will soon be revealed. To celebrate my wife's birthday, where to go if not back to Ballaccia, if I leave Rome to get to S. Martino, will there be a reason? It's easy to say, it has never disappointed me and even today it was a riot of olfactory and taste sensations, as always they proved to be up to the task, in cooking and in welcoming, here they make you feel like one of the family from the first moment. This time too I can only recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly

04/04/2025: All the staff, starting from the owner, make you feel at home, they are polite, friendly and if you have any doubts about the dishes they can give you a very precise description! For intolerances it's the best! I'm lactose intolerant and I'm on the safe side with them, starting from the pizzas to the suppli! Not to mention the meat... I recommend you absolutely try it!
