04/01/2025: Non è una cena, è un'esperienza! Incuriositi dalle foto del locale, abbiamo tentato in varie occasioni di prenotare per il giorno stesso ma abbiamo trovato sempre pieno. Complici le festività ieri abbiamo tentato la fortuna e abbiamo trovato posto. Ci ha accolto una donna sorridente ed estrosa, in un ambiente sereno e allo stesso tempo stimolante. Uno di quei posti che ti fa sentire di essere coccolati vicino al camino anche se questo non c'è! Normalmente non siamo i tipi che badano a queste cose, ma l'atmosfera di ieri ci ha veramente colpito. Venendo alla cena: strepitosa. Sapori veri, seppur articolati, per nulla artefatti. Il filetto al barolo era speciale, una carne tenerissima di ottima qualità e cucinata in un modo magistrale. Anche i dolci ottimi e finalmente un sorbetto degno di questo nome. A fine cena, e lo facciamo raramente, siamo rimasti seduti a parlare con la proprietaria e le persone sedute ai tavoli vicini. Siamo usciti da lì con il cuore aperto e la pancia piena. Ho visto che qualcuno parla del prezzo alto, ci credo! È come essere andati a cena dalla tua zia preferita, mangi tanto, tutto fantastico e sei stato in famiglia. Ovvio che se mentre esci devi pagare il conto anche 5 euro ti sembrerebbe un' esagerazione, quando mai hai pagato a casa di tua zia?! Ecco, Carla è talmente brava a farti sentire a casa che uno rischia di scordarsi di certe meccaniche capitalistiche.. (Che poi a conti fatti non è assolutamente caro, ma vabbè) A presto, zia Carla!

23/11/2024: Tempera kleptotheque After having followed the franchise on the infamous social networks of degradation for some time, I decided against my will to come across a "simple" aperitif at the branch located in via Pigorini. Having archived the impeccable kindness of the staff, the only positive spoiler, we ask for a double glass of red and one of their flagships: a mixed platter of cold cuts and cheeses - albeit uncertain given the exorbitant cost, as we feared it would herald a sumptuous and full-bodied meal in view of the upcoming dinner in another venue. Luckily the risk was avoided, at the modest sum of 37 euros for two aperitifs including glasses (6 euros each), we consumed the charity aperitif: machine-cut cheese with thicknesses of 1-2 millimetres, sliced ​​with lenticular research, whose transparency backlight allowed you to appreciate the pleasant furnishings. Yet another demonstration that you should stay away from these places of declared social fame. Slogan "You can't throw coins at the Trevi fountain because it's under maintenance and you have heavy pockets? Well, it's the place for you, money will disappear without knowing why 😄"

09/12/2024: I've lived in Rome 10 years and have always thought this place looked nice from the outside, but I was mistaken. I worked in hospitality at bars and restaurants from 5 years and appreciate good service and quality food. This place only offered an awful experience. FOOD: All re-heated and mushy. Not even the patate al forno had any crunch to them. Zucchini flowers only acceptable because they don't require real cooking. Small portions for what you pay. SERVICE: Shameful. Drinks were added to our tab that we didn't drink, and when we asked for the check before paying to leave, they wouldn't let us. Luckily, my friend did catch the added drinks on the screen of the register and told the man we didn't order the extras. He didn't believe her, and had to verify with his colleague who confirmed what my friend said. The same man kept taking things away from our table in the middle of our meal. The bread was taken away when our plates were still full and moved to another table (gross. What if we'd been eating from that bread bowl? Shouldn't ever be done). He attempted to take the water when it was still half-full, and I caught him. Our napkins and silverware (which were in a bucket and not laid out on the table), were taken away before desserts were served, and I had to ask for them. ATMOSPHERE: Something illegal is clearly going on here. One friend of mine was here one night when the local police came and fined them for outdoor seating which was illegal on that one-way road. Second, the fact they can't set food or wine down at the table itself but rather set it all at a little side table next to where you eat is sketch. Implies that they lack the proper licensing of a real restaurant. Third, it was beyond crowded that multiple times, the coats of people walking by landed in our plates. Gross, not to mention distracting. Might as well be eating with the people sitting 1 foot away from you. Plus, at 9pm you're forced to leave your table, which creates absolutely chaos when it comes time to pay and leave because ALL tables are trying to pay and get out while all new guests are trying to be seated, in tight rooms with people falling over one another and pushing their way through. If you suffer from social anxiety or claustrophobia, this place is the stuff of nightmares.

07/12/2024: I recently discovered this bistro fishmonger, we have already been there twice for lunch with my husband, it is not only very fresh fish (the raw fish are always exceptional) but also the first courses are fabulous... Whoever cooks this raw material knows how to treat it and bring it out at its best without too much processing which in the end only covers the fish, so we will return whenever we can. The fifth star is given by the very correct quality-price ratio. Small but interesting wine list. I would also like to try the other place in the area.

28/12/2024: We went for lunch on Sunday. Even though the restaurant was full, they welcomed us with attention and kindness. Lunch was wonderful. Abundant dishes. Fettuccine with porcini mushrooms and pappardelle with wild boar are excellent and beef fillet and sheep's roasts are also top👍🏻

28/12/2024: We ate for lunch attracted by the good reviews, but unfortunately not up to the asking price, especially the dishes with truffles which didn't taste the truffle at all, I wouldn't go back.
